00:00Hi kids! Today we will learn about food and homes of animals. So let's start.

00:10Let's learn about food of animals.

00:15Kids, different animals eat different kinds of food.

00:21Animals like cows, goats, horses, giraffes, zebras, camels, and elephants eat grass, leaves, and other parts of the green plants.

00:37These animals are called plant-eating animals, and also they are called herbivores.

00:48Some animals like wolves, tigers, and lions eat the flesh of other animals.

00:57Such animals are called flesh-eating animals, or carnivores.

01:07Some animals eat both plants and flesh.

01:12These animals are called plant- and flesh-eaters, or omnivores.

01:19Remember, they eat both types of food items, plants as well as flesh, of other animals.

01:29Examples of omnivores are bears, rats, cats, and crows.

01:39Some animals like hens, sparrows, and squirrels eat grains. They are called grain-eaters.

01:52Some animals have a sticky tongue. They use their sticky tongue to catch insects for their food.

02:03These animals are called insect-eaters.

02:08Lizards, frogs, spiders, dragonflies, and ladybugs are examples of insect-eaters.

02:21A spider can trap an insect in its web.

02:26Once an insect gets trapped, it becomes the food for the spider.

02:33So kids, we learned about what do different animals eat.

02:42Now, let's learn where do different animals live.

02:47Kids, just like us, animals too need a home to live in.

02:55Now let's learn about the homes of different animals.

02:59Different animals live in different types of homes.

03:03All animals need a home to keep themselves safe from heat, cold, rain, and enemies.

03:15Some animals make their own homes.

03:19Honeybees. Honeybees make hives and live in their hives.

03:26These are called beehives.

03:31Spider. A spider spins its web.

03:36It makes its web with the help of a sticky material produced by its own body.

03:43Different types of spiders spins different webs.

03:47Birds. Birds make different types of nests.

03:53They use their nests to lay eggs and to bring up their baby birds.

04:00Rabbits dig burrows in the ground to live in it.

04:05It saves them from enemies and bad weather.

04:11Some animals live in natural homes.

04:16Lions. Lions live in a forest.

04:21Monkeys, squirrels, koalas live on trees.

04:29Giraffe, deer, chimpanzee, wolf, jackal, hippopotamus, rhinoceros live in forests and grasslands.

04:45Jellyfish, starfish, whale, dolphin, sharks, and many more lives in water.

04:58So kids, today we learned what do different animals eat and where do different animals live.
