00:00all, we will learn which animals are called predators. Those animals that kills another
00:09animal for food and eat the flesh of other animals are called predators. Example,
00:16lion kills deers, zebras, foxes, rhino, monkeys for its food. Snakes kills rats and other small
00:31animals for its food. Eagles eat fish or some dead animals as its food. Birds eat small insects as
00:44their food. Such animals are called predators. Those animals that are killed by other animals
00:56for food are called prey. Examples, goats, pig, deer, zebra are killed by lion, tiger, fox for
01:10their food. So they are preys of these animals. Predators have features like big jaws or sharp
01:21teeth and speed to catch the prey and tear the flesh of prey and hold them still. Now let's see
01:29some prey predator relationships. Some examples of predator prey relationships are lions and
01:39buffaloes as lions eat buffaloes. Tiger and deer as tiger eats deers. Snake and frog as snakes eat
01:51frogs. Python and rabbit as python eats rabbit. Bear and fish, cheetah and gazelle, wolves and
02:05rabbits, frogs and insects. Now let's learn some other terms like herbivores, carnivores and
02:17omnivores animals. All the animals including humans need food for energy and different animals eat
02:27different food. Like cows and lions do not eat the same food. We classified animals on the basis
02:39of what they eat. Carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. All the animals that eat only plants,
02:51the leaves, stems, fruits, flowers or roots of the plants are called herbivore animals.
03:01Like cow, buffalo, ox, horse, goat, deer, zebra, elephant, kangaroo, rabbit, panda, rhinoceros,
03:15koala, parrot and tortoise. All these animals eat only plants as their food so these are herbivores.
03:27Herbivores have specially designed teeth for their diet of plants. Most herbivores have mouth full
03:35of flat and round teeth that helps them to chew or grind the plant material into smaller pieces
03:44so that it's easy to digest. Herbivores mostly do not have sharp or pointed teeth.
03:56All animals that eat only flesh of other animals are called carnivores. Cheetah, crocodile, dolphin,
04:07eagle, fox, hawk, hyena and lion eat only flesh of other animals so these are carnivores.
04:21Teeth of carnivores are long and pointed for tearing the flesh of other animals.
04:29Flesh-eating animals have speed, sharp teeth and claws that are meant to hunt, kill and rend tough flesh.
04:42Now let's see what are omnivores.
04:48All the animals that eat both plants as well as flesh of other animals are called omnivores.
04:57Now let's see some examples of omnivores. First example are humans that is non-vegetarian people
05:08eat both vegetarian food that is the food for plants and meat. So non-vegetarian people are
05:18omnivores. Now let's see some examples of omnivorous animals. Bears eat both berries and
05:26fish so they are omnivores. Rats eat everything from grains to meat that is they just eat almost
05:37everything so they are omnivores. Omnivores have teeth which are very similar to carnivores.
05:49Chimpanzee, crow, mad pie, mice, raccoon, raven and rats are omnivores. So kids today we learned
06:03what are predators, what are preys and we clarified animals on the basis of what they eat that is
06:13herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.
