Lily Parmenter speaks about her mother's disappearance from the Atherton Tablelands, 20 years on
Transcript
00:00It's been 20 years since my beautiful mum, Katie O'Shea, disappeared from Atherton, December 29th, 2005.
00:0620 years of heartbreak, 20 years of wondering what happened, missing her smile, her warmth, and the way she made us feel safe.
00:13Katie was kind, loving, and full of life. She deserved so much more than what happened to her.
00:18She was taken from us far too soon, and not knowing the full truth has left a hole in our hearts that could never really heal.
00:24Even after all this time, we're still searching for answers.
00:27Someone out there knows something, maybe a small detail, a memory, something you saw or heard around the time she went missing.
00:33If you know anything at all about what happened to Katie in Atherton, come forward.
00:36Even the smallest piece of information could finally bring us closer to the truth and the justice she deserves.
00:42I miss my mum every single day. Her laugh, her smile, her love, her tin whistle, her cooking, all the things that made her who she was.
00:5120 years is a long time to live with no answers, but I will never stop hoping, never stop fighting,
00:55and I will never stop remembering her.
00:58I would also like to convey a personal message to the two persons of interest in this case.
01:03For the integrity of the ongoing investigation, I won't name you, but you know who you are.
01:08Our mum is missing, and we are exhausted and broken from not knowing.
01:13Your silence is a betrayal, and it's tearing our family apart.
01:17If you know anything at all, you need to stop and cooperate with the police.
01:22We deserve answers, she deserves better, and you know what the right thing to do is.
01:27It's just a question of whether or not you will do the right thing.
01:29You know what reason why me to
01:33As a reward man can do to do so I should tell them,
01:35Because some of us will tell thisителейельَ
01:39I will have to get more than nothing, because we are part of,
01:42I should learn, and lastly, if you are trying to do any issues,
01:47it's a divine thing.
01:49In this case, I will do this very hard, and if we I am to,
01:51I will kind of take everybody over to another story.
01:54And you are going to learn about anything.
