New Australian PBR champion had a tumultuous time in the grand finals in Townsville.

00:00I mean, in your wildest dreams, did you think 2024 would end like this?

00:04No, definitely not.

00:06Yeah, I'm very happy to be here.

00:09Take me through the night, it was a bit of a rollercoaster.

00:12To be honest, not to be rude, but it was a terrible night for me.

00:16But, yeah, I just, a lot, yeah.

00:19Tim, I think it was just the pressure got to me a little bit.

00:22But, yeah, a few good balls I got on, so, yeah, they just got the better of me.

00:28Couldn't put it any other way, so, yeah.

00:30Having said that, I mean, I think maybe in a little bit of time

00:34you'll look back and realise what a crazy achievement this year's been.

00:37I mean, is it still just sinking in a bit?

00:39Yeah, definitely, like, I sort of, I tried to put it to rest a little bit,

00:44like, this weekend, not put too much pressure on myself.

00:47But, yeah, I definitely think it'll sink in in the next couple of days

00:51and, yeah, I'll be jumping for the roof.

00:54And saw you sort of late in the short go there, cheering your brother on.

01:00I mean, that's a pretty awesome experience, too,

01:03to be right there while he's winning the Grand Prix.

01:05Oh, yeah, definitely. I couldn't be happier for him.

01:07Like, he's an absolute unit.

01:09Like, he just goes out and does what he does best and loves every bit of it.

01:12Like, yeah, all credit to him, to be honest.

01:15If he didn't have four months off at the start of the year,

01:18I guarantee you'd be here doing that interview.

01:20He is one ranked person.

01:23And, well, that might be the case next year.

01:25It's not going to be an easy battle then?

01:26No.

01:27Not just Macaulay, but there's been some great riding this year.

01:30Yeah.

01:31What about all the boys?

01:32I mean, how do you feel about being in this group now that's coming through?

01:35Yeah, they're all doing exceptional.

01:37There was a fair few rookies this year, and we were all just battling it out,

01:40having fun, and we're all great mates.

01:42Like, we just, yeah, love to beer.

01:44It doesn't matter who's winning as long as we're winning,

01:46and, yeah, it's a bunch of fun.

01:48Do you feel ready to get on a plane and go to Canada?

01:51Give me a couple of days and I'll be right.

01:54What are you looking forward most to about that experience?

01:57Oh, the colder weather.

01:58It's a bit warm over here.

02:00But the Bulls, the change of Bulls will be awesome.

02:02I haven't been on the States or anything,

02:05so the change of Bulls will be very good.

02:07And meeting lots of new people, that's, yeah, good to get my name out there.

02:11So, yeah.
