00:30alberta after that come we come home for uh thanksgiving then christmas and then after uh
00:35after the first of the year we're here for pretty much the whole time right um if there's anybody
00:42hiring down there in florida i'm looking for a second job in this economy well you want to go
00:47you want to move yes i want to move to florida just yeah you could just call in every morning
00:53yeah yeah night jobs but when you look at this bruins team actually if you were if you were
00:59calling in or you were remote we literally could shut your microphone that is true mid uh four
01:05yeah four minute and i'd still be talking but i could never do remote because i feel like it i
01:10need
01:11to be in person it's like sex you know um right when you look at this bruins team i'm not
01:16sure if i
01:17asked you this question the expectations we had of this bruins team going into the season
01:23i think we're kind of all over the place but do you believe that they're performing well above
01:27what we all thought or is this what you expected by this team through you know the first 15 20
01:35games
01:36of the season i think that you know the last couple years i've kind of gone in thinking the same
01:42thing
01:42that i think they were gonna make the playoffs but you know it would be a dogfight till the end
01:49um i didn't expect this start from them and i think even though the start's been amazing
01:57um i think they could play better because they they found ways to win they've been sloppy in some
02:03of these games and uh they just had you know scoring up and down a lineup from all four lines
02:10like you
02:10look at last night you know you have uh the fourth line uh you know scoring a big goal and
02:17their first
02:17three shifts kind of set the tone for them and and and then up and through that lineup everybody's
02:23been doing a great job and but at times we all look they've been they could be cleaner if they
02:29clean up their game i looked at the vegas game on tuesday that was a solid game they played a
02:34great
02:34team vegas is very good that's how they're going to kind of play they it was a pretty clean game
02:39for
02:39them um but the expectations uh for this year have gone up because of their start ray pasta's 45 points
02:48away from a thousand of his career do you think he gets there this season and and what does a
02:52milestone like that do for the captain for sure i think he gets there you look at his last four
02:58season i think he's had over 100 points so he's on track for doing that again this year um you
03:05know
03:05thousand is only going to be one milestone he's got many more to come uh and and by the end
03:11of it
03:11uh i think you might be looking at a really good chance of him leading the uh the the franchise
03:18and
03:19and in history of top score if he uh he keeps on this pace he's definitely going to get there
03:26ray yesterday judd surat on this show was somewhat offended when i asked about the defense week
03:31wiggy's always talking about the trade deadlines months before they happen so that came up and i
03:37was talking about geez i might like to see him go after somebody uh when it comes to the blue
03:42line
03:43and i said i asked judd about it and i said minus you know the the uh the number one
03:50pairing and
03:51lindholm and and mcavoy um that i feel like those guys have struggled uh below that in in uh in
03:58some
03:59areas and uh judd was rather offended by that but but this team does rank 26th in the league when
04:07it
04:07comes to high danger chances against and 23rd when it comes to expected goals against so and i think
04:15they've been saved a little bit here and there by the great play of jeremy swayman uh uh uh agree
04:22or
04:22you think i'm an idiot and di pietro i mean he just won his fourth his fourth consecutive win last
04:30night he's done a great job no i think um you know i think they're okay back there i do
04:37think they could
04:37play better and i think uh it's not only the defense i think as a team as a unit they
04:43could play better
04:44um defensively and i think that's how it has to happen i think on d they're okay um okay you
04:51know they
04:51might they might they might add something at the end no i could i think they could be above the
04:57average uh on defense um but um i think again if i look at the game against vegas um you
05:05could look
05:05at that game and break it down and i think you'll come up with some really good numbers that i
05:10think
05:10that's where they want to get to as a team to play that way um and and to be able
05:15to win these two one
05:16games because you know scoring so far for them hasn't been a problem but at at some point in time
05:22it's it always hits you that you go through moments or streaks that you know you're really having a hard
05:28time to uh to score goals and you're going to have to grind out games two one three two and
05:34there's
05:34probably a lot of those games coming up especially if you look at their division and um they've only
05:40played one divisional game so far against ottawa and they've got some coming up this month and thank you
05:46you know they're they're at home now for just one road game left this month it's in detroit but
05:51other than that they're at home but there's some tough teams coming in this month so i think this
05:57month will be a really good test for for them uh not only going against good teams in their own
06:03division but in the league as well right you've been around a lot of hockey and when you start to
06:09look at players players obviously have confidence they feel like they can play against anybody
06:13on any night and be the best team in the league but when you start to look at front office
06:19and you
06:20start to look at gm and as they start to look at a team when do you believe that like
06:26guys like uh
06:28sweeney or nearly and look at this team and go okay we really can win the stanley cup this year
06:40um you know i think if you look at the bruins i think they're going to be a solid playoff
06:46a solid
06:47playoff team if you're looking at the cream of the crop in the nhl do you think they're there um
06:53not
06:54yet um if this team keeps growing and the young guys keep playing the way they do uh and keep
07:02growing
07:03in the course of the season they they might become uh one of these contending teams that you might
07:08look at as having an opportunity but you know the nhl uh you've had teams that have snuck in finishing
07:15eighth in their conference and and like la kings and end up winning the cup or getting to the finals
07:21so
07:21you just want to get in and give yourself an opportunity and the trading deadline is always a
07:26critical place where you know that's where the gm's and and and um management really uh they have
07:35to you know that's that's when their their jobs really come into play to try to improve their team
07:40and try to give the players uh you know a little boost and and kind of reward them for how
07:46they've
07:46played all year so far and you and you believe in this group so i think around the trading deadline
07:52is
07:52pretty much how they're thinking about the team and if we have to add and really try to make a
07:57push
07:57here that's when it comes into play ray bork from florida this morning what time is the tea time

08:22when you think about the top you know 10 five greatest hockey players all time he's definitely
08:29top 10 i think he might be top five player and the last two decades he's been my favorite player
08:36he's
08:36been so consistent um he's just a bulldog he is so talented in all areas of the ice and and
08:43just a
08:43leader and how he goes about his business uh you know every day um that that guy brings it every
08:51single practice games and you've got to be so much fun to be around uh one of my favorite players
