00:00The great Rob Bradford on with us after the World Series is now done and over and
00:06the victors are talking trash on the Yankees which was kind of fun to hear last night being
00:10picked up on the mics. That was spicy. That was that was kind of fantastic to be quite honest.
00:15You think so there Ron? Oh of course man I was that was that was Pat Murphy getting caught like
00:20not caught he doesn't care I mean 67 what's he care so it's like no he's great so I I
00:26loved
00:27I love like those celebrations I love the whole thing I listen I mean the whole World Series is is
00:33is just so awesome the playoffs are so awesome and I know we're going to talk about it you try
00:38to sort
00:38of bottle it and say what are you guys doing like what are you guys doing owner and I do
00:44want to say
00:45this Ted you also have never looked better your traps look outstanding I don't know if you were
00:50doing upright rows like all day long and Ken that shirt you're wearing the EI shirt it
00:56compliments you so well so yeah sure well now that we've all been glazed I don't know I can't
01:03take compliments very well so thank you if I if I if I was very specific in your traps so
01:09it's like
01:09yeah yeah yeah thank you I've been doing some power cleans you know okay all right
01:14enough of these shenanigans what is that uh Jackson? Stiz he's been working out too I don't I don't hear
01:20any compliments from I can't see Stiz so I mean yeah that's a good thing um okay it doesn't matter
01:25if you can see them you've got to say that stuff anyway well then it wouldn't be insincere for the
01:30next time Stiz always Stiz is just looking to maintain he can't get any better so all right uh
01:36Sonny Gray what are you hearing because the season ended and it sure sounded like he wanted to get the
01:41hell out of here um any kind of forward movement on that what are you hearing I mean this you're
01:47not
01:47going to hear anything for a little bit it'll it will be a ton of stuff in November because of
01:52the
01:52deadline because of the lockout uh Sonny Gray will be interesting one last time they had a lockout
01:58there were some big deals that get done the Red Sox did a bunch of deals uh they got James
02:04Pax in
02:04it like the last minute there but there were much much bigger deals than that Sonny Gray we know he
02:09wants to play we know that he probably only wants to play a certain few places I do believe the
02:15Red
02:15Red Sox or the Boston is one of the places that he still would play but if he gets a
02:20significant
02:21offer for a place like Atlanta you know that would be tough to turn down and listen I mean this
02:26is
02:26he earned this right he he earned the right for a much better deal than anybody thought he was going
02:32to get so he should take advantage of it I just do know this is that with Sonny Gray he's
02:38only going
02:38to go to places that he wants to play but I do think despite what he said after the year
02:42after the
02:43last game that Boston is still a place that he'd come back all right Brad Foe assuming that the
02:48uh the lockout is is not going to completely destroy next season uh who should the Red Sox
02:55prioritize in the free agent market this year well first of all they've already they've already been
03:01the most active team in the entire offseason so already they just traded Nate Eaton to the A's
03:07so uh goodbye Nate Eaton the Nate Eaton era is over and uh yeah sorry disappoint but you know
03:15they're clearing 40 man spots they they did trade him for an 18 year old pitcher Ken you can pretend
03:19like you know of okay of course so yeah so don't ask me his name um but I think that
03:26Ted to come back
03:27to the free agency thing I think it's going to be more of a trade thing than a free agency
03:31thing with
03:31this team because because they have to figure out we talk about the pieces fitting so well for the
03:38Brewers and the Rays what the the pieces didn't fit well like the pieces didn't fit well for a long
03:43time for the Red Sox and and right now they still aren't fitting that great you have Franklin Arias
03:48coming up your Trevor Story still playing short you have Curtis Meade at second base you have
03:53Jaron Duran you don't know what you're going to do with him you have Masa Yoshida so you have to
03:58have a roster that fits a whole lot better and and as you're I'm talking through it with this roster
04:04it's only leading to me to to agree with myself when I look at the Rays and the Brewers I
04:09mean there
04:09is no semblance of those pieces not fitting so they have to do a better job of trading for the
04:15right guys
04:16maybe clearing some of this salary but it's a terrible free agency class the only name that I would
04:22really keep an eye on is Mick Martinez I mean there's more names listen they every move that he's
04:28made in the last two off seasons throughout the flurry of missed reporting and everybody trying
04:34to beat play reporter none of the deals none of the deals have been reported almost ahead of time
04:40so they do a good job of keeping things in in house but I will say this one for me
04:46one name is
04:47Nick Martinez right-handed pitcher obviously really good for the right Rays and also if Sonny Gray leaves
04:52you're probably going to need a guy like that all right give me your odds your Bradford Thomas that
04:56Cora manages the Phillies next year next year 50% wow wow I mean I don't think you have you
05:06have
05:06Pete Fatsy who who's now there and you also have Joe Cronin who was the assistant hitting coach
05:12also hired there you're getting the band back together all you need is a lead singer
05:16and so it makes a lot of sense um you know I Don Mattingly probably doesn't want to hear that
05:24but it makes a lot of sense I don't know I've certainly haven't heard anything like that from
05:28Cora I don't know that that's just putting the pieces together but you've already got those two
05:34guys back they're already two-thirds of the the Alex Cora running club so now you just need the last
05:40piece of the equation all right well Rob Bradford our time is unfortunately run out uh we have uh we
05:47enjoy now what do you do in the off season as I do want to know that I mean well
05:50I do a podcast
05:51every day I know but I mean like he's going to Vegas for the GM meetings yeah Vegas GM meetings
05:56how about this the uh Excalibur 50 bucks a night nice yeah you're getting that you're getting ripped
06:03off yeah I mean it costs more to go to Starbucks in the lobby unfortunately but still you know dude
06:09that is that is a buy one get bed bugs free dude the Excalibur was it back in 1985 man
06:15that wasn't
06:16great thank you Ted yeah yeah back in 1985 and plus is it isn't don't you just go there and
06:24gamble
06:24and win money and it's like free money so everything's paid for anyway obviously it's a very good
06:29marketing department that has sold you on that all right well uh Rob Bradford great stuff we will
06:33check in with you obviously and uh thanks for the compliments you perked up my day
06:38all look fantastic all right I'll see you guys
