Delhi has been placed under heavy security deployment ahead of a planned protest call at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Over 20,000 personnel, including the Border Security Force, have been deployed across the national capital. Internet services have been suspended within a four-kilometre radius of Jantar Mantar. Authorities have closed 57 metro stations on routes leading to the site, and inbound express trains from other states have been cancelled between 4 AM and 2 PM. The Union Home Secretary has directed states that the planned demonstration lacks permission and must not be allowed to proceed.
