Congress student wing National Students' Union of India staged a symbolic protest along Raisina Road towards Jantar Mantar in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Protesters lay down on the road representing corpses to signify what they termed the death of democracy, raising concerns over voter deletions by the Election Commission. NSUI members carried placards targeting the Chief Election Commissioner and the Bharatiya Janata Party government. The administration set up multi-layer barricading near Kerala House and deployed Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel to halt the march towards Jantar Mantar.
