00:00In this video, I will show you how to give admin access to YouTube channel.
00:05To get started, what you want to do is head over to youtube.com.
00:09And once you've done that, make sure that you're logged into the correct account
00:12that you want to give admin access to.
00:15Once you've done that, click onto your YouTube profile icon in the top right hand corner.
00:19And from this menu that comes up, you want to come down and click onto settings.
00:23Now, what that's going to do is take you across to your settings.
00:26And from this page, you want to look for the channel status and features section,
00:31which is going to be under your YouTube channel.
00:33So it's this thing here, give it a click.
00:35And that's going to take you to a screen like this and open your settings.
00:39Now, once you've done that, come over to the menu on the left and click onto permissions.
00:43And this way you can see all the sort of channel managers and admins for your YouTube channel.
00:48So you can see in this case, I've just got myself as the owner.
00:51But if you want to invite and give someone admin access,
00:53just come up and click the invite button in the top right hand corner.
00:57And then what you can do is enter the email of the person that you want to give admin access
01:01to.
01:02Once you've done that, click onto the access box.
01:04And from here, you can choose the kind of permissions you want to give.
01:07So you can see we've got different permissions like manager, editor, subtitle, editor, viewer,
01:12and you can see all the kind of permissions they get underneath each category as well.
01:16So for example, an editor can view everything, go live and create and edit content,
01:21but they can't manage permissions or delete content.
01:24Of course, if you assign the manager access, they're going to have some more permissions,
01:28including the option to delete content.
01:30So what you want to do is basically go through and find the most appropriate permission to use.
01:35Once you've done that, click onto done.
01:37And as you can see, it says pending invitation.
01:40So what's going to happen now is that person's now going to have to check their email
01:43and just accept the invite that they would have received.
01:46Once they've accepted the invitation, they will then have that assigned role to your YouTube channel.
01:52So that's how to give someone admin access to YouTube channel.
