00:00In this video, I will show you how to change your YouTube channel link.

00:04So I'll be showing you how to change your YouTube channel URL

00:07by updating your channel handle, giving your channel a new and easier to share link.

00:23Now to do this, what you want to do is come across to YouTube

00:26and make sure that you're logged into the account

00:28that you want to change your channel link for.

00:30Once you've done that, come and click onto your YouTube profile icon

00:34up in the top right-hand corner.

00:35And from this menu that comes up, you want to come and click onto YouTube studio.

00:40Once you're in your studio, come over to the menu on the left-hand side

00:43and click onto customization.

00:45And then what you want to do is come up to the top

00:47and make sure that you're clicked onto profile.

00:50Once you've done that, just scroll down on your profile page

00:52to the handle section.

00:55So as you can see, it says your handle is a unique ad name

00:58that helps people find your channel different from your channel name.

01:01You can see a preview of your current channel URL link underneath.

01:06But what you can do is of course, change your handle

01:08to a whatever you want your channel link to be.

01:11For example, something like this.

01:13If it is available, it's going to give a tick.

01:15If not, you're going to see a exclamation mark,

01:18which says handle not available.

01:20So you can add some numbers in afterwards

01:22and you can see this one's available

01:24and you can see this is going to be our channel link underneath.

01:27So once you're happy with this, come up to the top right,

01:30make sure to click onto publish to save your changes.

01:33Just a quick note as well,

01:34you can change your handle twice within a 14 day period

01:37and your previous handle is held for 14 days

01:40in case you did want to switch back to your previous handle.

01:43So that's how to change your YouTube channel link.
