00:00In this video, I will show you how to pin a video to the top of your YouTube channel.
00:05So I'll be showing you how to feature a video at the top of your YouTube channel
00:09so visitors can easily find and watch it.

00:22To do this, as you can see, we're currently here on YouTube.
00:25So what you want to do is come across to YouTube,
00:27log into your account.
00:29Once you've done that, come up to the top right hand corner
00:32and click onto your YouTube profile icon.
00:35From here, what you want to do is click onto the view your channel link,
00:38which is going to take you across to your YouTube channel.
00:41Now you can see on this channel, I don't have a pinned videos.
00:44You can see I've got my videos here,
00:46but you can see if we click onto the three dots on one of these videos,
00:48there's no option to actually pin any of these videos.
00:52So to do this, what you want to do from this page is
00:54if you come and click onto customize channel,
00:57so the button just here, what that's going to do is take you into your YouTube studio.
01:02From here, what you want to do is come over to the menu on the left
01:04and make sure that you're clicked onto customization.
01:07And once you've done that, you want to come up to the top of the customization page
01:10and click onto home tab.
01:12Now you can see here, this is where you can actually edit your homepage for your channel.
01:17What we're going to do here is come to the layout section
01:19and click the add section button just over here.
01:22Now what you need to do is actually select the channel trailer option.
01:26And what you can then do is select a video, which you want to pin to the top of your
01:31YouTube channel.
01:32So I'm just going to select this one here.
01:34And as you can see, it says channel trailer for people who haven't subscribed.
01:37You can see that's here.
01:38What you then want to do is come up to the top, right?
01:41Click onto the publish button, save your changes.
01:43And you'll now see if we click onto view channel that when we come across to our channel page,
01:48we now have this pin video at the top.
01:51Now with this, you might've noticed it says channel trailer for people who haven't subscribed.
01:55This is going to be a pin video for people that haven't subscribed to your channel.
02:00If you want to add this so that your subscribers also see the pin video,
02:04then what you want to do is come back to the channel customization page,
02:07click onto add section.
02:09And this time you want to select spotlight.
02:12Again, what you can do is choose the pin video.
02:14So I'm going to select this one and you can see it says featured video for returning subscribers,
02:19which means this video will now be pinned at the top of your YouTube channel page for returning
02:24subscribers.
02:25Of course, make sure again to click onto publish to save your changes.
02:29And that's going to pin the video at the top of your YouTube channel page.
