00:01Two Form 4 students were charged in the Kuala Pilah Magistrates' Court today
00:05with murdering a Form 2 student at a school hostel last month.

00:13after the charges were read before Judge Roslinda Razali
00:17as murder falls under the High Court's jurisdiction.
00:20They are accused of murdering Idlan Farik Shahril
00:23between 7.30pm and 8.50pm on September 25th at the boys' hostel.
00:29The charges were framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code
00:33which carries the death penalty or 30-40 years imprisonment and whipping.
00:37The proceedings were held behind closed doors as both accused are minors.
00:43Their lawyer, Hanef Hassan, said the court fixed December 7th for mention.
00:47He said the defence had also applied for both boys to be sent to a correctional centre
00:52pending counselling by the Social Welfare Department under the Child Act 2001.
