The 2027 fiscal package is set to be read in Parliament next Monday. With that in mind we hit the streets of Port of Spain to find out what you the public want to see in the upcoming budget. Here's what you had to say.

00:22getting jobs people need jobs right now you understand me i lost that i needed a little
00:27jobs and sometimes you know if in our past or certain things it's really kind of hard out here
00:35and right now we need jobs we need good you know what the government should do to let out jobs

00:41people i used to work on the clothes on our jobs and i used to love what i'm doing bushes

00:48the place high high high you understand me people could do anything and cut the bushes have it low
00:55you understand and have the place clean and that is what we need love unity good jobs and food prices
01:03everything you know we have to eat is a must like because i live in groceries and things in the
01:08grocery
01:09it's not supposed to be so high when i raise anything you're not supposed to raise them things at least
01:12food stuff nobody shouldn't go hungry yeah that's my view i would like to see better opportunities for
01:19assistance with regards to special needs children i'm a single mother so stuff that will help i don't
01:27not that much into politics but i believe that since the new thing passed a lot of younger
01:36people would not be able to have jobs within years that they would have commonly have jobs in
01:40so if jobs could be if jobs could be more readily available for them like me as now coming out

01:49secondary school it's important for me to have someone that could supply my education now that i'm
01:54going into uni and other stuff like that so that's where i want to that's where we want to see
02:00honestly minimum wage should go up the food prices in groceries and stores and things very inconvenient
02:11you could really lessen down some of that because it's very hard in the country here it have a lot

02:18single parents out here that's really looking forward to you know a little dropage in the prices and
02:27things so you know yeah i'd really like to see that because minimum wage not going up things getting
02:33hard harder and harder you understand so i really really really really would like other things coming up on this
