00:00I want to start it off in Baltimore.
00:01Here we go again.
00:02Another year where we're going to miss a little bit of time here.
00:07Maybe the entire season.
00:08I saw that hand injury.
00:10It was like the first play of the game against the Bills.
00:13Lamar Jackson lost for the year.
00:15Do you believe that the Ravens go out in the market getting closer to the
00:20trading deadline and potentially make a move?
00:22And your thoughts again on Lamar getting injured?
00:25Yeah, I think obviously all the best to Lamar.
00:28That looked like an ugly injury.
00:30Anytime you have a quarterback who's injured on a follow through,
00:33whether it's a hand on a defender, a helmet, it can be pretty ugly.
00:36And he was holding that right throwing hand, throwing thumb pretty hard.
00:40It was in a cast at the end of the game.
00:42So it certainly doesn't look good for him.
00:44And as far as what the Ravens are going to do moving forward,
00:46I think if Tyler Huntley were healthy, they'd probably just say,
00:49let's see what Huntley can do for us.
00:51They've had some success with them as a backup quarterback, not high-end success,
00:55but with him dealing with a turf toe injury and, you know,
00:58the uncertain future with him now,
01:00and you're looking at starting on this Thursday night game,
01:03Joe Finiano, an undrafted rookie who played collegiately at Maine and UConn.
01:07So, you know, in my neck of the woods,
01:08we don't get a lot of quarterback prospects up here.
01:11But, you know, I'm looking at it from the Ravens' perspective,
01:14and I'm saying if I'm general manager Eric DaCosta,
01:17and I think that this team can make a run in the playoffs,
01:19I'm going to try to make a move for some sort of stopgap veteran quarterback,
01:24whether it's a Jacoby Brissett type from the Arizona Cardinals who
01:27benched him this past week and Gardner Minshew led them to a big comeback,
01:30or if they could somehow get Kirk Cousins away from the Raiders.
01:34And I don't think that that's necessarily likely because the Raiders are four
01:37and four in the playoff race,
01:39but Cousins would be the kind of guy that if you're the Ravens,
01:42you're saying maybe if we overpay for him a little bit,
01:44maybe he could get us on a deep playoff run with how he's playing.
01:47That would be the kind of deals I'm looking at for the Ravens,
01:50but more likely I think they'll probably look at some of those lower cost
01:53veterans like Jacoby Brissett who can just kind of hold the fort until either
01:56Huntley gets healthy or they just get through the season.
02:00You know, the Buffalo Bills,
02:02they end up winning that game 36 to 10 over the Ravens.
02:05You tell me,
02:06do you think that the Bills defense is good enough and can Josh Allen cover
02:13for that defense?
02:14They had a great performance against the Ravens,
02:16but again, like you said,
02:18the Ravens really had no threat at the quarterback position in a championship
02:21setting.
02:22You think Buffalo is good enough on that side of the football to win an AFC
02:26championship?
02:28I think it's a tough ask for them right now.
02:31We're still waiting to see Jim Leonard's defense take full effect.
02:34I think they're better against the run this year than they've been in years
02:36past.
02:37I like their defensive line.
02:39Greg Russo and Dion Walker are just two mammoth,
02:42like massive guys up there.
02:44One at defensive tackle,
02:45one on the end.
02:45And so I like what they have there,
02:46but they just haven't been consistent in coverage.
02:48So I think it's going to be another situation,
02:51another year where we're looking at Buffalo and we're saying this team will go
02:54as far as Josh Allen can carry it.
02:56And as we saw against the Ravens,
02:58you know,
02:58they won that game big,
02:59but it was close for a while there.
03:01It really took them until late in the game to get going.
03:04And that was against the third string quarterback,
03:06Joe Fignano for most of the game.
03:08So I do have some concerns about the bills and how they'll hold up against some of
03:12these better offenses,
03:13but also looking at the top teams around the AFC,
03:17you know,
03:17like the Denver Broncos,
03:19like,
03:19I don't think they have the most threatening offense in the world.
03:21The Kansas city chiefs could,
03:23but you know,
03:23they're going to have to add some talent at receiver to really be able to put
03:27together a big threat.
03:28Cause right now they're too reliant on Kenneth Walker.
03:30So I think the bills can get it done,
03:32but certainly that defense could end up being their kryptonite.
03:35And I still have concerns about it.
03:36And that's entering week nine at this point.
03:38So,
03:38you know,
03:39things should be getting better at this point.
03:41And they aren't quite there yet.
