00:00You might be seeing more color than you might expect, given how the weather's been recently.
00:05It's feeling like fall and maybe even heading towards winter the next morning or two, though.
00:10Take a look at our overnight lows tonight.
00:11And I went ahead and put the historical average on here just to give you some context of where are
00:16we typically this time of year.
00:17Is what we're seeing tonight normal, so to speak?
00:20Well, we're in the ballpark just about everywhere.
00:23I mean, Burlington within six degrees of your historical average for your low.
00:27But the point is we're getting to the 40s, even the 30s in some areas, which puts us into frost
00:34and freeze territory.
00:35Now, some of you woke up this morning to a little bit of frost, maybe a freeze.
00:39We're spreading out.
00:41More of us have that risk as we head into tomorrow morning.
00:44So take a look at the map.
00:46If you're highlighted in pink, you want to be ready.
00:49You'll definitely need the jacket first thing in the morning on the way to school or work.
00:53But also, any plants that you might have outside and you want to make sure they survive any frost or
00:57freeze, now's the time.
00:59Cover them up, bring them inside, and probably just keep them that way unless you really need to bring them
01:05in and out, in and out,
01:06because we're going to have more of these over the next several weeks.
01:08As we look at our Tuesday as a whole, feeling like fall, that's for sure.
01:12I mean, even Richmond, D.C., we're in the upper 60s, 62 in Boston, upper 50s for Buffalo, even a
01:19little bit cooler as we head further to the north.
01:21And a couple hints of blue here where we're in the 30s.
01:24It's highest elevations, and it's not very widespread, but it's that time of year.
01:29We're getting there little by little.
01:31Now, if you were not a fan of some of the rain that we had recently, I have great news
01:35for you.
01:36We're staying dry as we go through, really, the week as a whole.
01:40Now, you'll notice this doesn't stretch all the way through all of the northeast, so, of course, there's some exceptions
01:47to the rules.
01:48Let's take a look at future radar, but I don't think you're going to hate what you see.
01:53Take a look.
01:53So, as we go through our Tuesday, we stay dry, a few clouds here and there, but you know what?
01:56We can handle that.
01:57It's fall, after all.
01:59Wednesday, we start to see a little bit of action sprinkling in here, but this is what I mean when
02:03I said,
02:03I don't think you're going to hate it.
02:06It's just a little bit, just enough to be annoying.
02:08Grab the rain jacket, grab the umbrella if you want on the way out the door so you're not caught
02:12off guard with a few raindrops coming down,
02:14but it's not going to be anything high impact.
02:16Even if you have outdoor activities going on, it shouldn't get too much in the way and shouldn't be too,
02:22too annoying.
02:22It should be pretty short-lived.
02:24We do a little bit more as we head into Thursday, and we do have some pockets of heavier rain
02:28into upstate New York here,
02:29so something to keep in mind, but very early, first thing in the morning.
02:32It takes some time to get out of here, though, so Thursday definitely the worst day for outdoor activities if
02:39we're going to pick a worst day.
02:41It's hard to really categorize them this week because it's not too, too bad.
02:45We look at the next couple of days in D.C.
02:47We do start to warm back up.
02:48We'll get a little hint of 80 degrees above our historical average, maybe feeling a little bit more like summer,
02:53but then we even back out by the time we get to the weekend, and a very seasonal weekend will
02:58be ahead.
