00:00Hey guys, it's Taylor and today I want to talk about divorce. So divorce now is
00:06pretty common. Nearly 50% of people who get married end up getting divorced and
00:10that's kind of kind of sad and sometimes it seems like people are giving up too
00:15easy. However just because people split up doesn't mean they haven't done
00:18everything in their power to try to keep that relationship going. Ultimately when
00:22you're dating people you try to find that one person that you can start a
00:26life with and start a family with and sometimes the person we marry isn't the
00:30right one for us and unfortunately we don't realize that until after the
00:34papers are signed. Divorce is always a last resort and that's what I believe
00:37completely. My parents got divorced roughly a year ago and growing up my
00:42entire life I was so afraid I was like oh my gosh I'm gonna be that other kid in
00:45class who has divorced parents but it's not as bad as I anticipated. Some people
00:50are just better apart and my parents did all they could in their power to make
00:54their relationship work and after 20 years it just seemed like it was time
00:57to stop. Divorce is not giving up although sometimes I think people do
01:01jump to it too quickly before trying to fix their relationship that doesn't
01:05matter because it has nothing to do with me. I'm not in that situation to fight
01:08for it and that's no one else's business either. It's between those two
01:11people and it's okay if they decide you know what this isn't working we can break
01:16this off and both be happier. I don't think anyone should get involved with
01:19someone else getting divorced because they don't know what they've been
01:22through. They could have been through some tough times and you just don't have
01:25any idea until you've walked in their shoes. Instead of jumping on them and
01:28saying that they're doing it too quickly or they didn't try hard enough just be
01:32there for them. You know that's that's a tough that's really tough is watching
01:37someone go through such a hard time like that. Divorce is no easy walk in the
01:40park. So that's just my take on divorce and let us know in the comments what
01:45your take on it is. You know have you been through a divorce? Are your parents
01:47divorced? Are your parents going through a divorce? And remember that we're we're a
01:52community and we're like a family so someone has an opinion opposite of
01:56yours there's no need to attack them for it. Instead just discuss it you know
02:00that's fun debating and talking about why we have these different thoughts
02:04because that's that's what this community is about. Thank you guys so much for
02:07watching and if you are dealing with the divorce let us know because I really I
02:11do want to help anybody I can because that that was a tough time you know it
02:15wasn't as bad as I anticipated it would be however it was still tough to watch my
02:19parents get divorced because that's that's your family and it feels like
02:22you're falling apart. Let us know. Alright well I hope you guys enjoyed this
02:25video. Thanks so much for watching. Make sure to check out compassion and peace
02:28peace.org and I'll see you guys next time. Bye!
02:59Bye!
