00:02Today we're going to be talking about purpose.
00:03I know that sounds exciting.
00:06Purpose, whoop-dee-doo.
00:07Purpose is a huge part of life.
00:09I mean, without purpose, people feel like they don't want to live anymore.
00:12So it's important to have a sense of purpose.
00:14And in having a sense of purpose, and trying to find a sense of purpose,
00:17people usually end up getting lost and feeling insecure.
00:19And I think that a common problem is that lots of people trying to find their purpose
00:23based on how successful they've become, that's not anywhere close to the truth.
00:26You can make money, you can have a huge house, a nice car, video games, frogs,
00:32Pokemon cards, guitars, whatever you want that you can touch and you can have.
00:36But I think that our true purpose as a human isn't defined by what we own while we're alive,
00:41but what we leave behind when we die.
00:43For instance, how you impacted somebody's life.
00:45Or how you changed the world in any kind of way whatsoever, big or small.
00:49You aren't your clothes, you aren't your car, you aren't your money.
00:53You are exactly what you do in your life and what you leave behind.
00:55So don't feel purposeless because you don't have something that everybody else has.
00:59Because at the end of the day, the sad truth is everybody is eventually going to pass on,
01:04and iPad 3 is not going to mean anything.
01:06But what's going to mean something is something that you left behind.
01:08The way you love somebody, the way you help somebody.
01:10There's so many things that you can do that can help you define a true purpose.
01:13So don't let people in the world bring you down because you don't have gimmicks and gadgets
01:17and toys and whatever, Pokemon cards, because everybody else does and you want it.
01:22So just don't be defined by what you own, but define yourself based on what you do.
01:27And your shiny Pokemon cards too. That's okay. That's okay under my book.
01:32Mm-hmm. Well, I mean that's all I got to say on purpose. I think, yeah?
01:37Yeah, I mean that's how I feel about purpose.
