00:40two quarters were abysmal last week. It was all time bad. It was, I did think there was a pile

00:46that happened that wouldn't have happened if it wasn't him. So he's earned that, right? Like we,
00:51we talked about that. Nobody's feeling bad for him, but I just got to give credit where credit's due.
00:56He was terrific under pressure, all his under pressure numbers yesterday. And, and he was
01:02pinpoint with basically a free guy in his face, a lot of the first half. Um, and that was part
01:09of,
01:09I think the Tampa Bay plan. And I think that was also part of the Cleveland Browns plan. I mean,
01:15a lot of people talked about, Hey guys, the, the, the, the depth of target, right? Like he wasn't
01:21going down the field. I don't think he could have, I think part of the game plan was for him
01:25to be
01:26able to hit, you know, whether it was Harold Fannin underneath, um, Judkins a couple of times
01:32as a release valve. Yeah. I know, even though he may, may not have gotten the ball out as fast
01:36as you would have liked. I think there was a lot of that as part of the plan to deal
01:41with some of
01:41those Todd Bowles pressures yesterday. And so you got to take what they're giving you. You can't,
01:46you can't just do what Baker was doing, which is, Hey, I'm going to take a lot of deep shots.
01:50Let's just see how it works. All right. Well, you lose the football game. Like you can keep
01:54taking those shots all day. And yes, they had a ball on Hearst, which was a, was a dime in
01:58the
01:58end zone that would have, would have been a go ahead game winner most likely, but they didn't
02:03connect on those and ain't connect on them all day. Basically. I'm glad you brought that up.

02:11like, you had three or four deep balls in two possessions. Then they finally connected on one,
02:18but I'm going, what are they seeing? Like, I know that somebody brought up inverted cover too.

02:25just, they're just roasting it out there. And I go, they gotta be seeing something. He can't
02:30just be taking shots, not trying to run an offense. So what are they seeing there? And
02:34the interception was just missing on the interception was right in the zone. And, and, uh, you know,
02:39he read it. I mean, he read it completely, basically threw the ball right to him. Yeah. And
02:42that would have been a tough throw anyway, because you know, there was, there was kind of
02:46tightening up. Um, I think he, he targeted Campbell. Was it, um, over there on the,
02:52no, it was, um, miles Harden Hart. Oh, okay. Yeah. Well, no, but where who had to pick?
02:58Well, yeah. Where he was looking though. I didn't think there was Campbell got hurt too.

03:06so, but I think they were converging on him anyway. So wasn't going to be there. I think,
03:10I think Baker was just, just trying. I think they played a ton of zone last week. Right.
03:15And I think they got to, they didn't get away from it, but they did less of it this week.

03:21and it got back to more of what the secondary strength was with under Jim Schwartz. Yeah.
03:27And Baker even said in the post game, he was like, well, we were expecting zone stuff. So
03:31I think, you know, the Browns adjusted, actually did some adjustment. He might've been confused
03:39because there were still some plays that they, they showed the wide angle on yesterday and haven't
03:42been over the all 22, but there was definitely a lot still zone. Yeah.
03:46Like when you, when you got guys, you know, one by one, like, okay, that could, that could
03:50throw some people off there. It might've been throwing off Baker. They might've expected
03:53to see something different. Uh, but there was so many times three 60 on what they had done
03:58the previous week, but they had also brought heat right up the a gap. Cause honestly, like
04:03when you got a six foot quarterback, when you got a guy who's not that tall, you got to bring
04:09pressure right up the middle. And they did that. I thought that Mason Graham had a good
04:13game. Not just talking about sacks. I mean, I thought he had a good game. You brought
04:17pressure right through there. I didn't mean to do this, but yeah, you, you took the space
04:20away and you hurried them up. I thought it was a good game plan. That's what you do to
04:24Baker. Guys, we should know as good as anybody. Shouldn't we?

04:50care. Like you realize the touchdown where the tight end almost fell down after he caught

05:02part of you guys realized. Yeah. They don't trust Deshaun Watson to be the electric quarterback
05:07that he wasn't Houston. Now this is getting this. See, this is where it's getting effing
05:11ridiculous. And we all just want to be right. That's not it. We all just want to make our
05:16up or make our arguments. And that's it. Like you said, you were getting tweets. You had
05:19to defend me yesterday or something like this. Yeah. About what? Are you going to, are you
05:25going to correct your boy about, about, about Watson? And he was defending the Shador people.
05:30I'm like, I I've been here all week, all month, all year. I don't remember you doing that.
05:35I don't, well, my whole point is if we're going to be bad, I want fans to be as happy
05:38as possible that the other guy, Deshaun Watson didn't make people happy, but if he's going
05:42to go out there and at least play some complimentary football, which he did yesterday, put him
05:46out there. If you, cause I, again, it does, it just affirms to me. And I know people saw
05:51the picture of JW hugging him at the end of the game. So clearly it was an organist.
05:55It was an owner's decision, right? Listen, Todd made the call. You know, Todd made the call.
06:02We've been saying Todd made the call. You don't want to believe you don't want to
06:04believe it. Okay. But if you're going to put them out there, I want them to have the
06:08best chance to play complimentary football. So guys, if we want to sit there and fight
06:12about a dots and things like this, I'm not going to do it. All right. He ran the offense.
06:16He seemed to gain confidence as the game went on. He seemed to even gain confidence when
06:20they were down by two possessions. He was able to gain some confidence. He didn't turtle
06:24up at any point. I have to, I have to specify this. Your offensive line is not fixed.
06:29Okay. Titus Howard had a rough game to say the least. Now I'm not sure what Austin Barber
06:35did altogether. I'd have to go back and look. I know. I believe Spencer Fano had a good game
06:40from what I wrote down. I don't know what he came out in the grade. Of course, everybody
06:44that hates PFF again now, but I thought Spencer Fano had a good game. So your offensive line
06:49isn't totally fixed in one or two weeks of regular season football. That's why I have to come
06:55out and give credit to Deshaun Watson. I don't care about a dot. I don't care about
07:01if we're making arguments about whether or not to bring in a guy in the draft, then we
07:06could start to argue about that. I just needed him to do bare bones. Don't run out. They're
07:10scared. Don't, don't have stupid turnovers. Don't put the ball on the ground, being an idiot,
07:15not protecting the football there, play with some confidence and conduct the offense to try
07:20to give your defense a chance. And that's what he did. And so we should be commended for
07:24that because yeah, I had a really low bar. I can't just go every single week saying
07:29if he doesn't play like an MVP, like he was in 2020, then he's absolute garbage. That's
07:33that's no, I can't do that. We are past those days. I got to take it step by step. And
07:37so
07:38credit where it's due. I thought he played pretty well yesterday and I'm getting no pushback
07:41from tone or no pushback from all because he played pretty well. And you realize like maybe
07:45Tampa, maybe Baker would have, would have had a better day had the depth of target not been,
07:50let's just throw it deep every time. It was weird. Like you guys got to understand
07:54every game is, you know, at times, especially when you're the bronze, don't really have an
07:58identity yet. Right. With this new offensive line right now, unfortunately, the identity
08:02is they can't run the football. I mean, Deshaun Watson has led the team in rushing in both
08:06games. So they're not going to win a lot of football games. If that is the case, cause
08:10it's going to be harder the way that, uh, that the field is going to contract if that's
08:14the case and the walls will close in very quickly on, on the quarterback when you can't
08:19run the football, but they, they showed yesterday an aptitude for knowing who they were yesterday
08:25and operating within the parameters of that as a football team. And so that is a huge step
08:32forward from where they were in week one. They realized what they couldn't do and they
08:36learned from it. That's coaching. And by the way, that's an aptitude of your quarterback,
08:41which I didn't think he'd have much of. That's an aptitude to be able to know what he can do
08:45and know what he can't do. And that's important.
