00:00:02All right, Michael Koenig, take it away.
00:00:04You got it, T-Bob.
00:00:06Come on, dude.
00:00:07Just read the screen.
00:00:08All right, all right, all right.
00:00:09Bills, route the Lions on Thursday night football.
00:00:13The NFC North.
00:00:14Oh, we have David Bakhtiari coming on.
00:00:17We have David Bakhtiari coming on.
00:00:20We have Joe Thomas joining us.
00:00:22We're going into the film room.
00:00:23We got Megan Making Money corner, LSU Ole Miss.
00:00:26Let's go.
00:00:27Happy Friday.
00:00:27Hey, that camera, that camera.
00:00:37Good start for the day.
00:00:38Five's are incredibly high.
00:00:50What's happening, y'all?
00:00:52Welcome, man, to Friday's Wake Up Barstool.
00:00:55T-Bob, A-Bear, Michael Koenig, Tate of Beers.
00:00:58We got Chief here at Megan Making Money.
00:01:01Guys, what's up?
00:01:02The weekend is almost here.
00:01:04How we doing today?
00:01:06Excited to talk to David Bakhtiari today, huh?
00:01:08Yeah.
00:01:08Just learned.
00:01:09Yeah, he's a...
00:01:1030 seconds ago.
00:01:11He just loves beers.
00:01:14Yeah, he does love beers.
00:01:14He does love beers.
00:01:16That's actually pretty good analysis by you, Mikey.
00:01:18And didn't you...
00:01:19That chug-off, right?
00:01:20Didn't you get a jumbotron chug?
00:01:21Me and him have had some jumbotron days, yeah.
00:01:23Close personal friend, David Bakhtiari.
00:01:25Hell yeah, man.
00:01:27So, a lot to get to on today's show.
00:01:29Like I said, Thursday night football starting last night.
00:01:32A game that we thought on paper was going to be very exciting didn't really end up being.
00:01:38So, the Buffalo Bills continue to make statements, guys.
00:01:42Like, Josh Allen is already an NFL MVP.
00:01:47We've already discussed how he has a chance to end up at the NFL's all-time rushing touchdown leader.
00:01:54Like, the point being, Josh Allen should have reached his ceiling in terms of how good he can be.
00:02:00And yet, it appears like, no, he's going to push things even further.
00:02:04It seems like he's on a mission this year.
00:02:06He seems like he's a man on a mission.
00:02:0836 points against an unbelievable defense last week.
00:02:12Another 41 against the Lions.
00:02:14The Lions are a little beat up on defense, but still, they were in control of this game from the
00:02:18very beginning.
00:02:19It's a 10-point game, but it was not even close to a 10-point game.
00:02:23Yeah, no.
00:02:24This offense is humming.
00:02:25They lost DJ Moore midway through the game.
00:02:27It didn't matter.
00:02:28He's finding weapons everywhere.
00:02:30He's running the ball.
00:02:32James Cook looks good.
00:02:33Dalton Kincaid looks wonderful.
00:02:35This offense, man, they're a problem.
00:02:38And wasn't it serendipitous that he scored the first touchdown in the new stadium?
00:02:42Yeah.
00:02:43I mean, there was not a better person that was, you know, more qualified to do that and lay their
00:02:48groundwork there than Josh Allen.
00:02:50Yeah, I mean, he's the modern hero to an entire generation of Buffalonians.
00:02:57And so, yes, him essentially marking his territory in the new high mark.
00:03:02You're right.
00:03:03Narratively, fantastic.
00:03:05I mean, you see the highlights here.
00:03:07Chief, I've got an interesting question that I want to ask you.
00:03:10Because you look.
00:03:12I have been super critical of the Bills hiring process, right?
00:03:17How they go from McDermott to Brady, it felt emotional, it felt reactive.
00:03:21But in the end, they felt like they had a guy in-house that was the guy.
00:03:25And you look around, look at last night.
00:03:28Do you think the Lions wish maybe they had found a way to keep Ben Johnson?
00:03:32Like, look in Tampa, you think the Bucks wish they had found a way to keep Todd Bowles?
00:03:37I mean, hell, even the Ravens.
00:03:39Harbaugh's not there anymore.
00:03:40You think they still want McDonald?
00:03:41Like, maybe there's something to be said for keeping these coordinators and making a really insane choice to get rid
00:03:48of the veteran head coach.
00:03:50Yeah, I feel like the Bears have been through that a few times in their past where it's like, maybe
00:03:55we get Ryan Gase, we move on from our coach a little bit earlier.
00:03:58Or Adam Gase, rather.
00:04:01And it's so hard to make that decision because it's not like McDermott did anything wrong.
00:04:05Like, he's the guy, I think they had a 17-year playoff drought before he got there.
00:04:10But it just felt like maybe they had reached their ceiling with him.
00:04:13You need a new voice, a new message, a bold decision by Pagula and the Bills.
00:04:18And now they're into this new era with the new stadium, and it looks like it's only going up from
00:04:23here.
00:04:24Because Josh Allen is unstoppable.
00:04:25He did whatever he wanted last night.
00:04:27He's outside the pocket, in the pocket, guys hanging all over him.
00:04:30The one play with Hutchinson, it was just a throwaway.
00:04:34But they had him for a sack.
00:04:35Hutchinson's all over him.
00:04:37And he somehow, you're like, is this going to be grounding?
00:04:40He catches it.
00:04:41Like, he throws it to him and he catches it.
00:04:42It's just like the strength, the arm strength, the speed, the power.
00:04:46He has everything you could ever want in a quarterback.
00:04:50And when you have him, you are always going to be a Super Bowl contender.
00:04:54Again, look at this.
00:04:55Josh Allen has played the Texans and the Lions.
00:04:58And is averaging, and on a short week, the Lions, and is averaging over 300 total yards a game
00:05:04and has nine touchdowns.
00:05:06Is Josh Allen Mikey the best quarterback in the NFL?
00:05:09I think without a doubt he is.
00:05:11Not only, like, is he amazing and has great weapons around him,
00:05:15it's just he creates so many plays and opportunities just with his legs.
00:05:20And it's just, he's so fun to watch.
00:05:24And I think, after last night, like, I was watching, like, the offensive line.
00:05:28The Bills' run game with James Cook is unbelievable.
00:05:31Then you watch the Lions and they're down, like, three starters.
00:05:35Yeah.
00:05:35And they just can't get anything going.
00:05:37So, it's like, not only is Josh Allen the best quarterback,
00:05:40I think he has one of the better O-lines in the NFL.
00:05:43And also, his tight end core is unbelievable.
00:05:48Can we talk about Kincaid?
00:05:49Kincaid and Knox.
00:05:50He's having an unbelievable first two games.
00:05:53He has Dawson Knox, and they just, they're red zone demons down there.
00:05:58Yeah, Kincaid's one of those guys that, you know, high draft pick.
00:06:01Last year he was pretty decent, but this year it seems like he's really
00:06:04kind of breaking out a little bit.
00:06:06So, if he can keep that up and be a top five tight end,
00:06:09a weapon like that for Josh Allen, man, that's just a cherry on top.
00:06:13And Dawson Knox is really good, too.
00:06:15It's crazy.
00:06:16It's a strong point by you, Kadic, in that we've talked a lot about
00:06:20kind of the NFL meta right now and how it appears to be shifting, right?
00:06:25Offenses are starting to punch back against defenses,
00:06:27and they're doing it by going under center and getting big.
00:06:32And so, you're telling me the Bills have one of the best offensive lines
00:06:36in the NFL.
00:06:36You're telling me their tight end core is very strong.
00:06:38And then they have a quarterback that is a literal giant
00:06:41and can run as well as he can throw.
00:06:44And you have Joe Brady, who is one of the premier offensive lines
00:06:48over time, and all of a sudden, that is a recipe for perfection
00:06:51in the current state of the 2026 NFL meta.
00:06:56Yeah, the Bills making some immediate statements that they should be
00:06:59potentially the AFC favorites.
00:07:01And even Keon Coleman stepping up last night.
00:07:03So, DJ Moore goes down early with a shoulder, and it's like Keon Coleman,
00:07:06who was much maligned last year.
00:07:09He's looking like he could be a legitimate weapon for them, too,
00:07:12which they need on the outside or a guy over the top.
00:07:14And now it's like they have everything.
00:07:16So, let's flip it to the other side of last night's game, then,
00:07:19because you see the Bills there.
00:07:20Again, just an incredible opening statement from Buffalo.
00:07:24If you're a Buffalo fan, you have to feel on top of the world
00:07:26after how last season ended to how this season has begun.
00:07:30Now, ultimately, your story will be written later on.
00:07:32When you look at the Lions, there's a very obvious starting place, Dana.
00:07:38Has the window closed?
00:07:40We saw our fearless leader, Dave Portnoy, put out a tweet that said it has.
00:07:44And I'm not willing to go there yet.
00:07:47I do think the Bears and the Packers are probably two better teams
00:07:52than the Lions at this point.
00:07:54I don't think their window's closed.
00:07:55I still think, you know, when their offense is humming,
00:07:58they still have, you know, an elite, elite game plan
00:08:02when, you know, they're scoring 35 points a game.
00:08:05Like, they're going to be okay, but I don't know.
00:08:09They've got to get over these injuries.
00:08:10They lost some guys.
00:08:11And if they can get to full strength,
00:08:14I think they still have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl
00:08:17or even be in the NFC Championship.
00:08:19I don't think their window's closed.
00:08:20They had Larry Boreham starting that right tackle last night.
00:08:22He got cut by the Bears.
00:08:24Abysmal.
00:08:24He was awful.
00:08:26Abysmal.
00:08:26Awful.
00:08:27And he came out.
00:08:27Can I say something?
00:08:28He came out with a guardian cap and then took off the guardian cap.
00:08:32You hate a guardian cap.
00:08:34Well, it's not.
00:08:35In game.
00:08:35In game.
00:08:36To Kadek's point, the problem is not wearing the guardian cap.
00:08:41The problem is switching it up as if the guardian cap
00:08:44was affecting your footwork or your hands.
00:08:47Or full starts.
00:08:49Holding all the first half.
00:08:51Like, that's not the problem, right?
00:08:54It kind of reminds me of, like, at Alabama, Ryan Coleman Williams.
00:08:58You know, he's struggling with drops,
00:08:59and yet he's, like, actively not wearing gloves right now
00:09:02because he's in his head.
00:09:03Yeah.
00:09:03If you're switching guardian cap off middle of the game,
00:09:06you're in your head.
00:09:07The Lions, if they could only get healthy,
00:09:09that seems like a constant refrain in Detroit the last couple of years.
00:09:13I think they're still a good NFL team.
00:09:17Yeah.
00:09:17They are no longer a great NFL team.
00:09:19And, Chief, the element of it that is impossible to separate here
00:09:22is the Ben Johnson piece.
00:09:23Yeah.
00:09:24I mean, their offense is still fantastic where it's –
00:09:27you just look at them when they're trying to come back last night.
00:09:30It's Sam Laporte.
00:09:31It's Gibbs.
00:09:32It's St. Brown.
00:09:32They have so many weapons.
00:09:33Jared Goff's still really good.
00:09:35I do think it's the line, but it just always felt like that little bit
00:09:38of an X factor with Ben Johnson where he just had him going,
00:09:41a little bit of the attitude because he's such a psycho out there
00:09:44that I do think that they miss him, but I think the defense is their big problem.
00:09:49Yeah, yeah.
00:09:49Having Ben Johnson in division has got to be tough.
00:09:53Yeah.
00:09:54That's just got to hurt as a Lions fan.
00:09:56I agree.
00:09:56Just cook over in Chicago.
00:09:59Well, and he runs – and granted, the Bears' office line looked really incredible
00:10:02last Sunday, but Ben Johnson is one of those schemers where if he were to have
00:10:08a situation like last night and he's down 3-5 starting offensive lineman,
00:10:11he's going to find some angle to mitigate that damage
00:10:16where I don't feel that Detroit did that last night.
00:10:21However, it doesn't appear that Dan Campbell is as worried as we are.
00:10:26Now we know after two games, we kind of know who we are.
00:10:29We're figuring some stuff out, and we've got about three days here
00:10:31to kind of figure that out before we start getting ready for the Jets
00:10:34as a staff as well.
00:10:36So now we can really digest, all right, here's our two-game snapshot.
00:10:40This is what you are.
00:10:42This says what you are.
00:10:44And we can really deep dive these players.
00:10:47So what do you think they will discover in this three-day deep dive
00:10:51about who the Detroit Lions are this year?
00:10:53Well, I think they've lost kind of their Dan Campbell identity a little bit.
00:10:59They're not biting kneecaps anymore.
00:11:01Yeah, exactly.
00:11:02I think they've lost some of that, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
00:11:07Offense, they're going to get some of the O-linemen back.
00:11:11That's a big problem for them right now.
00:11:14They've got to get that right tackle out of the gate.
00:11:16He's awful.
00:11:17He's creating so many problems.
00:11:19He's just not playing well.
00:11:21They're not a cohesive unit up front right now.
00:11:27Go ahead.
00:11:27Can I say something?
00:11:28Go ahead.
00:11:30Go ahead.
00:11:30Why are we freaking out so much about the Lions?
00:11:34We're going to figure it out.
00:11:35Granted, they won their first game against a tough Saints team.
00:11:38Yeah, that's true.
00:11:39Like, they looked bad last night, but can we slow down a little bit?
00:11:44You are right.
00:11:44We're probably guilty of overreacting.
00:11:46Dan Campbell, he's acting like the world's burning, like they're one and one.
00:11:50Yes, so you are absolutely correct in that we always overreact things at the beginning
00:11:55of the season.
00:11:56It's a long journey.
00:11:57They'll have time.
00:11:59And thank God they managed to win against the Saints because that keeps them afloat.
00:12:03Because they blew that lead late.
00:12:05Yeah.
00:12:05And then they were a two-point conversion away from losing the game.
00:12:08People are just sticking in people's minds.
00:12:10Can I say something?
00:12:11It sounded like he's basically convinced that they're going to get a win over the Jets.
00:12:15Gino looked pretty good last week.
00:12:17Well, coming up next, we're going to play statement or smokescreen where we look at some
00:12:21weak-worn results and say, okay, was this real?
00:12:23Is this team real?
00:12:24Or is that just kind of the nature of the setting?
00:12:26So, we will get into how the Jets looked.
00:12:30Yeah, I think that, again, I don't think the Lions are bad.
00:12:34I think they're good.
00:12:35But I think the reason why we're so down on them is blowing leading the Saints one play
00:12:39away, and then last night, although they made it respectable from a final score standpoint
00:12:44and credit to that offense for continuing to fight when the defense wasn't really given
00:12:49anything, they just had no chance of winning last night.
00:12:52Like, this is, so it's expectations, right, Dana?
00:12:55Like, we thought this was going to be a Super Bowl-caliber team.
00:12:58That's what the Bills are.
00:12:59Yeah.
00:12:59The Lions look like a wild card.
00:13:01That's true.
00:13:01They did, I mean, they did look completely superior last night.
00:13:04But look, we got the Jets, Panthers, and Cardinals.
00:13:06That's true.
00:13:07You could easily see the Lions being 4-1 heading into their bye week.
00:13:11Oh, early bye week.
00:13:12And then the Packers, Vikings, and then Dolphins, and other cupcakes.
00:13:15So, yeah, I get it.
00:13:17Pretty friendly.
00:13:18They looked bad last night.
00:13:19They didn't even look close to a Super Bowl contender like the Bills are.
00:13:23But let's pump the brakes a little bit.
00:13:25I think they could very easily be 4-1 in a couple weeks and be like, oh, the Lions are
00:13:29back.
00:13:30And I know the game was out of reach, but they still scored 31 points.
00:13:33If you score 31 points most weeks, you're going to be fine.
00:13:35Yeah, hopefully that defense, my guy Calvin Shepard, can get it figured out.
00:13:40I feel like the last touchdown, though, I feel like you could almost wipe that away.
00:13:43Because it was just like, the Bills already knew they had the game in the bag.
00:13:46I mean, they were driving down the field.
00:13:48They had to kick the onside kick.
00:13:49Like, was that last touchdown, was the score actually indicative of the way the game was
00:13:53played?
00:13:54I don't believe so.
00:13:55I feel like the Lions got just absolutely murdered.
00:13:57Well, and to be fair, the one time the offense did have the chance, they went 3-0.
00:14:01Like, they were staring down a long field, but they're down 10.
00:14:03You finally get the ball back, eight minutes left, you're thinking, oh, this is how the
00:14:06NFL works.
00:14:06It always, it's a Mario Kart.
00:14:08It always rubber bands, and it's going to be close to the end.
00:14:11And, well, the offense failed in their biggest moment.
00:14:14And happier news, the Bills opened a new stadium last night.
00:14:20That's pretty cool, guys.
00:14:21That looks good.
00:14:22That looks great.
00:14:22That's pretty.
00:14:23Shout out for them not making it a dome.
00:14:25Great fireworks show.
00:14:27I agree.
00:14:28Shout out for them.
00:14:29It's pretty.
00:14:30I mean, it is an interesting element, Chief, where how do you balance kind of the fan experience
00:14:39versus using weather to your advantage, you know?
00:14:44I mean, we see this in sports, right?
00:14:46And we get to the baby bison, which is absolutely adorable.
00:14:49Bruce, I love Bruce to death.
00:14:50I would take a bullet for Bruce.
00:14:53But, like, last week, Ohio State has to go to Texas.
00:14:56They crumbled into Texas.
00:14:58During the Tom Brady dynasty, so much of their advantage in those home playoff games
00:15:05for people having to go to the, I am the storm, like Brady used to say.
00:15:09And with the Bears maybe abandoning their outdoor roots, you like the Bills.
00:15:14I like the Bills.
00:15:15And with the fan experience, it kind of has that soccer feel where the roof overhang is
00:15:19kind of protecting the fans from the elements so you're not going to get wet.
00:15:23But you're going to be cold.
00:15:24And that's, like, part of the charm of going to Lambeau.
00:15:28I've been to Lambeau Field before when it was negative five at kickoff.
00:15:31And you're just like, all right, everyone's in hunting gear.
00:15:34And it's like, let's just try our best.
00:15:35We'll have a few shots of something and warm ourselves internally.
00:15:39And that's, like, part of the experience.
00:15:42And you walk out of there and you're miserable, but you're happy.
00:15:45And, like, that Buffalo, I feel like they nailed it.
00:15:48They're not losing their identity.
00:15:49Also, they didn't go to Canada.
00:15:53That too.
00:15:54Y'all are going to Canada.
00:15:55Yeah.
00:15:55All right, statement or smokescreen coming up next here on WUB.
00:16:02Welcome back to Wake Up Barstool here on FS1, guys.
00:16:05Let's play a little game here.
00:16:07Let's look at the NFL.
00:16:09We're going to say statement or smokescreen.
00:16:12Woo!
00:16:12We're going to go through some of the surprising results from Sunday.
00:16:15And we're going to let you know if we think these teams are real or not.
00:16:18And let's start, Megan, with the New York Jets.
00:16:22Okay, you mentioned them last segment.
00:16:24I did mention them.
00:16:25Jets beating the Titans 23-10.
00:16:28Pretty handily.
00:16:29Very competent.
00:16:31First season opening win since 2023.
00:16:33Megan, statement or smokescreen, New York Jets?
00:16:36Still a smokescreen.
00:16:37I mean, it's the Titans.
00:16:38But, I mean, I'm definitely, I'm for the Jets having a great year.
00:16:42Why not?
00:16:42I mean, it's been forever.
00:16:44I feel like Jets fans need a little something.
00:16:46Give them a little, give them a little boost.
00:16:48You could put Hingham High School from the South Shore of Massachusetts against the Jets
00:16:53and they'd have a chance.
00:16:54Okay?
00:16:54The Titans stink.
00:16:56The Titans absolutely stink.
00:16:58The Jets stink as well.
00:17:00Look, Kiddick's shaking his finger at you.
00:17:01Keep going.
00:17:02Keep going.
00:17:02Keep going.
00:17:02Finish up.
00:17:03Are you with me or against me?
00:17:06Go ahead.
00:17:06No, go ahead.
00:17:07You go ahead.
00:17:08No.
00:17:08No, you go ahead.
00:17:09Guys.
00:17:09J-E-T-S.
00:17:11Jets.
00:17:12Jets.
00:17:12Jets.
00:17:13Jets.
00:17:13Where is this coming from?
00:17:14They're not good.
00:17:14I don't know.
00:17:15I just like the Jets, man.
00:17:17So, statement.
00:17:18So, you believe in this team.
00:17:19I actually do.
00:17:21Okay.
00:17:21Okay.
00:17:22Good, good.
00:17:22Yeah.
00:17:22Good analysis.
00:17:23Good analysis, Mike.
00:17:23Would you like to be on my television, we're doing a sports talk show.
00:17:28I just want to see a bad team.
00:17:29It might be good, man.
00:17:30Would you like to expound upon that?
00:17:32Why do you think they're going to be better this year?
00:17:34To be honest, they drafted two Hoosiers.
00:17:39Omar.
00:17:40Omar and Pons.
00:17:43I want memes to be happy.
00:17:45Can I see memes to be happy?
00:17:47I don't know.
00:17:47Meme tried to steal the Yuck Station yesterday.
00:17:49You did.
00:17:50Cars now.
00:17:51Chief.
00:17:52And, by the way, shout out to the Yuck Station.
00:17:54Oh, I didn't know it was in here.
00:17:55I absolutely love it here.
00:17:56Looks great.
00:17:57Still works.
00:17:58Yeah, I know.
00:17:59I actually pulled it earlier not knowing it was hooked up in beer spray.
00:18:02It was awesome.
00:18:03The Jets are going to be better this year, but, Chief, I'm still landing on the smokescreen
00:18:07here.
00:18:08What if they beat the Packers on Sunday?
00:18:09When you've been bad for 25 years, I'd need to see more than one game.
00:18:12Yeah.
00:18:12So, I like the way they ran the ball.
00:18:15I thought the defense looked pretty good, but the Titans stink.
00:18:18The Jets probably stink.
00:18:20I will say it's going to be tough, because they're going to go off, the Packers off a
00:18:23loss, correct?
00:18:24Yeah.
00:18:24And then the Lions off a loss.
00:18:27Yeah.
00:18:27Like, the Jets, I mean, nothing ever really works in their favor, it feels like.
00:18:32I mean, dude, yeah, they're probably going to suck.
00:18:35No, no, no.
00:18:35No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:18:36Stop.
00:18:36Have some underdogs.
00:18:38J-E-T-S.
00:18:38You're out the conversation.
00:18:40J-E-T-S.
00:18:40No, no, no.
00:18:41You're out this conversation.
00:18:42If you wanted to be involved, you had the opportunity, and you did nothing with it, okay?
00:18:48So, you're out.
00:18:49J-E-T-S.
00:18:50I don't want to make another self-shaved head bet, because I look the worst.
00:18:56Dana, don't do it.
00:18:57But the Jets are not going to win five games.
00:19:00They're not going to win five.
00:19:02I don't know.
00:19:03I'm not doing shaved head.
00:19:05I'm just saying, if it gets, maybe, I'm not doing shaved head.
00:19:10I think the win total is at five and a half, by the way.
00:19:13Join me in double chin.
00:19:14I will maybe do shaved beard if the Jets win more than five games.
00:19:19I need to see a double chin on you.
00:19:21Browns win.
00:19:22Dolphins win.
00:19:23Raiders could be a win.
00:19:24They got two against the Dolphins.
00:19:26You just watch, okay?
00:19:27They beat the Titans.
00:19:29Congratulations.
00:19:30The Titans have a quarterback who is throwing passes to himself.
00:19:34They are bad.
00:19:35The Jets are bad, okay?
00:19:37They're going to win four games this year.
00:19:39Yeah, fine.
00:19:40I'll go shaved face.
00:19:41I haven't gotten shaved face in a decade.
00:19:44Yes!
00:19:45Join me!
00:19:46If they win their fifth game this year, I will shave my face.
00:19:50Not even six?
00:19:51They only have to win five?
00:19:52The win total is five and a half, Dana.
00:19:53Vegas has five and a half.
00:19:54They're not going to win.
00:19:55Gino Smith is bad, okay?
00:19:57Let's do six.
00:19:58Let's do six.
00:19:59If they win six, you're serviceable.
00:20:00No, they're bad.
00:20:01I will do five.
00:20:02Okay.
00:20:03I think they win seven.
00:20:04Okay, dude.
00:20:05Okay.
00:20:05I can't wait until they win this.
00:20:07All right.
00:20:07That way, okay.
00:20:08So, that, Dana.
00:20:10You just talk yourself.
00:20:11Cincinnati Bengals next on the docket.
00:20:14Chief, they beat the Bucs.
00:20:16Great start to the year.
00:20:17Burrow has back tightness, but he says he's absolutely going to play in week two.
00:20:21Statement or smokescreen?
00:20:23As it currently stands, statement.
00:20:26When Burrow gets hurt eventually, because they still can't protect him, it'll be a smokescreen.
00:20:31But they looked great.
00:20:33The defense looked better than they've looked in years.
00:20:37They have Burrow.
00:20:39They have Chase.
00:20:40Chase Brown, the running back.
00:20:42I like that team.
00:20:44I just know that the other shoe's going to drop at some point.
00:20:47Yeah, I agree.
00:20:48Statement there.
00:20:50The defense probably isn't a great play to play, but, again, disruptive.
00:20:54Dana, Kansas City Chiefs.
00:20:56Whew!
00:20:57They looked good, brother.
00:20:58Kenneth Walker is an absolute game changer.
00:21:01This is a statement for me.
00:21:02I was very curious to see how Pat Mahomes would come out of the injury, and he was running.
00:21:08He looked completely, you know.
00:21:09He looked much better than Bo Nix.
00:21:11He looked really good.
00:21:12I mean, that is a tough team to go up against and score 31 points and win by three touchdowns.
00:21:19Kenneth Walker, though, that's the guy.
00:21:22Just hand him the ball 20 to 25 times a game and let him work.
00:21:27This is an absolute statement for me.
00:21:29It's going to be a weird year.
00:21:30I think it's a statement.
00:21:31I think the Chiefs, like the Bills and Ravens, will have a chance to look better than the Chiefs
00:21:35all year long, but both the Bills and Ravens will be terrified if they have to play the Chiefs
00:21:40come playoff time.
00:21:41Mikey, New York Giants.
00:21:43Statement or smokescreen?
00:21:43Wait, can I give a shout-out real quick to Khalil Benson?
00:21:46Yes.
00:21:47Mama Benson.
00:21:48Yeah.
00:21:48Oh, yeah.
00:21:49Tanya Benson.
00:21:50Khalil was undrafted.
00:21:52He got benched in the national championship game.
00:21:54Damn.
00:21:55He got an invite to a tryout with 70 other guys, earned a spot, made the 53-man roster,
00:22:03and then earned his starting spot on Monday Night Football and played well.
00:22:07Didn't give up a pressure, so I wanted to give a shout-out to Khalil Benson.
00:22:10And LaTanya Benson.
00:22:11We love you, Ms. Benson.
00:22:12You're the absolute best.
00:22:13Mama Benson, I love you.
00:22:14All right, real quick here.
00:22:15Giants.
00:22:15Statement is history.
00:22:16Giants, dude.
00:22:18G-I-A-N-T-S.
00:22:21Okay, okay.
00:22:22Statement.
00:22:23Oh, I mean, yeah, I love Skadaboo.
00:22:27I love Dart.
00:22:28He can use his legs really well.
00:22:29I think they're going to be good.
00:22:30I think they, uh, I think statement.
00:22:32Viking.
00:22:33Smokescreen.
00:22:34Gotta be.
00:22:34Carson Wentz.
00:22:35Yeah.
00:22:35Get out of here.
00:22:36Steelers.
00:22:38Statement.
00:22:40Smokescreen.
00:22:41Absolute smokescreen.
00:22:42Falcons are god-awful.
00:22:43Yeah.
00:22:44They're horrible.
00:22:44Really bad.
00:22:44They're horrible, dude.
00:22:46What did the Steelers beat the Patriots?
00:22:47Dude, Cardinals.
00:22:48It's about, ooh.
00:22:49Uh, um.
00:22:50Smoke.
00:22:51I mean, Jacoby Brissette.
00:22:52I love Jacoby.
00:22:53I'm a Jacoby Brissette.
00:22:54I think they do this so much better than they have in the past, so it feels like a statement,
00:22:58but I think it's a smokescreen.
00:22:59I've seen enough Jacoby Brissette that this is a smokescreen.
00:23:02We're the number one pay Jacoby program on the airwaves.
00:23:05Remember, we told you to pay Jacoby before everybody else was telling you to.
00:23:09Cardinals?
00:23:11Relative statement.
00:23:12Like, they're going to be better than we thought they were going to be this year.
00:23:15Yeah.
00:23:15I agree.
00:23:16I agree with that.
00:23:16David Bakhtiari for the show next.
00:23:20Talk to a little package of the O-line here on Wake Up Barstool.
00:23:26What's happening, y'all?
00:23:27Welcome back to Wake Up Barstool.
00:23:29We got some big boys on the panel every single Friday, and so we love being joined by the
00:23:34big boys.
00:23:35And right now, it's time to talk to one of two legendary O-linemen we'll discuss this
00:23:40morning.
00:23:40That's our guy, David Bakhtiari, multi-time All-Pro Green Bay Packer legend.
00:23:46Let's go.
00:23:47Looking sexy as hell this morning, David.
00:23:49Look at that, dude.
00:23:50Is this the new look?
00:23:51It looks fantastic.
00:23:53Yeah.
00:23:53Yeah.
00:23:54I actually just got a haircut yesterday.
00:23:55So embracing the new look, the new weight feels good.
00:24:00Joints feel good.
00:24:01So happy to be up this morning.
00:24:02Wait.
00:24:03You mean like you cut off your long hair yesterday?
00:24:08Or no?
00:24:09Technically, no, but I did get a haircut yesterday.
00:24:12Okay.
00:24:12Okay.
00:24:13I didn't know.
00:24:14It's amazing what these O-linemen do.
00:24:16We're having Joe Thomas later.
00:24:18These guys just, they slim down like nothing.
00:24:20Make it hot.
00:24:21That's going to be you one day, buddy.
00:24:23It's crazy, right?
00:24:24Hunter, are you taking a shot at Mikey?
00:24:25How much weight have you lost, David?
00:24:29Like 50.
00:24:30Woo!
00:24:31Yeah.
00:24:32Let's go.
00:24:32Oh.
00:24:33That's going to be you, Kadek.
00:24:34Just wait.
00:24:34Yeah, one day.
00:24:36All right.
00:24:36Let's get into the Packers real quick, David, because what the hell happened to?
00:24:42I mean, that game, Green Bay has it in hand.
00:24:46Everything, the three-quarter, it's all good.
00:24:48And then it didn't just go the wrong way.
00:24:51It imploded to a level that I don't know I've ever really seen before.
00:24:57Yeah.
00:24:57I mean, if you're looking for the answer from me, I mean, if I did have the answer,
00:25:00I'd probably be a head coach.
00:25:04I mean, my two cents is I just try not to overreact.
00:25:07It's week one.
00:25:09Dominate the first, you know, I don't know, call it 50, 55 minutes.
00:25:14Collapse in the final five to 10 or in the fourth quarter.
00:25:19It really is the important thing that I want to see is their ability to respond, to clean
00:25:24up, and see if this is a consistent theme.
00:25:27The last thing you want to see as you come out of the gates in the season is what kind
00:25:33of character your team starts evolving to.
00:25:34And that is what you consistently put on tape.
00:25:37So, if we see it happen more than once and create a trend, now we're probably in a bigger
00:25:42problem where we even have a different type of discussion.
00:25:44Is it a trend going back to last year when the Bears came back and did the same thing?
00:25:49It might be a trend.
00:25:50I mean, yeah.
00:25:51No, like, I think that's a very fair point.
00:25:54Um, I don't, I can't say enough because I feel like every year, uh, especially when
00:26:02I played, every year is different.
00:26:03Yeah.
00:26:04Um, can there be some lingering things from like the coaching side of stuff that, uh,
00:26:08bleeds over?
00:26:08Yeah.
00:26:08But I mean, I know those guys, those just like every coach, I would assume, I'll say, let's
00:26:14say three fourths of the NFL's coaches.
00:26:16They're so obsessive.
00:26:17They literally live and breathe football all day.
00:26:18They're in there.
00:26:19They're prepared.
00:26:20They're ready.
00:26:21So I think it's just kind of fine tuning, cleaning up.
00:26:23Maybe their operations or the situational awareness and just maybe change up a little
00:26:27bit of the, a little bit of the character side of things, um, or the characteristics
00:26:31that they want their team to embody.
00:26:34So, I mean, like I said, I think the first quarter of the season is always where you find
00:26:39out what type of a team you have and what type of a personality your team's going to,
00:26:43um, take.
00:26:44So I, I think this conversation really gets cemented, uh, you know, in the first four to
00:26:50five weeks.
00:26:51David, uh, looking at the game last night, the lions obviously are down like three stars
00:26:56on the offensive line.
00:26:57I wanted to ask you, what's it like, especially going into like an early, you know, week two
00:27:02game, not having a lot of your, your, your solid five starters.
00:27:06Like how long does it take for you to kind of get used to the guy next to you?
00:27:11If it's not someone you're used to and like get that like cohesive unit back.
00:27:17Um, it is a little bit different though.
00:27:20So I still will say, and I guess now I lean on the fan side, I understand the fans, they
00:27:27don't, there's no excuse.
00:27:28Right.
00:27:28Everyone wants the quality product at the end of the day, there's games of it.
00:27:31I've played sick with a practice squad guy that got brought up.
00:27:35It's you got to get the job done.
00:27:36All they see is the number and the logo and they want to see performance.
00:27:39Like it's, it's a show.
00:27:41Yeah.
00:27:41So not a good show.
00:27:42Um, I mean, there are challenges with it.
00:27:46I think it all also depends on who's to the right and left of you.
00:27:49Um, so how good the player is, um, next, you can bring up the person in between you or
00:27:55the person next to you.
00:27:56And that's from a leadership side.
00:27:58That's from a, you know, how quality the player is.
00:28:00But if you got brand new guys and like, let's say three, let's say center to right tackle.
00:28:05Uh, yeah, that could be a recipe for disaster, especially on when you're in the bright lights,
00:28:10the only show on, uh, for that day.
00:28:12Cause you know, the opposing team and defenses, like they wake up a little bit more when the
00:28:16lights come on as part of those noon games, they're a little bit sleepier.
00:28:19Uh, which I've always appreciated noon games for that.
00:28:22Dude.
00:28:23Uh, when, when, when you were in green Bay for, for the majority of the time there, the
00:28:27bears, um, kind of an afterthought, not to say there weren't flashes.
00:28:31Right.
00:28:31But, but maybe not the best year.
00:28:32And yeah, definitely not on the green Bay's level.
00:28:34Uh, now I have your thought.
00:28:36Yeah.
00:28:38Now, not anymore.
00:28:40Then John, hold on, relax.
00:28:42Ben Johnson, uh, Ben Johnson leaves.
00:28:45He goes to Chicago.
00:28:46Chicago are the bears, the class of the NFC North now.
00:28:49And how does that make you feel?
00:28:51Uh, first off, I can only speak for the era that I participated in and it was just grade
00:28:58A belt the entire time.
00:29:01Which was a lot of fun.
00:29:02Um, so again, I get to say that.
00:29:05Yeah.
00:29:05But I also can say now being a fan, being outside is that is a dangerous organization.
00:29:13I think they have pieces.
00:29:14I think that they have a ceiling that they haven't even reached.
00:29:18I think they have a leader that's got some psychotic behavior, which I am a fan of as
00:29:25being a player.
00:29:26I liked, I always gravitated more towards the extremists that wanted to, you can tell they
00:29:31got that different fire, um, in their eyes.
00:29:34And Ben clearly is exhibiting that through his play of calling and just the sound bites
00:29:39that we get.
00:29:40So I'd be very, I would just make sure to not overlook the bears week over week, year
00:29:49over year, because they have something that I think is brewing over there.
00:29:52Uh, David, you play, you, you played with incredible quarterbacks, obviously.
00:29:56Um, Aaron Rogers just, you know, well, what, but first ballot hall of fame, one of the best
00:30:00ever do it.
00:30:01I thought we had seen Josh Allen's ceiling, but it looks like Joe Brady and this combination
00:30:08may show that there's even a little more room to push that thing in terms of what he
00:30:13can do as a man who's seen so much football competing with players of that caliber.
00:30:17Like, like what goes through your head when you see what Josh Allen's done in these first
00:30:21two games?
00:30:24Um, I think just put it all together and it's just consistency.
00:30:28Like we know we had a high ceiling now.
00:30:29It's just like, how many times can you repeat a weekend and week out?
00:30:32Um, and then now having obviously a new coaching staff, the big thing there is there's new
00:30:39wrinkles.
00:30:39So now you not only have to worry about Josh Allen, what he's capable of, but there's going
00:30:43to be new formations and new schemes and, um, you know, maybe a better dynamic.
00:30:49I don't, I'm not in the building, but maybe there's a better dynamic in conversation that
00:30:53has had between the offensive coordinator and the play caller and Josh and his ability to
00:30:58be able to maybe check to more of his favorable plays.
00:31:01Cause again, if he's playing and utilizing what he's most comfortable with on a daily
00:31:06basis on certain throws and looks, um, it can just raise more of his floor as well.
00:31:13And maybe, maybe it's not as much raising a ceiling, just raising his floor, which then
00:31:17creates the consistency part.
00:31:19And that's, that's all you want at the end of the day.
00:31:21Just be consistent.
00:31:22So you were talking a little bit about, uh, how you enjoyed the psychos and kind of like
00:31:26the extreme guys out there on the field.
00:31:28My guy, Kadic has told me stories about what he would do as an offensive lineman to try
00:31:32and get in other players' heads where you would just kind of talk some trash.
00:31:36And, you know, you had your own, yeah, you can't say it on air, but you had your own
00:31:40style, uh, did you have your own type of, you know, any stories or anything you would
00:31:44do when you're out there to try and gain an edge over the, uh, the opponent?
00:31:48Um, Dan, a great question.
00:31:50Uh, I, I wasn't much of a talker at all.
00:31:56Uh, I think my scary edge was when you like a lot, I, some guys would call me like, let
00:32:06me finish what I'm saying.
00:32:07Like they'd call me like two face where I was like, happy to go lucky, talk all the
00:32:10time.
00:32:11And then come game day, my locked in was, I was silent.
00:32:15Yeah.
00:32:15Like if I was talking, it was, I was either something really bad happened to me and I'm
00:32:20like, something needs to get fixed.
00:32:22And then I go silent again, or I'm making an adjustment better than that.
00:32:26You, my eyes are just like wide open and like to get into the opposing person's head,
00:32:30I would just, if they'd give me their best, they would look at me and they would see
00:32:34nothing and I think it's almost like the silent person is the person you're most worried about.
00:32:39I was going to say, that's, that's even scarier.
00:32:41That was kind of like my Twitch, like whether I had an unbelievable play against a guy or
00:32:46even a guy got after me and he started trash talking and say something, I would just stare
00:32:50at him.
00:32:50Just no emotion.
00:32:51And it was just kind of like that, that almost like Mike Tyson look before I could match.
00:32:55That's kind of what was going on in my head.
00:32:57And not to mention inside my head was a lot of, yeah, that's just like contained and focused
00:33:03into playing.
00:33:04Cause I'm definitely not, I, you definitely have to put yourself in different, different
00:33:08mental headspace to want to hit people all day, which is funny.
00:33:12Cause off the field, I'm not aggressive at all.
00:33:15You ever, uh, you ever grab any meat?
00:33:17That's what Mikey used to do.
00:33:18He'd be grabbing meat constantly.
00:33:20Nah, nah, nah, I'm just kidding.
00:33:22Hey, but you know what you did today?
00:33:24Are you talking about like a growth report?
00:33:26Are we saying like driving like, yeah, like their bellies and their arms and stuff.
00:33:31Yeah, exactly.
00:33:32Yeah, that's what you meant.
00:33:33One thing, I don't know about the meat, but one thing I do know, Dave, is you could chug
00:33:36a beer.
00:33:37We have some footage here.
00:33:38Dana, do you think you could out chug David Bakhtiar?
00:33:40No, no.
00:33:41We did this and he beat me.
00:33:43He's, he's, he's, he's fast.
00:33:46Look at this, dude.
00:33:47So, damn.
00:33:48Even in my prime, man, this was my prime 2021.
00:33:51He was, he was so much faster than me.
00:33:54This dude is, is one of the best I've ever seen, man.
00:33:57We might have to get him versus Deutsche.
00:33:59Look at that.
00:34:00He knows, he knows how to get a crowd going for sure.
00:34:01I remember those Milwaukee crowds.
00:34:03They loved it because they love to have their beers up there.
00:34:06And I remember just being in that environment.
00:34:08He got them so fired up for those playoff games.
00:34:11So all credit to Bakhtiar.
00:34:12Dana, that was worth going to that game, right?
00:34:15No comment.
00:34:16Are you still slamming beers?
00:34:18Are you still slamming beers nowadays or what?
00:34:20Definitely.
00:34:21Weekends when it calls for it.
00:34:22Absolutely.
00:34:23As long as it fits within my diet, I will make sure to delete some.
00:34:26I like to have a good time now.
00:34:28I mean, I have structure, but I also like to have a good time.
00:34:30Also a funny thing from that, Dana, I don't know if you recall, I think we traded hats.
00:34:35I still have the hat.
00:34:36I think you even signed it.
00:34:37I think we took a photo.
00:34:39It's really in my closet right now.
00:34:40That was again, glory days, good old days.
00:34:44I had so much fun, I mean, getting a crowd juiced up to be a part of, a little bit
00:34:50of
00:34:50part of their journey on when they, you know, went all the way.
00:34:53I just had so much fun there and just, and I got to chug beers in the process.
00:34:58I mean, like, what's the hell?
00:34:59I mean, I didn't invent chugging beer at a, at a football or at a basketball game, but
00:35:04I made it cool.
00:35:05Yeah.
00:35:06And you happen to be really good at it.
00:35:08A little beerzy, Bakhtiari, Jersey swap.
00:35:12Love to hear it.
00:35:12David, thank you so much for the time this morning, man.
00:35:15Of course.
00:35:16Appreciate y'all.
00:35:16Good seeing you.
00:35:17See you, brother.
00:35:17Coming up next, let's head to the money quarter.
00:35:19Mega Mega Money's cooked you up another win in parlay.
00:35:22Plus, we got Joe Thomas joining the show.
00:35:25We got Heather McMahon coming by as well.
00:35:28A lot to get to on today's web.
00:35:31You're going to get me in trouble, man.
00:35:37There you go, guys.
00:35:39You know what time it is.
00:35:40It's a Friday in hour one, which means it's time to head to the money corner with Megan
00:35:45making money, not satisfied with making the boys 80K just a couple of weeks ago.
00:35:51She's back.
00:35:52She's cooked up another parlay here.
00:35:54So, first off, thank you for everyone that said that I went 0-5 last week.
00:35:59I did.
00:36:00That's accountability.
00:36:00I have to be better.
00:36:01So, here we go.
00:36:03After that 80K, you know, you got to deplete your bank account just a little bit responsibly.
00:36:07So, up first, we're going to parlay these two together, make them minus 125.
00:36:11So, Georgia, whenever they play their first SEC games of the year, they are 10-0 in their
00:36:16last 10.
00:36:16However, they're not covering.
00:36:18They're 3-7 ATS.
00:36:19So, what I did was go with, in my head, a little safer play.
00:36:23You have Gunnar Stockton, two-plus passing touchdowns.
00:36:25He has been nearly perfect.
00:36:26Perfect.
00:36:27I believe he's had, let's double-check that, eight passing touchdowns with just four incompletions.
00:36:32Yeah.
00:36:33And it's been against inferior opponents.
00:36:34He leads the country in passer rating right now.
00:36:35Right.
00:36:36Look, it's been inferior opponents, for sure.
00:36:38However, Arkansas just got steamrolled by Utah.
00:36:41I have a feeling that Georgia's going to do the exact same thing.
00:36:44Obviously, Nate Frazier, he's the engine of the backfield.
00:36:47I believe he has four touchdowns on 10 carries.
00:36:50I mean, again, these two guys, they should be able to get it done if you parlay these
00:36:53two together.
00:36:54Within the parlay, this is minus 125.
00:36:57Up next, we have Toledo minus the six.
00:36:59This offense is absolutely firing right now.
00:37:02They're off a 569-yard, 63-point performance.
00:37:07Damn.
00:37:07They're going up against the Owls.
00:37:10So, Toledo's averaging 9.8 yards per pass.
00:37:14And then the – and Temple Owls are giving up eight yards per pass.
00:37:19Temple's going to try to slow this down.
00:37:20They do not have the air raid to be able to keep up with Toledo.
00:37:24Give me Toledo, minus a six at home.
00:37:26Speaking of which, at home, last season they outscored opponents.
00:37:29Let me double-check this.
00:37:32276-46.
00:37:33They are smoking people in the glass bowl.
00:37:35Hey, Toledo, I see you, bro.
00:37:36Up next, we're going to go with Lenora Sellers, 40-plus rushing yards.
00:37:40Talked to our good friend Brandon Walker yesterday.
00:37:42He's not really excited about this game.
00:37:46Mississippi State historically has an issue with mobile quarterbacks.
00:37:50Lenora Sellers, he's been there.
00:37:51He's done it.
00:37:52I think he's going to be able to just tuck that ball and run.
00:37:55Give me Lenora Sellers, 40-plus rushing yards.
00:37:57Sellers versus Kamario Taylor,
00:37:59one of the more exciting quarterback matchups in the entire country.
00:38:03Going down this week and cannot wait to see that one.
00:38:06All right, last up, we have Kevin Jennings, 290-plus passing yards.
00:38:12This guy knows a Brahm defense.
00:38:14He's played them 2024.
00:38:17He threw for 281 yards.
00:38:192025 threw for 303.
00:38:21Now, that is a little too close for comfort to our 290-plus passing yards.
00:38:26However, I believe he's going to be able to get this done.
00:38:29He's going to be playing in a tough place in Louisville.
00:38:31However, don't forget, SMU opened up at Florida State.
00:38:35And while Florida State is not the juggernaut they used to be in the past,
00:38:38that's still a tough environment.
00:38:39And he hung 430 yards.
00:38:43Not to mention, Louisville is struggling giving up those big explosive plays
00:38:48through the air, which I do think Jennings is going to have plenty of this weekend.
00:38:53Yeah, and it comes in a weekend, Megan.
00:38:55If you look around the college football slate, more on this a bit later,
00:38:57it's a week slate, okay?
00:38:59A lot of coward football going down this week.
00:39:02But when you look at the ACC, everybody's, okay,
00:39:05who's going to be the number one contender to the Miami Hurricanes?
00:39:09This SMU-Louisville game?
00:39:11I mean, that's exactly what this is.
00:39:14Also.
00:39:14Who's going to challenge for the belt?
00:39:16It's Kevin Jennings or it's Kynholz.
00:39:17That's a great game coming out of the ACC.
00:39:20Number one passing offense in the nation right now.
00:39:22Damn.
00:39:23So.
00:39:23Shout out Kevin Jennings.
00:39:24Always really good.
00:39:25Always kind of ignored.
00:39:27The one time we saw him on a playoff stage, he got dominated by Penn State.
00:39:31We'll see if he can bounce back on a big stage this weekend.
00:39:35Speaking of bouncing back, that's what I'm trying to do,
00:39:37which is why we kind of condensed this parlay a little bit this week.
00:39:40It's 11-1.
00:39:41There we go.
00:39:42Almost 12-1.
00:39:43And, of course, I did play LSU minus a 2.5.
00:39:45I'm not going to give that out officially because I can't lose twice with that game.
00:39:51But, yeah, we have LSU minus 2.5 and then parlayed with a Dylan Jones touchdown.
00:39:54All right, guys.
00:39:55So, there you go.
00:39:55There's the money corner.
00:39:56Let's get to our other gambling bit that we've been doing.
00:40:00This is weather or not.
00:40:02Let's go.
00:40:03This is our guy, Reese.
00:40:04Producer Reese.
00:40:05He is a.
00:40:06Smoked me last week.
00:40:07You're a logical nerd.
00:40:08You tried to stand up to weather or not last week.
00:40:11I did.
00:40:11You paid the price.
00:40:12Weather or not as it stands today, guys, 5-1.
00:40:16Woo-hoo!
00:40:17And Reese has cooked up three more weather-based plays for you to play this weekend.
00:40:22And it starts, you sound like you're from London.
00:40:25That's right.
00:40:26Kansas, Arizona State.
00:40:27They're playing in Wembley Stadium, okay?
00:40:30I do like this.
00:40:30We're talking a partially retracted roof, gusty English air.
00:40:35And this stadium is apparently known for tunneling winds because of the architecture.
00:40:41So, you look at all the factors here, right?
00:40:43An underwhelming Kansas offense.
00:40:45It looked god-awful.
00:40:46I do love Arizona State's offense.
00:40:48It's worth that worse.
00:40:48But going across the pond, tunneling winds, it all equals under 50-and-a-half.
00:40:54Oh, and, of course, it's English.
00:40:56It's England.
00:40:57So, it's going to rain, right?
00:40:58It has to rain.
00:40:59Ew.
00:41:00Second play.
00:41:02Vikings at Bears.
00:41:05This is bold.
00:41:06You want to talk about the weather or not system taking a shot?
00:41:10We've been glazing Ben Johnson in this Bears offense all week long.
00:41:14Going to be the best ever.
00:41:14Going to average 38 a game, like Ben said.
00:41:17Playing under 48-and-a-half, dude.
00:41:20Okay?
00:41:20Look, the temperatures should be nice.
00:41:22But we're talking some major wind gusts.
00:41:25And, apparently, rain lasting into the game.
00:41:29But prior to kickoff, two to three inches of rain.
00:41:33Puddling.
00:41:34Soldier Field.
00:41:35Chief, how does Soldier Field handle all that rain?
00:41:38It's the worst turf in the league.
00:41:40So, it's going to be a sloppy mess.
00:41:42If you remember Justin Fields several years ago doing the Superman slot.
00:41:45Yeah, that was sick.
00:41:46Yes, that was awesome.
00:41:47I would love to see that again.
00:41:48It'll be sloppy, yeah.
00:41:49All right.
00:41:50So, despite Ben Johnson playing the other there, and then the final play, Eagles-Titans.
00:41:53And, guys, here it is.
00:41:54We have our first official over.
00:41:57I mean, the Eagles are going to score this themselves, correct?
00:41:59I mean, this is an insane number right here, guys.
00:42:01The Eagles will score this themselves, right?
00:42:02That's an insane number.
00:42:03This is gross, but I trust this man with my life.
00:42:07For the NFL to be 39 and a half, good God, absolute disgusting.
00:42:12But, we are talking perfect weather, guys.
00:42:15No wind, no precipitation.
00:42:18It's going to be about 90 degrees, warmer air, less dense air.
00:42:22For the first time in weather or not's history, we're playing the over.
00:42:25So, there it is, guys.
00:42:26Five and one.
00:42:27This is not a parlay.
00:42:27You can, if you want.
00:42:29Play these individually, and let's see if the weather nerd, Reese, can continue to call.
00:42:34If you do parlay, it's plus $5.95.
00:42:36Woo!
00:42:37You're getting a little juice there.
00:42:39All right, guys.
00:42:40We've still got plenty more to get to coming up next hour.
00:42:42We're going to head into the film room.
00:42:44We've got Joe Thomas stopping by once again.
00:42:46Going to have to pick his brain about everything that he saw last night, over the weekend.
00:42:51We've got Heather McMahon.
00:42:53We've got a lot.
00:42:54Here on Whoop.
00:42:58Welcome back to Wake Up Barstool, guys.
00:43:00We've got Joe Thomas coming up on the show here in a couple of minutes.
00:43:03I want to talk more about last night's game, but first, we're here in Chicago.
00:43:08We talked about yesterday.
00:43:09PCA, man.
00:43:11Unbelievable.
00:43:12Unconscious.
00:43:13Breaking MLB records, Cubs records, but kind of buried in it.
00:43:18Our guy, Alex Bregman, red hot right now, okay?
00:43:21I mean, second half of the season, Chief, third in the MLB in war.
00:43:25But he's not just hot on the diamond, he's hot on the racetrack as well.
00:43:30Alex Bregman had a horse racing at Churchill Downs yesterday, and here are the Chicago Cubs,
00:43:35the boys, celebrating one of their teammates' success.
00:43:41Look at this, dude.
00:43:42Oh, I love this.
00:43:44Oh, look at this, dude.
00:43:45You're just with your boys?
00:43:47Yeah.
00:43:47I wonder who was on Mount.
00:43:49Do you know who the jockey was?
00:43:52I don't think I know what that means.
00:43:53Oh, like who the jockey was?
00:43:54Yeah.
00:43:54Not sure.
00:43:55Having a great time.
00:43:57The boys hosting them up.
00:43:58This is like, this is vibes.
00:44:00This is a stretch run.
00:44:01You need to break up.
00:44:02These are the dog days.
00:44:03This makes me feel so much better about them having home field advantage that they're just going to run through.
00:44:09Obviously, Bregman there.
00:44:11Craig Council was there.
00:44:12It was like the whole organization was out for a day off.
00:44:15That's how you do it.
00:44:16Oh, dressing the part.
00:44:17I like that.
00:44:18These are boys having fun.
00:44:19Looks like you, Chief.
00:44:20That guy?
00:44:21Similar facial hair.
00:44:23I really did.
00:44:24A little skinny hair.
00:44:25That just shows, I mean, you got to close.
00:44:27Oh, wow.
00:44:28This is PCA talking to the horse before the race.
00:44:31He was bad in touch, man.
00:44:32No wonder it won, dude.
00:44:34That's the magic touch.
00:44:36Getting the boys together, showing some support for your guy, that's got to feel amazing if you're Bregman.
00:44:41It also just has to feel amazing.
00:44:43I don't think Bregman's a notable horse guy.
00:44:45I don't think he's been around for a long time in racing just to have your horse go out there
00:44:49and win one.
00:44:50I could be wrong.
00:44:51No, no.
00:44:52It's, by the way, not that much bigger than the jockey, which is kind of crazy to think about.
00:44:56No, I know.
00:44:57That's not the jockey.
00:44:59He's just dressed like him.
00:45:00He's wearing the silk.
00:45:00Oh, that's okay.
00:45:02Okay, that makes a bit.
00:45:03That's the biggest jockey I've ever seen.
00:45:05That takes a bit more sense.
00:45:07Yeah, that's cheap.
00:45:08No, look, so it makes you feel better then about the Cubbies' unification here for this final run.
00:45:14Yeah, I mean, it's like you could either, if they're playing in Cincinnati tonight, so it's an off day, travel
00:45:19day, coming from, I don't know, they're playing Atlanta.
00:45:21They were here.
00:45:22But it's like, you could have dinner, you could sit in your hotel room, you could just kind of do
00:45:26your own thing, do whatever.
00:45:27Instead, you got 25, 30 guys who looked like the coaching staff was there, too.
00:45:32Everybody happened in that moment.
00:45:33Now we go.
00:45:34Yeah, a brutal sport, too, horse racing.
00:45:37Like, to your point, Megan, Jim Rome, I used to work with him, and he was in it for years,
00:45:41and he had his heart smashed.
00:45:44I'm in it.
00:45:45Look at the odd father.
00:45:45A million times.
00:45:46Yeah, I mean, look at, oh, yeah, wait.
00:45:48Yeah, White Sox, Dave and I, during COVID, we bought into a stable.
00:45:52So we have, like, a, yeah.
00:45:54What's that like?
00:45:55How much of a percentage of a horse do you own?
00:45:57Oh, I like to say I own, like, the nose, the little part that I pet.
00:46:00That's the only part that I own.
00:46:02But it's, we got in, and it was really fun when we had Arlington open, because we'd go there, you'd
00:46:08go to the, watch them train, you'd get in the stables, you'd pet them, you'd feed them.
00:46:10It was awesome, and we, our horses won a couple of races.
00:46:13So we named them after Jay Cutler.
00:46:14He was a great horse, Smokin' Jay.
00:46:16Shout out Smokin' Jay.
00:46:17Yeah, it was awesome.
00:46:18It was a lot of fun.
00:46:19Well, yeah, too bad they shut down Arlene to build a stadium that's going to Hammond.
00:46:25Yeah.
00:46:25Anyway, last night, Thursday night football, the Buffalo Bills, it was the Detroit Lions, the opening of Highmark Stadium.
00:46:31It was, on paper, a premier NFL matchup, but apparently the Bills didn't get the memo that we needed some
00:46:37excitement on Thursday night,
00:46:39because they rushed out to a 21-0 lead.
00:46:41Josh Allen looks like the MVP.
00:46:44Chief, are the Bills, should they be the favorite in the AFC?
00:46:48And I say this because, look, the Ravens were incredible week one.
00:46:51The Chiefs look like they're back.
00:46:53Are you throwing your lot in with the Bills?
00:46:56Yeah, I think you have to.
00:46:58I think it's one of those things you just ride the best horse.
00:47:01You know, you ride Josh Allen, and I think that they have everything.
00:47:05And, you know, like the new stadium's cool.
00:47:07They just seem like they have – they're like a – a team of destiny doesn't – who said he
00:47:13was on a mission?
00:47:14Like, that is – yeah, Josh Allen does kind of feel like that.
00:47:17How old is – is he 30 now?
00:47:20He's got to be.
00:47:21I would – I'll do a quick Google check.
00:47:23Like, he's got to be about 30, 31 if I had to guess.
00:47:26Right.
00:47:26So, it's like –
00:47:2730 years old.
00:47:2730 years old.
00:47:28So, like, he's still in his prime, but it's like – it's going to be over with him before you
00:47:32know it,
00:47:33especially, like, his ability to run and take the hits and the punishment.
00:47:37It just feels like this is the year.
00:47:40It has to be the year for the Bills.
00:47:41They're so strong.
00:47:43So, yeah, I think they're the favorite.
00:47:44I'm very, very interested to see Lamar because he looked like vintage Lamar last time.
00:47:50Yeah, he looked fantastic.
00:47:51So, if – and, you know, obviously with a new coach, if he can get back to what he was
00:47:56with that running style,
00:47:57you know, in conjunction with – you like that conjunction?
00:48:00I was just about to say.
00:48:02With passing the ball.
00:48:03I know he's – you know, Zay Flowers and Jacoby Lane are hurt right now, but, man,
00:48:08I'm looking forward to seeing him become, you know, vintage Lamar.
00:48:13I'm looking forward to talking to this Mexican and the Hall of Famer Joe Thomas.
00:48:17Hall of Fame beef.
00:48:18Go check it out.
00:48:19Joe, what's up, man?
00:48:20Welcome back to the show.
00:48:21How are we doing today?
00:48:22I'm doing fabulous.
00:48:23How are you guys doing?
00:48:25So good.
00:48:26Thank you for joining us again.
00:48:27Last time you were on here, you gave us incredible insight into that Trent Williams-Miles Garrett battle
00:48:33and exactly how Williams won that.
00:48:35Let's look at last night's game, and I want to start with the Bills offense.
00:48:39Because, Joe, we're seeing a trend right now in the NFL.
00:48:42Offenses are going under center.
00:48:44They're going big, and they're having great success.
00:48:47And you look at Buffalo.
00:48:48The whole line looks great.
00:48:50Allen's huge.
00:48:51Cook's a great running back.
00:48:52A bevy of tight ends.
00:48:53Like, this Buffalo offense, so in your opinion, is this kind of the perfect offense for where the NFL's at
00:48:59right now?
00:49:00Yeah, you know, the NFL is always chasing its tail on offense.
00:49:04You know, it's under center.
00:49:05You're playing with a fullback.
00:49:06Then you spread it out.
00:49:07You get the fullback.
00:49:08You get the tight ends off the field.
00:49:09And then now we're going back to a little bit of more of those old-school offenses where you're under
00:49:14center,
00:49:14which gives you a much better play-action game, which I think that's why you're seeing a lot of the
00:49:18teams do it.
00:49:19You saw Kyle Shanahan when he went to San Francisco and how he really opened up the offense with explosive
00:49:25plays.
00:49:26And you see guys that had worked for him now taking head coaching jobs and bringing that type of an
00:49:31offense
00:49:31where you're starting under center, you're running the outside zone, you're giving great play-action fakes,
00:49:36opening up explosive plays down the field.
00:49:38And then what Buffalo is so good at right now is once you get into the red zone, you're putting
00:49:42in two tight ends.
00:49:43So you're forcing the defense to try to take the runaway because those guys can run block.
00:49:48And then you have an opportunity to beat safeties because your tight ends are more athletic.
00:49:52They're bigger targets when you get down there in the red zone.
00:49:55And so right now, Buffalo is the boilerplate for what you want to have on offense in the NFL
00:50:00because you can get those explosive plays.
00:50:03You can run the football.
00:50:04Obviously, you've got the greatest quarterback in football, which is not a bad deal either.
00:50:06But once you get down to the red zone, you make it hard on a defense because you're putting two
00:50:11tight ends in the game.
00:50:12You can run the football.
00:50:13And then you've got matchups that you love in the passing game throwing to your big fellas that are playing
00:50:18tight end.
00:50:18You can let them high point the football and win one-on-one there in the end zone.
00:50:22Joe, I feel like last night I could have called like 15 false starts on Deion Dawkins and Spencer Brown
00:50:28for getting a jump.
00:50:30But I feel like you have to nowadays because all these DNs are so quick and fast off the ball.
00:50:37Is this something that you did a lot or the guys in your era did a lot?
00:50:42Because I feel like as we've evolved in the NFL, these DNs are getting smaller and smaller and quicker and
00:50:49quicker.
00:50:49Is this something that you had to do eventually towards the end of your career?
00:50:55I don't want to act like I invented it or I was the first guy that did it, but I
00:51:00was the first guy that figured out that you've got to get off the ball before the defense does.
00:51:04If you want to have a chance against these skinny little pass rushers that they've got out there that run
00:51:08four 340s these days.
00:51:09But the one thing that I said, you know, previously, maybe, you know, before I got to the NFL, you
00:51:15would see once the ball really started actually moving, the center was like actually moving that football off the grass.
00:51:21That's when everybody started going.
00:51:23Then we started anticipating it.
00:51:25And then I started making the standard when the tip of the football starts moving from the center is when
00:51:31I need to be able to go.
00:51:32So as the quarterbacks rolling in is 180, 180 sit hot.
00:51:36I'm moving on set.
00:51:38I'm not moving on hot if I know it's on one.
00:51:40And then the silent count was even better because the silent count is just rhythmic.
00:51:44So as long as the center is using the same rhythm when he picks his head up thousand one snap,
00:51:49I'm going head up thousand and I'm moving because there's a little lag between when your brain says move and
00:51:55when your body moves.
00:51:56And if you know how long that millimeter of a second is, I can anticipate when that ball is actually
00:52:01going to start moving.
00:52:02So when you slow it down from that sideline copy and you see the tip of the football move, that's
00:52:06when that left tackle should move.
00:52:08I got a chance to talk with the on Dawkins because they were practicing with the Browns during joint practice
00:52:12this year.
00:52:13And we talked about that same thing.
00:52:14What's the most important thing for a left tackle?
00:52:16It's not being big and strong and having 30 reps in the bench at the combine.
00:52:21No, it's can I move when that football is moving consistently?
00:52:25Can I get ahead of that defensive end?
00:52:27Because if we're even, I'm losing.
00:52:29That guy is bigger, faster, more athletic.
00:52:32He's got a better looking girlfriend.
00:52:33Everything is better on defense.
00:52:35The only advantage I have is that I know the snap count.
00:52:37Yeah.
00:52:38Man, I love watching you guys just talk.
00:52:40I mean, Joe's insight is unbelievable.
00:52:45It is Hall of Fame insight, hence the Hall of Fame.
00:52:49And so I'd ask you this, Joe.
00:52:51We are a morning sports talk show, which means we are contractually obligated to talk about the Dallas Cowboys.
00:52:57So much hype about the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason.
00:53:00They come out, the Giants immediately make a statement.
00:53:04A lot of talk about the Commanders as well.
00:53:06They fall to the Eagles, two teams behind the eight ball.
00:53:09Who do you think needs to win more this week in between the Commanders and the Cowboys?
00:53:13You know, if the Commanders go 0-2, it's a bad week.
00:53:17It's big news.
00:53:18They had high expectations.
00:53:19The fan base is disappointed.
00:53:21They're calling for the coach's job.
00:53:23They're saying the quarterback's not who they thought they were.
00:53:25If Dallas goes 0-2, Jarrah is doing another documentary about the disaster in Dallas.
00:53:32The entire world is on a very big watch list right now because the Cowboys, even if the expectations aren't
00:53:39sky high,
00:53:40I mean, they're America's team for a reason.
00:53:42I hated them growing up.
00:53:43I was a Packers fan.
00:53:45They dusted us a bunch in the 90s.
00:53:47But it's a massive deal because they're the Cowboys, and Jarrah Jones makes them the center of everybody's universe.
00:53:54And you know what?
00:53:56It's a big problem because the question this year was like, hey, are the Cowboys going to be able to
00:54:00finally take Dak Prescott,
00:54:02who I think is one of the great quarterbacks, the underrated quarterbacks in the NFL, and get him into the
00:54:07playoffs?
00:54:08Can they make a run?
00:54:09Do they have what it takes?
00:54:10Because at some point you're going to say, hey, Dak, you're a great quarterback, but you're a numbers guy.
00:54:15Because in the end, you've got to win football games, and he hasn't won enough football games and big moments
00:54:19in the playoffs yet
00:54:20to be considered one of the greats in this game, even though he's got tons of yards and he's got
00:54:25tons of amazing stats
00:54:26and everybody loves him.
00:54:27You've still got to be able to win those football games.
00:54:29And, you know, the questions and the pressure just continue to mount when you're under that big Dallas star.
00:54:35Sticking in the NFC East here, the Eagles with Landon Dickerson, you saw him kind of put his hand up
00:54:41and say,
00:54:42man, I don't even know if I should have been playing in that first game with the knee injury and
00:54:46everything.
00:54:47And now he's going to be out for a little bit of time.
00:54:48How much does that affect, you know, play calling and scheming when you lose a guy like that
00:54:54who's so important to that offensive line and obviously a very good offensive line?
00:54:58How does that change, you know, the Eagles and what they're doing moving forward?
00:55:03It's a big concern for me because the Eagles, as they've been on this great run here in recent memory,
00:55:09it's because they've had the best offensive line in football.
00:55:12I mean, it started with Jason Kelsey when he was there.
00:55:14They've always had Lane Johnson, who's the best right tackle in the history of the game.
00:55:18We got Jordan Mailata, who's one of the great stories in the NFL, pro bowler, all pro left tackle,
00:55:24didn't even play football growing up in New Zealand as a rugby guy.
00:55:27And they've always had these big physical dominant offensive lines that has been the key to everything that they do,
00:55:34not just on offense, but on defense, because they can get a lead and then they can hold on to
00:55:38the football
00:55:39because they can physically wear out the defense.
00:55:41They win the war of attrition.
00:55:43They can win a bunch of different ways.
00:55:45And as you start to lose your top guys on that offensive line, like you can't replace a pro bowl
00:55:51guard with just a dude.
00:55:53Like on the offensive line, Kadic knows, like you got five guys and really you're a chain and you're as
00:55:59strong as your weakest link.
00:56:00And you lose one dude, that defense knows it.
00:56:03And the advantage the defense has is not only are they bigger, faster, stronger, and better looking typically,
00:56:10but they can move and we can't.
00:56:12So if you've got one dude who sucks, take a guess where they're going to put their best player over
00:56:17that guy that sucks.
00:56:18So, you know, for me as a left tackle, sometimes our right tackle wasn't as good.
00:56:21Like if I had a pro bowler, I knew all I had to do was beat him for the first
00:56:24couple of series.
00:56:25And then he's going to go over the other side and try to take care of the weak link.
00:56:28Yeah.
00:56:30Yeah.
00:56:30Yeah.
00:56:31Another big game, Bears, Vikings, NFC North.
00:56:35Bears put up 59 points.
00:56:37Offense, everything's rolling.
00:56:38How do you prepare, though, for all these exotic blitzes that Brian Flores is going to bring to the table?
00:56:44And how much of an impact does that make on you as an offensive lineman?
00:56:48Yeah, I mean, it hurts the run game.
00:56:51And here's why I say that, because when you have a massive blitz playbook like Brian Flores does,
00:56:57the offense ends up spending 60%, 65%, 70% of their prep time looking at your blitz cutups
00:57:05and going through the walkthroughs and identifying it because there's nothing that coaches fear more than like a third and
00:57:1110 and getting smacked in the face with a blitz that you can't pick up.
00:57:15And so you're taking time because you only have so much time in practice.
00:57:18You're taking time away from your run fits and your nine on seven and your opportunity to work on that
00:57:25run game.
00:57:25And you're sliding it over and you're making the blitz period much longer.
00:57:29You're making the blitz walk through longer.
00:57:30You're spending way more time in the meeting room talking about blitzes with your third down running back than you
00:57:35are in first and second down in your base offense talking about your run game.
00:57:38And so your run game struggles because you just don't have as much time to work on it.
00:57:42And then when you get out there, the most important thing is identifying it, right?
00:57:47Even though Brian Flores does a great job masking what they're doing with coverage, like there's still tells when you
00:57:54look out there because the field is 53 and a third yards wide.
00:57:58And there's 11 guys on defense that have to cover that whole thing.
00:58:02And so if they see the safety that's just a yard off the hash mark, that's the giveaway for this
00:58:07blitz.
00:58:07The next one might be, well, the Sam linebacker, he's usually three yards by three yards.
00:58:13Well, now he's four yards by four yards.
00:58:15So he's an extra yard because he has to push and get to a spot in coverage.
00:58:18And so it's so important for your center.
00:58:21That's why you got smart guys like Kadic playing center because you need to be able to sit up there
00:58:26and you need to be the eyes for the quarterback.
00:58:28That guy, the quarterback, he's looking at everything and he's trying to figure out exactly what his receivers are looking
00:58:34at.
00:58:34And it's up to the center to be able to identify those blitzes, to be able to put the mic
00:58:39point to the right guy so that all five offensive linemen and a running back and maybe a tight end
00:58:44and definitely the quarterback are on the same page knowing, hey, we're going this way.
00:58:48We got this covered.
00:58:49If that dude over there comes quarterback, that one's on you.
00:58:52Jeremy just whispered in my ear.
00:58:54That's a good point.
00:58:55How was Kadic smart enough to make those calls?
00:58:58Wait, also, Joe, I played O-line, too.
00:59:01I played LSU.
00:59:02I played center.
00:59:03Okay, so it's not just this.
00:59:04Indiana sucked.
00:59:05I competed for championships.
00:59:08Indiana didn't do anything when he was there.
00:59:10I apologize, Joe.
00:59:11I'm sorry.
00:59:11It's a playoff team.
00:59:12I know.
00:59:12I'm sorry.
00:59:13I apologize, Joe.
00:59:14I'm sorry, dude.
00:59:14Come out to the farm.
00:59:16Yes, I want you so badly, Joe.
00:59:19If you snuggle up with me like Kadic did for an hour.
00:59:22I will go big spoon.
00:59:23I'm not scared to go big spoon.
00:59:24I will big spoon you.
00:59:25I'll little spoon you.
00:59:26I'll spoon you.
00:59:27He's not smart enough.
00:59:27He's not smart enough to be a farmhand.
00:59:29All right, what do you got there?
00:59:31Wait, Joe, I wanted to ask.
00:59:32I wanted to ask.
00:59:33My former teammate, Khalil Benson, made his first start on Monday Night Football at left tackle,
00:59:38a position that he didn't play since high school.
00:59:42What did you see from him that maybe you liked, didn't like?
00:59:46I mean, making his first start blindside of Patrick Mahomes in the NFL on Monday Night Football,
00:59:50it's got to be a little nerve-wracking.
00:59:54Yeah.
00:59:54I mean, even though Monday Night Football isn't the only standalone primetime game that the NFL plays anymore,
01:00:01it's still the big lights.
01:00:03It's still the big show.
01:00:04It's still the game that everybody watches, right?
01:00:06I remember being a kid, growing up as a Green Bay fan.
01:00:10The only time my parents let me stay up past 8 o'clock was to watch Monday Night Football.
01:00:14We didn't even watch TV.
01:00:16We weren't even like a big, hey, let's watch every football game family.
01:00:19But that's what you do.
01:00:20That's what America does.
01:00:21And so as a player, when you're playing in that Monday Night Spotlight, especially for the very first time,
01:00:26especially in a position that's got a lot of pressure and you haven't done it in a while,
01:00:29like you feel that.
01:00:31And I thought, considering the circumstances, he did a great job.
01:00:35Obviously, there's plenty of things that you have to improve on.
01:00:37Everybody's got things to improve, but I'm sure he's walking in this week super critical of himself, looking at ways
01:00:43to improve.
01:00:43But when you have that much pressure on you to be able to go out and perform the way he
01:00:47did, I think it's a great stepping stone for the future.
01:00:50And I'm excited to continue watching him.
01:00:52Awesome.
01:00:53Joe, you had – I saw a pretty heartbreaking clip from you the other day where you were talking about
01:01:00how – it might have been your 10th or 11th year in the NFL.
01:01:04And every year you're talking about how I convinced myself, like, we were going to be really good.
01:01:08We were going to win.
01:01:09This was going to be the year.
01:01:10And you essentially played a perfect game against the New England Patriots, right?
01:01:14And I think you ended up losing like 30-0.
01:01:17And you discussed kind of how much that messed with you.
01:01:20When you look at this year's Cleveland Browns team and it seems like it's all repeating itself, it's happening again,
01:01:28what would be your message to those guys on the team to try to keep their heads in it and
01:01:34to try to not give up, essentially?
01:01:37Good question.
01:01:39I think what you need to do is find little wins, right?
01:01:42Because the hardest thing – and what we fall into as fans, because we're allowed to, right, because it's not
01:01:48our job – is we look at the scoreboard and that's the ultimate test of success or failure, which it
01:01:53is.
01:01:54But as a player, you're 1-11th on offense or 1-11 on defense or 1-53 if you're just
01:02:01thinking about the whole team globally.
01:02:03Like, you can't worry about success or failure in your mind of the scoreboard because your team is just not
01:02:11set up to be a championship team.
01:02:12You're not going to win that many games, let's be honest.
01:02:15But to stay positive and optimistic, you get the most energy out of yourself, the most effort, the most attention
01:02:21to detail.
01:02:22So find those little wins when you're going into the game.
01:02:25Hey, what are the things we actually think we can accomplish?
01:02:27And it can be something so small as, like, I don't want to get hit with any of their top
01:02:31blitzes.
01:02:32Like, maybe they're a Sam Strong safety team.
01:02:34It's like, hey, we want to make sure we pick up every single one of those.
01:02:37That's a goal.
01:02:39What's another goal?
01:02:40We want to make sure that the running back gets at least to the line of scrimmage before he gets
01:02:43contact with him on every single play, right?
01:02:46So you make those little small measuring sticks throughout the game where, yes, okay, at the end of the game,
01:02:51did we win or lose?
01:02:52That's all that really matters.
01:02:53But how do you stay positive and optimistic in the midst of a difficult season?
01:02:57It's just finding those little victories and declaring them before you go into the game and then measuring yourself and
01:03:02your unit based on kind of those little victories that you've outlined and then trying to make those little improvements
01:03:08throughout the season so that you can look back in the middle of the season when you get to your
01:03:11body and say, hey, you know what?
01:03:13We're not winning a lot of games, but we're a lot better than we were there at the beginning of
01:03:16the season.
01:03:17And then by the end of the season, hopefully we're even twice as good as the improvement that we made
01:03:22in the first part of the season.
01:03:23And then at the end of the season, hopefully you can say, you know what?
01:03:26The season sucked.
01:03:27It was not fun.
01:03:28But look at all these victories we made and look at the foundation that we built.
01:03:32Hopefully we'll be able to have now a great draft because we've got a lot of big high draft picks.
01:03:37And we're going to add a lot of talent.
01:03:38And then you can convince yourself that we're heading in the right direction.
01:03:41We're making that progress that we need to be able to continue to keep guys together.
01:03:45I mean, that's a Hall of Fame process.
01:03:47Like, that's a process that I think anybody could apply to their life, no matter your job.
01:03:51And you're going to maximize your potential.
01:03:53Speaking of little victories, one of my favorite little victories, having a tasty steak.
01:03:58Okay?
01:03:59Shout out Hall of Fame Farms.
01:04:01We're talking steroid-free, pasture-raised, premium genetics, expertly crafted.
01:04:06Go to HalloffameFarms.com.
01:04:08Hall of Fame beef.
01:04:09Joe, thank you so much, man.
01:04:10Muscadet!
01:04:11I appreciate it.
01:04:12Thanks for being on.
01:04:13I'm looking forward to having all you guys at the farm we've got to do.
01:04:16I would love to come to the farm.
01:04:17We've got Barstool out there.
01:04:18We're delivering Chef Donnie some Hall of Fame Farms wagyu this week.
01:04:21So, don't let him keep all that for himself.
01:04:24Are there any beef sticks?
01:04:24Are there any beef sticks in there?
01:04:26Oh, yeah.
01:04:27Beef sticks.
01:04:27We've got the Hall of Fame.
01:04:28We've got the whole deal.
01:04:29Oh, dude loves meat.
01:04:32Joe, thank you so much, man.
01:04:34Thanks, guys.
01:04:34Have a great day.
01:04:37What's happening, y'all?
01:04:38Welcome back to Wake Up Barstool.
01:04:39Well, okay, it's my pleasure to welcome in one of my good friends.
01:04:44But for this week, one of my main enemies, and that is superstar comedian Heather McMahon.
01:04:52She's got her third Hulu special, Buy a Thread, coming up here in a few weeks.
01:04:58Heather, oh, and noted Ole Miss fans.
01:05:01She had a show last night.
01:05:02She slept in the Kiwan Lacy Trinidad Chambliss shirt.
01:05:05She's still got it on today.
01:05:07Heather, what's up, girl?
01:05:08How are we doing today?
01:05:09Hi, honey.
01:05:10I want you to know that I do love you, but this weekend we're at war, so it is what
01:05:14it is.
01:05:15Yes, to be clear, we've already set the stakes, okay?
01:05:19The loser of this game will have to dress like the other for one of their shows.
01:05:25I love it.
01:05:25So if Ole Miss wins, you can catch me in a dress, makeup, wig, the whole nine.
01:05:31And I imagine a fake beard may be in order for Heather, where is LSU, oh, sorry, win, LSU wins
01:05:38Saturday night, Heather.
01:05:39Okay, all right.
01:05:40Well, listen, I'm all about manifesting.
01:05:41I like that you're speaking that into existence for your team.
01:05:44But I just want you to know, T-Bob, that I feel very strongly that Ole Miss might come through
01:05:49with the win, all right?
01:05:51So I don't, you know, I didn't even want to do this this morning with you, because you're one of
01:05:55the people that I really love.
01:05:56I love your family.
01:05:57I love your mother.
01:05:58Your mother texted me and was like, you and T-Bob need to have some sort of thing together this
01:06:04weekend.
01:06:04You need to have some sort of bed.
01:06:04Yeah, she texted me the same thing.
01:06:06So let's actually, shout out, T-T.
01:06:07This is all my mom's convention here, the bed is.
01:06:11Okay, how about this, Heather?
01:06:11You're heading to Oxford.
01:06:13Yeah.
01:06:13You're heading to Oxford.
01:06:14You have a lot of experience in Oxford.
01:06:15What's it going to be like around campus this weekend?
01:06:18Oh, it's electric.
01:06:19I rolled in last night.
01:06:20I had a show up in the Delta.
01:06:22So I was up at Delta State last night.
01:06:23Rolled in around midnight into Oxford.
01:06:25It was incredible.
01:06:27I mean, the vibes are electric.
01:06:29We're also a little panicked, because Oxford's a very small town.
01:06:32So we're not as big as Baton Rouge.
01:06:34We're doing the best we can to hold it down.
01:06:37But the bars are packed.
01:06:39I will also be working security at the Library Sports Bar, which is the best bar in the SEC.
01:06:44And I will not be letting in LSU fans.
01:06:46So if you have on purple or gold, get to the back of the line.
01:06:50I'm sorry.
01:06:50You're not getting in.
01:06:51See, look.
01:06:52This is how salty these people are.
01:06:53They're not letting in.
01:06:54I love it.
01:06:54The student section came out and said, if you're wearing purple and gold, you're not
01:06:57allowing the student section.
01:06:58Get out.
01:06:59The library's banned.
01:07:00And people, doesn't the library close at midnight?
01:07:02You know what?
01:07:03Stop.
01:07:04Yeah.
01:07:04Yeah.
01:07:06Yeah.
01:07:06That's what I thought.
01:07:07That's what I thought, Heather.
01:07:09Hey, Fred's would never turn anyone away.
01:07:11Yeah.
01:07:11Fred's.
01:07:11Yeah.
01:07:12Fred's would never.
01:07:12Oh, Fred's.
01:07:13Yeah.
01:07:14You can get mono at Fred's.
01:07:16I don't want to hear it.
01:07:16Okay?
01:07:17I've had it.
01:07:18Heather, myself and Mike Kadick here are going to be heading to Oxford tonight.
01:07:22Yeah.
01:07:23Actually, tomorrow.
01:07:24And listen, I don't have a dog in a fight here.
01:07:27I'm a Northeast boy.
01:07:29I don't.
01:07:29To me, I don't care who wins.
01:07:32But I would like to pick a side.
01:07:34Tell me why it should be Ole Miss.
01:07:36Mm.
01:07:37Oh.
01:07:37Oh, wow.
01:07:38Okay.
01:07:38Here we go.
01:07:38I haven't even had coffee yet.
01:07:39And I'm a little hungover.
01:07:40All right.
01:07:41You should be Ole Miss just because Oxford's the greatest place on the planet.
01:07:45It's a wonderful place.
01:07:47Our team has triumphed through so much.
01:07:50And you know what?
01:07:51I feel like Lane Kiffin gaslit us.
01:07:53Okay?
01:07:54He's like a bad ex.
01:07:55And he gaslit us.
01:07:56And you should be on our side.
01:07:58I don't even know how to fight for this.
01:08:00Except when you come to Oxford, you will see the place and you'll go, yep, I get it.
01:08:04Yep.
01:08:04I'm dialed in.
01:08:05Hotty toddy.
01:08:06Just straight Trumpian logic.
01:08:10It's a wonderful place.
01:08:11The best place.
01:08:12Quite frankly, the best place I've ever been.
01:08:14Trust me, guys.
01:08:15It's tremendous.
01:08:15Honestly, Heather, I've known you for four minutes.
01:08:19I already like you more than T-Bob, so I think I'm going to be siding with you guys.
01:08:22Okay.
01:08:23Okay, make you.
01:08:23My only exposure to Ole Miss is through Ben Mintz.
01:08:27Oh, God.
01:08:28How proud are you to claim Ben Mintz as your most notable alumni?
01:08:32Is he our most notable alumni?
01:08:35I think so.
01:08:36Maybe y'all.
01:08:36I mean, Morgan Freeman is the guest speaker on game day.
01:08:40We have Heather here having a third Hulu special coming out.
01:08:43No, maybe Eli Manning.
01:08:45Like, we got a few good ones.
01:08:46Nope, it's Ben Mintz.
01:08:47I would say it's more a mascot than a notable alumni.
01:08:51Okay, mascot maybe makes a bit more sense.
01:08:53I love Mintz, but I did see a video today.
01:08:56Apparently, he didn't even get accommodations.
01:08:58Like, he doesn't have a hotel to stay in.
01:09:00No, he's getting a Super 8 with bed bugs.
01:09:02Oh, my God.
01:09:03What is wrong with him?
01:09:05He should know better.
01:09:06He stresses me out all the time, but I do love him, and he is a king on campus, and
01:09:11I hope to run into him.
01:09:13Heather, do you believe, because like you said, the identity, the self-worth post-breakup, it's all on the line.
01:09:23The bad guy broke up with you.
01:09:25You go with the nice guy in Pete Golding, and you have to, you know, damn it, it's going to
01:09:29work.
01:09:30Yeah.
01:09:30What if it doesn't?
01:09:31What if Lane Kiffin comes in and wins Saturday night?
01:09:34What's the fallout like?
01:09:36What's the fallout like?
01:09:37You know what?
01:09:38We're doing the best we can, T-Bob, okay?
01:09:40Yeah, my bad.
01:09:40What do you mean?
01:09:41What are we going to do?
01:09:42I still am on the Pete fleet.
01:09:43I ride hard for Pete.
01:09:45He looks eerily kind of like the Southern version of my husband.
01:09:48So I'm showing Pete my boobs regardless, okay?
01:09:52I love Pete.
01:09:55What do you want me to say, T-Bob?
01:09:57You know, all the LSU fans are DMing me right now.
01:09:59My phone's blowing up.
01:10:00Like, what do you want me to say?
01:10:01I'm out here doing the best I can for my team, and I feel confident.
01:10:04You're right.
01:10:05Can we see Jeff?
01:10:07Can we see Jeff?
01:10:08You mentioned Pete being your pseudo-husband.
01:10:13Yes.
01:10:13Hold on.
01:10:13Jeff, get back under the covers.
01:10:15Hold on.
01:10:16I want to see you.
01:10:17He just...
01:10:18He got up.
01:10:19He was naked.
01:10:19He's naked?
01:10:20Hold on.
01:10:21Okay, are you covered?
01:10:22All right, here's my husband.
01:10:23Let's go.
01:10:25Let's go, Jeff.
01:10:26Let's go, Jeff.
01:10:27Hey, I am also a nude sleeper, Jeff.
01:10:29Shout out, dude.
01:10:30Oh, yeah.
01:10:30We got to stick together, no matter what.
01:10:31We got to stick together, yeah.
01:10:32But he did, yeah.
01:10:33You do have to care for your bits.
01:10:35Thank you for doing that.
01:10:36Yeah.
01:10:37Heather, are you in...
01:10:38I know you're hosting the library.
01:10:40Are you MCing anything this weekend?
01:10:41Like, what are your plans?
01:10:43Where can everybody expect to see you, find you on campus and whatnot?
01:10:47I'm going to be face down, ass up in the Grove.
01:10:49So I'm very excited to be doing that.
01:10:52Might swing by...
01:10:53What are y'all, pushing Uncrustables on us?
01:10:55What are y'all doing this weekend?
01:10:56All right, great.
01:10:57I love Uncrustables.
01:10:58Come find us, please.
01:10:59I will.
01:10:59I'll come find you.
01:11:00Yes.
01:11:01And I will be running around, popping in and out of game day and all that.
01:11:05So I...
01:11:05Listen, I'm not the person to talk to about sports.
01:11:09I'm the person to talk to about passion and partying.
01:11:11And that's where I come in.
01:11:13And I'm going to be having a great time.
01:11:15And I'm showing a lot of...
01:11:16I've got a bunch of people coming in from up north.
01:11:18We've got a bunch of Yankees coming down.
01:11:20And I'm going to show them Oxford, Mississippi.
01:11:22And show them how great it is down here in the best place on the planet, which is Oxford.
01:11:27We've got to find Heather.
01:11:28Yeah, y'all got to...
01:11:29Please.
01:11:29Because also, these are big vibes, guys.
01:11:31Yeah, we are.
01:11:32Yeah, I'm vibes.
01:11:33I'm vibes.
01:11:33And I'll get you into the library.
01:11:34It's going to be impossible to get into.
01:11:36But because I run security, I got you.
01:11:38Oh, let's go, dude.
01:11:39This is all lining up to be an awesome...
01:11:41It's happening, guys.
01:11:42All right.
01:11:42You know what?
01:11:43No, I'm...
01:11:44You too?
01:11:45I'm on Rebels.
01:11:46Go Rebs.
01:11:47Go Rebs.
01:11:47Yes.
01:11:48Go Rebs.
01:11:49Go Rebs.
01:11:49I'm on the ring, Heather.
01:11:51Hotty, tight, baby.
01:11:52Hell, yeah.
01:11:53Damn right.
01:11:54Hell, yeah.
01:11:57Like, attention and love, and I'm in.
01:11:59Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:11:59That's all I need.
01:12:00I hope Mintz gives all three of you a bedbugs.
01:12:01God forbid I get you into Denny Bryant and give you my tickets, you know?
01:12:04No big deal.
01:12:05Yeah, yeah.
01:12:06Way to go.
01:12:06Let you rush the field.
01:12:08We are on to new things here.
01:12:10Again, I hope you all get bedbugs.
01:12:12That was last year.
01:12:14Heather, you're the best.
01:12:15I don't want Jeff to get bedbugs.
01:12:17No, no, no.
01:12:17But you three, yes.
01:12:19Heather, you're the best.
01:12:20Thank you so much.
01:12:21New special by Thread coming out on Hulu next month.
01:12:25Go check it out.
01:12:26And good luck tomorrow.
01:12:28I hope you lose.
01:12:30I hope you have to wear a beard on your show.
01:12:32But, you know, we'll see what happens.
01:12:35Go Rebs, Heather.
01:12:36I'm going to find you this weekend.
01:12:38I'll find you this weekend.
01:12:39I won't look the same.
01:12:40Trust me.
01:12:41I got to put on the dog.
01:12:42You look fantastic.
01:12:43You look fantastic.
01:12:44I'll see you in the Grove and throw me an Uncrustable.
01:12:47And, hey, hottie, toddie.
01:12:48Let's go.
01:12:49There we go.
01:12:50Heather McMahon, absolute legend.
01:12:52Ole Miss legend.
01:12:53We'll see what ends up happening Saturday.
01:12:55All right, coming up next, guys, let's close out the show.
01:12:58A little TBH with TBH.
01:12:59And looking at this football weekend as a whole.
01:13:03Let's check out the weekend slate.
01:13:05Oh, I can only imagine what this is going to be.
01:13:09What's happening, y'all?
01:13:11It's time for TBH with TBH.
01:13:13And, look, we're keeping a little off the cuff this week because I'm getting a little angry.
01:13:17And I'm not just angry at these two yokels for all of a sudden wishy-washy siding with Ole Miss.
01:13:23Hey, get off your phone, Mikey.
01:13:25We're doing a show.
01:13:26What, are you just looking at Snapchat?
01:13:28Come on.
01:13:29Grow up.
01:13:30He was writing in his notes app.
01:13:31He said, I'm so excited to see what T-Bob has to say on TBH.
01:13:34And I'm so excited to.
01:13:35That's a lie.
01:13:36He was showing me.
01:13:37And I literally said, I'm so excited to root for the Rebs.
01:13:40He said, I'm so excited to see what T-Bob has to say on TBH.
01:13:43Yeah, yeah, exactly.
01:13:43He's excited to root for the Rebs.
01:13:45Traitor.
01:13:45But you know what?
01:13:46That's fine because I got some energy for your Indiana ass coming up here.
01:13:49Oh, I'm sure, dude.
01:13:49Because look at this weekend of college football.
01:13:52Rent-free.
01:13:53The slate is an absolute, inexcusable, unforgivable joke.
01:13:59This is the best of the best of what we're getting in a multi-billion dollar sport.
01:14:06And I get it, man.
01:14:07Everybody's like, oh, well, you know, the playoff doesn't incentivize this.
01:14:11The playoff doesn't incentivize that.
01:14:12If you go to 24 teams, then we'll do it.
01:14:14How about this?
01:14:15You get paid millions of dollars to win football games, okay?
01:14:21What do you preach to your players?
01:14:23Play hard.
01:14:24Do tough things.
01:14:26Accept challenges.
01:14:27Spot the ball.
01:14:28We'll play anyone, anytime, anywhere, except that we won't.
01:14:32Because everything in scheduling nowadays appears to be, let's make it as easy as possible
01:14:38so we can just craft our little 10-2 record and try to get to the playoff.
01:14:43And I know why you're snoring.
01:14:44You know why?
01:14:44Me thinks the lady don't protest too much.
01:14:47Who set the tone for this, Mikey?
01:14:50Oh, big bad Kurt Cignetti.
01:14:53Kurt Cignetti, we don't do things like that here in the Midwest.
01:14:56We do it the hard way.
01:14:58Whatever he says.
01:14:59That's not Pittsburgh.
01:14:59I don't care.
01:15:00The point is, get out of here, Cignetti.
01:15:03You're talking about doing things the hard way?
01:15:05Okay.
01:15:06Okay, let's look.
01:15:07Who have y'all played?
01:15:08North Texas.
01:15:10Howard.
01:15:11Western Kentucky.
01:15:12Who did you cancel series with?
01:15:15Virginia.
01:15:16Virginia was too tough for you?
01:15:17You had to get rid of Virginia?
01:15:19Hey, Chief.
01:15:19Find a new slant.
01:15:20Steve, you're an Irish fan.
01:15:22Yeah.
01:15:22You'd probably love it if Notre Dame and Indiana would go toe-to-toe.
01:15:26We had the schedule.
01:15:27It was on the schedule.
01:15:28It was on the schedule.
01:15:29And then Cignetti canceled it.
01:15:31Oh, we do things the hard way.
01:15:33Find a new slant.
01:15:34Yeah.
01:15:34Yeah.
01:15:34SEC hasn't won anything, anything, in three years.
01:15:38You guys can play whoever you want.
01:15:40At the end of the year, you guys are not going to win because you're hypothetical soft losers.
01:15:46I want to be clear.
01:15:47That's all you guys are.
01:15:48I want to be clear about this.
01:15:50This is not a Big Ten issue.
01:15:52This is the Big Ten's garbage weekend, but the SEC's garbage weekend is coming up.
01:15:57It'll be more Thanksgiving.
01:15:58It's going to be pathetic.
01:15:59Everybody's going to be furious.
01:16:00That's worse.
01:16:00We have rival.
01:16:01Yeah.
01:16:01That's worse?
01:16:02Have you seen the Big Ten slate this weekend?
01:16:04When you play Alcorn State before the Iron Bowl?
01:16:10Yeah, wow.
01:16:11That's so cool.
01:16:12You'd suck all the life out of the whole schedule.
01:16:15Let's sneak in another bye week.
01:16:16Oh, my God, dude.
01:16:16We're so soft in our schedule.
01:16:17My schedule's so hard.
01:16:19Let's sneak in another bye week at the end of the season.
01:16:23The SEC.
01:16:24The Big Ten lives rent free in my head.
01:16:27Again, again, actually, I'm not having this argument.
01:16:29Alabama plays Chattanooga.
01:16:31I think the Big Ten's cowards.
01:16:33Week 11, they play Chattanooga.
01:16:35I think the SEC are cowards.
01:16:37I think Kurt Cignetti is a coward, and it sucks because no man considers a course.
01:16:43No man considers a course based for himself.
01:16:46Big Bad Wolf.
01:16:47Which has proven profitable to others.
01:16:49And now that Kurt Cignetti had success with his weak-ass schedule, everybody's tucking
01:16:54their tail, and they're going to do the exact same thing.
01:16:56And it makes me so mad because, again, these guys get paid so much money.
01:17:00And who are these games for?
01:17:02They're not for the players.
01:17:04It's an exercise of futility.
01:17:05It does nothing for you.
01:17:06You might as well be going through the motions.
01:17:08It's a dress rehearsal.
01:17:09It's not for the fans.
01:17:11Nobody gives a damn.
01:17:12Nobody wants to watch on TV.
01:17:13Nobody wants to go to the game.
01:17:14It's not for the TV executives who pay billions of dollars for these contracts.
01:17:19You know who it's for?
01:17:20The coaches who get paid millions of dollars and just want to stack automatic wins so that
01:17:25they can keep their jobs.
01:17:26I think if you can't win hard games, you don't deserve the job.
01:17:30You get paid to do hard things.
01:17:33Okay?
01:17:34So I get it.
01:17:35Football's hard.
01:17:36Life is hard.
01:17:37These conferences are hard.
01:17:38Don't make excuses.
01:17:39Do hard things.
01:17:40So I don't care if it's the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12.
01:17:44It needs to end.
01:17:47Okay?
01:17:47If we're going to keep paying more money for season tickets, if all of our cable bills
01:17:52are going to go up because these TV contracts are so huge, I demand some return.
01:17:57I demand that you drop your nuts and play somebody.
01:18:02Thank God for LSU.
01:18:03You know what I'm saying, Maggie?
01:18:04Yeah, I know what you're saying.
01:18:05A little top ten matchup in Oxford?
01:18:07A little top ten.
01:18:08What?
01:18:08What is that, cute guy?
01:18:10What is that, cute guy?
01:18:11I said, this guy's a fat loser.
01:18:13Okay.
01:18:14Okay.
01:18:15Bring up the Indiana schedule.
01:18:17Because just now when I said LSU will miss, producer says in my ear, oh, that's a conference
01:18:24game.
01:18:24That's a cop out.
01:18:24Bring up the Indiana schedule.
01:18:26Because this is the other point here.
01:18:28Gauntlet.
01:18:29Mikey, fat guys like us.
01:18:31Fat guys like us.
01:18:32What do we got?
01:18:3370 years on this earth?
01:18:3468?
01:18:35We're big, right?
01:18:36We're going to die.
01:18:37Yeah, for sure.
01:18:38Are you happy that one of those precious years, this is what you have to watch the first
01:18:43five games of your season?
01:18:45That's half of a football season wasted on garbage.
01:18:48And you're like, oh, well, T-Bob, you can't judge them for Northwestern and Rutgers, right?
01:18:51But that's kind of the freaking point.
01:18:54The conferences are not good top to bottom.
01:18:56Good games.
01:18:57There are bad conference teams.
01:18:58So why not challenge yourself and put more good games on the schedule and prove to be a
01:19:03good team?
01:19:03Because if you want to win championships, you've got to be a good team.
01:19:05Well, here's my thing, T-Bob.
01:19:07Here's my thing, T-Bob.
01:19:08Yes.
01:19:09You say, you know, we're going to die eventually.
01:19:11Like, we've got to cherish these games.
01:19:13I got to cherish three extra games last year, and we won the national championship.
01:19:19So those three carry over to this year, and...
01:19:23Boy math.
01:19:24Yeah, boy math.
01:19:24You guys didn't get those extra games because you guys were terrible last year, and the SEC
01:19:29is terrible as a whole.
01:19:31Yeah.
01:19:31So, you know, being an Indiana fan, we got to see three extra games.
01:19:36Are you done with the word salad?
01:19:37Are you done?
01:19:37Are you done?
01:19:38Of good football.
01:19:39Are you done?
01:19:40Are you done justifying your coach's softness?
01:19:43You're the red free in your head.
01:19:44You know what is awesome, though?
01:19:44You mean the best coach in the country?
01:19:46Bang!
01:19:47The NFL slate, dude.
01:19:48Look at this right here.
01:19:49Let's go.
01:19:50This is how it's done, boys.
01:19:52That's why the NFL's king.
01:19:53And if you want to challenge a throw in college football, you got to take some notes.
01:19:58Go Rebs!
01:19:59Shout out the Young Station.
01:20:00Damn right!
01:20:02Hell yeah!
01:20:03Hardy, tawny, gops from Hardy, that's right to me!
01:20:06Whoa!
01:20:07That was pretty close.
01:20:08That was it.
01:20:09That was pretty close.
01:20:10On beat.
01:20:11Who the hell right?
01:20:13That's right.
01:20:14Hey!
01:20:15Oh my God!
01:20:16Oh!
01:20:18Sucked up!
01:20:19Just kidding.
01:20:19Never have a great weekend.
01:20:20We'll see you on Monday, guys.
01:20:32We'll see you on Monday, guys.
