01:30And I know that Mets players were not happy that Pete Alonzo, and they love him,
01:35and they made sure to stress this, that he was getting cheered, and he was getting, you know,
01:40the ovations, and they were chanting his name, and Fire Stearns, and you see all the signs.
01:45I know the Mets players themselves weren't happy.
01:48I hear it.
01:50I don't care.
01:51How about Alonzo, when he chucked his bat?
01:53That wasn't just a bat flip.
01:55That was a bat chuck.
01:57Like a sphere, baby.
01:59That was unbelievable.

02:04It was like he was throwing it right at David Stern's face.

03:08And I want to stress that because there were Yankees fans, like me, who wanted Pete Alonzo on the Yankees.

03:19Man, I'm so happy for Alonzo.
03:21And I love the fact that, you know, they returned the baseball Mets fans.
03:24And he offered these Mets fans, you know, Orioles tickets.
03:28And said, we could be your second favorite team.
03:31And I'm just so happy for Pete.
03:33And honestly, David Stearns looks like a horse's derriere.
03:38There's no other way to phrase it.
03:39Not only did he take as popular a player as any.
03:44And I don't care what his damn computer says, what the analytics say.
03:48He hits his best, plays his best when it matters the most, right?
03:52And Alonzo is phenomenal, fan favorite, hits all these bombs.
03:57And not only do you let him go, you didn't even replace him.
04:01That was a disgrace.
04:03I mean, a disgrace.
04:05And we talked about this in real time.
04:07And, you know, the Orioles gave him five years, 155 mil.
04:11And then, of course, you had Steve Cohen.
04:13And I actually don't blame Steve Cohen here.

04:19But then you have Steve Cohen saying, well, you know, Alonzo, this is your home, right?
04:25I mean, listen, of course it's his home.
04:28And this, he should have never left his home.
04:31They should have never thrown him out of his home.

04:34I mean, Pete Alonzo loved being a Met, loved New York.

05:54I hope David Stearns had the worst possible day yesterday because he ruined everything for Alonzo,
06:01for Alonzo's family, for the Mets fans, for the Mets season, and somehow he's Teflon.

07:06So Manning is referring to the AI videos that were created in the wake of Steve Sarkeesian's
07:10viral moment blowing off Holly Rowe for the post-game interview on Saturday.
07:14Now, that comment from Arch laughing about one such video depicting violence against a
07:20woman, well, obviously it was not well received.
07:25And this led to an apology from Manning yesterday.
07:28In my press conference yesterday, I made an insensitive comment about an AI video.
07:32There's nothing funny about it.
07:33It's easy to say it and mean it, but I know my words and actions hurtful to a lot of
07:38people.
07:39I do not take them lightly.
07:40For that, I am deeply sorry.
07:41I want to apologize specifically to Holly Rowe for what she has personally had to deal
07:45with because of my comments.
07:47I have a ton of respect for her and appreciate her showing me grace in this moment.
07:51I need to do better and will be more thoughtful moving forward.
07:57So, a couple of things.
07:59You should never laugh, ever.
08:02There's nothing funny about any video that shows a man hitting a woman.
08:08There's a period at the end of that sentence.
08:10I don't think Arch, in any way, shape, or form, was promoting violence against women.

09:16Then they have his majestic comeback and he's waiting for another interview to get completed.

10:44Now, Steve Sarkisian, in his finest moments, needs to be able to handle winning.
10:50Back on the field, reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III was dominant in his Chiefs debut on Monday night
10:56to the tune of nearly 200 total yards and a couple of scores.
11:00Here's some of what he had to say after the win.
11:02I mean, even when I first came in here, OTAs, training camp, everything,
11:06meeting Pat and Trav and all those guys, Nick, like the leaders on the team,
11:11the way they carry themselves on and off the field, that was surprising to see
11:14because these guys are successful on the field.
11:15But the way they carry themselves off the field is more impressive.
11:18So it definitely was.
11:20But they accepted me with open arms, and, you know, I appreciate them for that.
11:23So I think this was a monster deal, what Kenneth Walker was able to do.
11:27And listen, I think if you start asking aloud, did we underestimate the Chiefs?
11:33I think it's a layered conversation here.
11:36First and foremost, Kenneth Walker III is one of my favorite running backs in the league.
11:40I was obsessed with this signing in every possible way.
11:42You know that.
11:43We talked about that on Shine Time right after he signed.
11:47This guy, Super Bowl MVP.
11:49I loved him in Seattle.
11:51I always used to quip, I think I like him more in Seattle than Seattle likes him in Seattle.
11:55You know, they were platooning him with Charbonnet.
11:57I wanted even more touches for Kenneth Walker III.
12:00Listen, John Schneider, the great GM, said we're not going to pay him.
12:04Not in a bad way.
12:05He's always going to be entrenched.
12:06He's a legend.
12:07They have Charbonnet.
12:08He's hurt.
12:08They draft price in the first round.
12:10Seattle's going to be just fine.
12:12Meanwhile, from a Chiefs perspective, you saw the numbers and nuggets of domination there.
12:16How about all the runs where he was just absolutely bulldozing cats, shredding tackles?
12:23And this is against the Denver Broncos.
12:25I mean, this is a perfect image right here in terms of what the Chiefs were able to do against
12:30this defense.
12:31I mean, just absolutely just took it to him.
12:34Andy Reid's team had it going on.
12:36Kenneth Walker just escaping tackles left and right.
12:39And Kenneth Walker III, to me, is a tremendous, tremendous runner who changes everything for the Chiefs.
12:46But this is why.
12:48And I expect them to go 2-0.
12:50They have the gift of the schedule.
12:51They have the Indianapolis Colts coming up on Sunday night.
12:55I really think that when it's all said and done, this is still team 6-9 in the AFC.
13:04Now, there's a real shot after they beat the Broncos that they can start the season 4-0.
13:10That would be my prediction.
13:11Are they going to win against the Chargers, the Seahawks, Denver in Denver?
13:17There's going to be a tough sequence when you look at road games against Buffalo and the Rams and the
13:23Cincinnati Bengals.
13:25Obviously, you've got that stretch there with the Patriots and especially San Francisco and then the Chargers.
13:31So, I don't think after the game last night, we underestimated the Chiefs.
13:37This is kind of what I thought.
13:40Now, I was dead wrong on the game prediction.
13:42I thought Denver was going to win that game.
13:45And I thought Denver was going to win by double digits.
13:47And frankly, to take you another step, I was dead wrong on how I thought they were going to win.
13:52I thought Denver was going to do it on defense.
13:54At the end of the day, Kenneth Walker added so much pop and sizzle.
13:58Patrick Mahomes was solid.
14:01And I don't mean that in a bad way, right?
14:03It wasn't an eye-popping game, a couple of big plays, threw out a great connection with Travis Kelsey, Taylor
14:08Swift's going nuts.
14:09You love to see that.
14:11Listen, I mean, Patrick Mahomes looked like a guy who was coming back from a major injury and a grueling
14:17rehab.
14:17And that was the case.
14:19So, listen, I still think the Chiefs are going to be exactly what we thought before the season.
14:25I picked them as Team 9 in the AFC.
14:28I said their upside is to make the playoffs.
14:30Now, I do think the Chargers obviously have some monster problems.
14:35We talked about that earlier in the week.
14:37The Broncos looked atrocious on Monday night.
14:41Bo Nix, coming off of his injury, he looked terrible.
14:44The defense stunningly looked awful.
14:47And the play calling from Davis Webb was the theater of the absurd.
14:51And honestly, I can't listen to Sean Payton this entire year talk about,
14:55well, Davis Webb should have done this, that, or the other.
14:57Sean, and I love you, you're one of the best play callers in the history of the NFL.
15:02If you don't think Davis Webb is doing it, call the plays.
15:06Take over.
15:07Take over this week.
15:08You got a huge game coming up against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
15:11But this all relates here when it comes to underestimating the Chiefs.
15:15If the Broncos have problems, if the Chargers have problems, look, the Chiefs might be able
15:22to win the division, which again is not anything crazy or off the beaten path when it comes
15:28to my preseason expectations.
15:30Now, I don't think if you're a Bengals fan or a Bills fan or a Ravens fan with one of
15:38those
15:39big-time quarterbacks with Burrow and Jackson and Allen, you're saying,
15:43ooh, I'm scared of Big Bad Mahomes.
15:46I don't think that at all.
15:47So I'm staying very consistent here.
15:51I'm giving credit.
15:52I acknowledge Kansas City, like I did preseason, even though I didn't pick them, can make the
15:58playoffs, can win the division.
16:00Did I underestimate the Chiefs?
16:01I was dead wrong on Monday.
16:03But the answer to this question?

27:38Phenomenal week one in the NFL, but only five players, coaches, can become my guys.
27:45Let's start in reverse order.
27:46Number five, my guy, Justin Jefferson.
27:49How about my guy, Justin Jefferson?
27:50My guy, Justin Jefferson, last year, two total touchdowns.
27:55Wasted away by J.J. McCarthy and just an atrocious performance on offense and quarterback play all year long.
28:03Two total touchdowns last year and then week one, two touchdowns from my guy, Justin Jefferson.
28:09Listen, there's a reason we started him in Daily Fantasy.
28:14Would have actually won if Kyler Martin got hurt, but I digress on that.
28:18Eight catches, two receiving touchdowns, 92 yards.
28:22It was so great to have my guy, Justin Jefferson, back in the action.

28:59And before anyone tells me, monster debut for this season, out on the heels of what transpired last year for

29:05where he struggled, the defense was awful, obviously he was not vintage.
29:10Before anyone says, well, how could T.J. Watt be your guy when he's facing Cooper Rush?
29:15Do you remember last year, who the Pittsburgh Steelers played week one of the season?
29:20Justin Fields, who torched them.
29:23So let me tell you something.
29:24My guy, T.J. Watt, had the pick six, which was unbelievable.
29:27That was my singular favorite moment from any player all week one long.
29:31Then you saw the four tackles.
29:33You saw the two sacks.
29:34This was an incredible, dominant performance by a guy that I still absolutely considered to be.
29:40One of the elite defensive players in the National Football League.
29:44I loved it.
29:45I was obsessed with it.
29:46I couldn't get enough.
29:47This is part of the reason why I think the Pittsburgh Steelers will make the playoffs this year,
29:51win a playoff game for the first time.
29:53You realize T.J. Watt has never won a playoff game?
29:54They also had a calculated offseason.
29:57They got our guy, Patrick Graham, to run the defense.
30:00They had really good, under-the-radar, solid moves on defense to make the entire defense better.
30:05This is another reason why I think the Steelers are going to beat the New England Patriots.
30:09My guy, T.J. Watt.
30:11How about number three?
30:11My guy, Derek Hendrick.
30:13I mean, he's running right into the Hall of Fame.
30:15Derek Henry was unbelievable.
30:19Lamar Jackson rightly gets the headlines.
30:21And Lamar Jackson and Declan Doyle's offense, we talked about it on Monday.
30:25It's obviously always Lamar Jackson's time to shine.
30:29How about what Lamar told us on our SiriusXM radio show?
30:31He said, Mr. Adam, don't tell anyone, but Derek Henry is going to rush for 2,000 yards this year.
30:36I mean, how about the way Henry was able to power his way to domination against the Indianapolis Colts?
30:43144 yards, three rushing touchdowns.
30:47Whenever he retires and he's not even close, we will see King Henry in Canton.
30:52My guy, Derek Henry.
30:54How about number two, my guy, Josh Allen?
30:57Houston has always been a house of horrors.
31:01The kryptonite for Superman.
31:03And for Josh Allen to step up and step in to Houston and play his best when it mattered the
31:09most,
31:10four total touchdowns.
31:11That missile to Joshua Palmer, back of the end zone, on third and 11.
31:17And I want to stress, he previously never won in Houston on four tries.
31:21Got sacked last year in Houston against that great defense eight different times.
31:26And look at the numbers.
31:27Look at the highlight there.
31:29Seventh career game, 300 or more passing touchdowns, two or more passing touchdowns.
31:34Passing yards, 300 or more passing touchdowns, two or more rushing touchdowns.
31:38I mean, it's an NFL record.
31:40He did not have an interception.
31:42Yes, he was lucky with Lasseter.
31:43But then, bam!
31:44You know what happens?
31:45If you're Tom Brady or Derek Jeter, someone gives Jalen Brunson,
31:51someone gives you an opportunity for a mulligan, a little luck,
31:54you find a way to take advantage.
31:56Another example, signed from the sports gods on the universe.
32:00This year, it's different when it's all said and done.
32:04It is going to be really different here for our guy, my guy, Josh Allen.

32:16And my number one guy from week one in the NFL, Mike LaFleur.
32:20I mean, let's give this guy credit.
32:22Not only does he have unbelievable hair, he was a nine and a half point dog against the Chargers.
32:28Obviously, the headline from the game, of course, is the Chargers lose and fold the franchise
32:34and send them into the Pacific and move back to San Diego.
32:37Let's give our guy, Mike LaFleur, all the credit in the world,
32:40especially considering his brother embarrassed himself with the way he coached against the Minnesota Vikings.
32:46Mike LaFleur has been in the league for a long time as an assistant coach.
32:50The Arizona Cardinals do not have requisite talent.
32:53He got this team ready to play.
32:55I gave them no chance in this game, and I can't get enough of what he was able to accomplish.
33:02A tremendous job by our guy, Mike LaFleur.
33:07Coming up, will the Rays ever stop winning and allow the Yankees to gain some ground?

33:23Junior Cameron Arrow had a walk-off home run last night in Tampa
33:26to take the first of a three-game set with the Ace,
33:30essentially negating my Yankees getting an 8-1 win over the Twins.
33:33The Yankees have been on a tear over the last couple of weeks,
33:368-2 record in their last 10 games,
33:39going into action this afternoon against Minnesota.
33:41But the Rays have also been 8-2 in their last 10.
33:46This is all leading up to that four-game showdown in the Bronx
33:51coming up next week between these two teams.
33:56But will the Yankees even be close enough to overtake the division
34:00and the lead with a sweep?
34:02And listen, I think the Yankees right now,
34:06if you're a Yankee fan like me,
34:07they are playing lights-out baseball.
34:10Absolutely, positively sensational baseball.
34:13But the way the Rays are going,
34:15it's, you gotta give them credit.
34:18And I still think the Rays are vulnerable,
34:21and I still don't think they're that good,
34:24which leads me to this, the AL MVP.
34:27Because it seemed for a while now,
34:30like it was a foregone conclusion
34:33that Jordan Alvarez was ultimately going to be the MVP.
34:37And it was over.
34:40And he is a monster-heavy favorite.
34:44There are some Yankees fans, I am not one of them,
34:48who believe Cam Schlittler should be the American League MVP.
34:51I think Cam Schlittler should absolutely be the Cy Young.
34:55And there have been good candidates
34:56throughout the course of the year,
34:57Dylan Cease, Sonny Gray, Schlittler.
34:59I actually think for Cy Young, it's over.
35:02Congrats to Cam Schlittler on being the Cy Young.
35:05He's been dominant and also tough and clutch
35:08for a terrific baseball team.
35:09He has been the best pitcher,
35:11most dominant pitcher in the American League.
35:14If the Astros do not make the playoffs,
35:19you can't give the MVP to Jordan Alvarez.
35:22Because as we have this Yankees-Rays discussion,
35:27I think at the end of the day,
35:29and we all ask ourselves,
35:31how are the Rays doing it?
35:34And yes, their rotation is solid.
35:35The answer is Junior Caminero.
35:37This is the second time in four days
35:39he was able to hit a walk-off home run.
35:41Look at his numbers.
35:42You know, 40-plus homers, 100 RBI.
35:45He is the best player, bar none, without question,
35:48and the definition of value.
35:51So I would make the case that Junior
35:54should absolutely be the MVP.
35:56Because I still can't wait to pick against the Rays
36:00in the playoffs.
36:00I still think the Yankees will beat them
36:02in the playoffs.
36:03But in terms of regular season,
36:05who's at their best,
36:07what matters the most,
36:08carrying a team to victory?
36:10Honestly, I think that our guy,
36:11Junior Caminero,
36:12absolutely deserves to be the MVP.
36:15I don't think that there is any question about it.
36:18But wait, there's more.
36:26Every year around this time,
36:28we have a lot of haters out there
36:29ripping Major League Baseball teams
36:31for celebrating and validating
36:34after clinching a spot in the playoffs.
36:36And, you know, it drives me absolutely nuts.
36:39I have to tell you,
36:41I am so sick and tired of the fuddy-duddies,
36:44the Twitter tough guys,
36:46the media elites,
36:48saying, don't pop the champagne.
36:50Look, the Yankees have bigger fish to fry.
36:54Obviously.
36:55The Yankees will be judged
36:57by whether or not they get to the World Series
37:00and take advantage at the end of the day
37:02of this weird and weak
37:04and wide-open American League.
37:07Baseball is a marathon.
37:09It's a grind.
37:10You get to pitchers and catchers
37:14and spring training in early February.
37:17It's earlier than ever.
37:18The season starts in March.
37:20You train your ass off.
37:23You're with these guys in the clubhouse
37:25all season long.
37:27Blood, sweat, and tears.
37:29The Yankees, by the way,
37:30have had to play the vast majority
37:32of the regular season
37:33without Aaron Judge.
37:35You make the playoffs.
37:37You know, worst-case scenario,
37:39you have the second-best record
37:41in the American League.
37:43Celebrate.
37:45Validate.
37:45And then keep that singular focus,
37:48the eye on the prize,
37:49on getting to the World Series
37:51and winning another one,
37:52which has not happened since 2009
37:54if you're the New York Yankees.
37:56It drives me nuts.
37:57And every team is different.
37:58Every year is different.
38:00But when it comes to baseball,
38:02always pop the champagne.
38:03Have a T-shirt and hat celebration.
38:06It matters to these players.
38:09Six teams in each league
38:10make the postseason.
38:11The rest go home
38:12and they're miserable.
38:13No one is defining the Yankees' season
38:15as a success
38:17if they lose in the wildcard round.
38:19You want to celebrate
38:20for making the playoffs?
38:22Yes, please, thank you.
