00:23Deshaun had a bad interception at the beginning of the game.

00:28And then the game had gotten away from them.
00:30I don't think Deshaun played well.

00:33I also think that game got away from the Browns so freaking quickly
00:37that I don't know that you can do a thorough evaluation
00:40of where he is as a quarterback right now.

00:48you're going to make a sweeping judgment on Deshaun Watson based on that.

07:09And when I'm hearing him, and when he's saying that the sacks were given up, that the time

07:18And, yeah, you could try to say, well, the rookies are rookies, and maybe they're not

07:21He's never seen the field with us from day one.
07:24But he hasn't.
07:25He never saw the field like he did in his early days in Houston when he was just playing
07:29and stuff wasn't bogging him down.
07:31I mean, he's just not the same player.
07:33And he hasn't been for years.
07:35And the only thing that will ever change any of this is performance.

07:43Like, Brian Rocchio has a great performance.

08:12But when it comes to Deshaun Watson, no, there's no quarter.
08:16There's no, he was, there was no, he was brought up in our system.

08:23It was a cold calculated business decision.
08:25Like, because you go back and look, we're the first team out.
08:27Why did he pick Cleveland?
08:28Money, guaranteed money, and that's it, and that's all, and that's the only reason he

08:35And then when he comes here for only money, and he seemed like he never, ever wanted to
08:39be here, and the only reason he is here is because he's getting paid to be, where fans
08:42have made their lives here, and then you try to sit there and tell me to have some sort
08:47of sympathy for him.
08:48I'm sorry, but if you live on 130th Street on the west side or east side, you're going
08:51to tell me to cram it with walnuts.
08:52Because I don't need to have any sympathy there.

09:09Because what had happened was, is exactly what a lot of people thought was going to

09:14What the lock and four, and everybody said like, hey, what if he's bad?
09:18Yeah, I know he's been good, but just in case, what if he's bad?
09:20And he's been bad, and fans have felt that way.
09:23If you make a business decision, and you don't hold up your end of the bargain, your
09:27business partner, the Browns, Browns fans, are going to be very upset about that.
09:32So when you go out there, and a year that, yeah, a lot of people know that they're not
09:35going to be that good, and you have a backup quarterback that is, even if you don't like
09:41him, you're curious.
09:42But as a very popular guy around the country, yeah, fans are going to be really critical
09:46of you.
09:47They're going to be really, really, really critical of you.
09:49Yeah, that disdain, yeah, he can hate the Browns fans.
09:51They hate him back.
09:52It goes both ways.
09:54It's very rare that you see something like this in sports.
09:57And that's why I think at this point, it would almost take a miracle for him to start
10:01week three and come out of that locker room at home in front of that crowd.

10:11It's always stuck out to me, and I think it should stick out to Browns fans, that when
10:15you've had those comments that happen in the preseason, there have been other position
10:20players, former players, that have spoken, said, and kind of defended him.

10:26So many of them are just like, yeah, that's your job.
10:29You're going to deal with that.
10:30When Brady Quinn came on the show, a guy who was booed by those same fans, and was like,
10:35yeah, I have absolutely no sympathy.
10:38He reacted the wrong way.
10:39That's your job as a quarterback.
10:41I go, well, I brought in a former Cleveland Brown who was booed at home, and that guy
10:46had no sympathy.
10:47How are you supposed to draw any there?
10:49It ain't going to happen.
10:50I mean, they told you at the outset of this, this is why I couldn't go over five wins.
10:55I told you at the outset of this season what it's going to be.
10:57And you just are coming off a lost generation.
11:00If you would have stayed the course, say you would have stayed the course, and you would
11:04have just made the playoffs a couple of times more than what you did, I think fans would
11:09be a little bit more understanding.
11:11But when you have been, before you were bad, these last five, six years, you were a disappointment
11:19because you saw glimpses of what could have been.
11:22When Joe Flacco takes you to the playoffs, it's like, man, there's good football players
11:25on this team.
11:26In 2019, when they fell apart, there were real good football players on that team.
11:30That team could have done something.
11:32Okay?
11:33You sat through 2016 and 17, won one game during that time.
11:37We celebrated with victory fridges that we still own for crying out loud.
11:40And you watched an entire generation of football players be drafted to this football team and
11:45retire or be released on this football team.
11:48And you only had a couple of playoff appearances out of that.
11:51You had one of the greatest moments that I've ever seen as a Browns fan in winning a playoff
11:55game in Pittsburgh, and that's just gone by the wayside.
11:58You've made them mad again.
11:59You've shown Browns fans what possibilities are.
12:03And now that's all gone.
12:04Yeah, Mike Tomlin saying the Browns are the Browns over the weekend on national television.
12:08They don't trust you.
12:09So it's not that they're, it's not, if they don't care and they're quiet, that's one thing.

12:15And they really have every right to be.

12:46he says it's above his pay grade and you go, Oh, is he just a spokesman for the entire
