00:25than welcome. As many of you will know Duke is not fond of moving about so we respect that
00:32and we just leave him be. Karn you ready? Cool and as always I have George, Magic George and he's

00:44with me to help me. As ever I do need help and yeah there's no one better equipped to do

02:33It is that time of the year again. Bobcat's really excited. It's that time of the year again
02:39where we are running the annual Good Good Giving competition. It's good in so many ways because your

03:44What do you think about that my boy? Yeah. Yeah.
03:50He's a good boy. Look at that. Duke has never had the confidence to
03:57do this kind of thing. He's never been the most confident cat.
04:04It's just the way he is. He's always been a little bit more shy and yeah that obviously inhibits
04:11him from being able to go for these walks. But yeah each to their own. We try and give him
04:20a lot more enrichment within the enclosure. But it also highlights you know the the difference
04:33that a positive influence in their life makes. It highlights the fact that with the good relationship
04:42between me and for instance Khan the world of opportunities arises.
05:03So I've worked with quite a few leopards in my life and I've got to just say
05:10say that very few leopards meet the mark of Khan. This is a human trapped in a leopard's body.
05:19I'm pretty sure if if you believe in reincarnation then this leopard is proof
05:27because there's so much more going on in that head than what I've seen in a typical leopard.
05:45I'm pretty sure if you believe in a leopard. You can't go under the vehicle buddy. What are you doing?

06:39I have no idea what he's up to.
06:42I've never seen this before with Khan. He's trying to bite things in the undercarriage of the car.

07:39It's a sign of a confident cat guys so marking his territory.
07:44He's not scared at all to be in this environment.
07:56And you will probably recall if you have been watching Khan in his previous videos, you
08:03guys were commenting that he had a bit of a limp.
08:08And as you can see the limp has completely gone.
08:11He had what we can only describe as a bit of a little shoulder injury, obviously pulled
08:22something but he's a-okay now.
08:27As fit as a fiddle.
08:29And now you'll understand why I come lightly geared up.
08:36So I come very light on the gear because to trundle through the bush chasing this guy,
08:44when he just walks under things and I've got to walk over things, it is a challenge.
08:56But it's a fun one.
08:58Don't get bored of that challenge.

09:35Guys, I absolutely love following Khan.
09:40The reason being is because he's so agile, we explore places in this area that I've never
09:50been to in my entire life.
09:52So I've walked this place flat and then following Khan around for a couple of hours, I get to
09:58see new places, so yeah.
10:20Do you see how that tail is doing over time, now he's marking again.
10:25That's brilliant.
10:28A tail is doing over time, he's just so curious about his surroundings.
10:47Give him a bit of privacy, he's using the toilet.
10:51Just very comfortable.

11:05These are the kind of things that you see.

11:14He's finished his toilet duties.

11:19That is a real stinker.
11:25You wouldn't be familiar with him.

12:06Little rivulets, all leading to the dam.
12:18Give you the feeling of what it's like to be a leopard, that's his height, his head height.
12:30This is how he navigates through the bushes.
12:48Oh, his favourite, his favourite, warthog burrows.
12:54Bark on, where are you going?
12:59This one doesn't look active, but he's not scared.
13:15He just goes wherever.
13:27Honestly, you could stick your head in one of those burrows and come out with a warthog
13:34attached to your face, but Khan doesn't care.
13:42When I sang, when we initially started walking with him when we got to this farm, he was just
13:55super excited to be out and about and chasing after him was like a full-on sprint.
14:02But as the years have ticked over and he just realises that this is part and parcel of what
14:08he does, this is his enrichment, then the pace is a lot calmer because he realises he doesn't
14:16have to, you know, like a kid the first time in a sweet shop, you know, they just go crazy.
14:25And then after they've done it a few times, it becomes the norm.
14:29And so, yeah, this is the norm for Khan.
14:49So what's really interesting, the difference between how a leopard goes about its walk and
14:58how a lion goes about its walk is with the lions, typically they set off in a direction
15:06and they walk pretty much a straight line.
15:10Whereas the leopard tends to kind of do this zigzagging.
15:16So he kind of goes in a direction, turns around and comes back on himself and then goes, you
15:24know, a little bit further.
15:26It's almost like flying or walking transects.
15:31And that's really interesting because they don't really miss anything when they, when
15:35he's walking.
15:36And, you know, I've done many, many walks with Khan and, and he doesn't really deviate from
15:41that kind of, kind of behavior.
15:44It's quite interesting.
16:13Obviously, it's a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little
16:15Guys, obviously it's a great pity that Duke doesn't get to experience the same kind of
16:23enrichment but it's his choice I've said it so many times, the animals here are not forced
16:35to do anything and these enrichment walks are meant to be for their enrichment, not
16:40to stress them out, you know, so yeah, just have to figure out other ways of entertaining
16:49old Duke. I'm pretty sure Con goes back and tells his brother, dude you have no idea what
17:02you missed out on. It's such fun.
17:21And you see how he's doubling back. Completely did a 180.
17:36Heading back in the similar direction to which we've just come from. Listening. This guy's
17:49senses are so in tune so he doesn't miss a thingy.
18:00And actually when you hear a leopard walk through the bush or should I say you don't hear a leopard
18:07walk through the bush because they are super quiet. I'm the one making the noise unfortunately.
18:15clumsy human beings. Now he is super, super quiet.
18:23Oh, down a autog burrow. This one looks a little bit more, no, not active. Not active at all.
18:36A few more here. Oh, I can see this is going to keep him occupied for a while. Fun and
18:45games.

19:15As I suspected, he's backtracking again. Back to the warthog burrows. That's the difference between
19:26the lions and the leopards. Not so sure he wants to jump over the water here.
19:42Like a little 4x4 this guy. Doesn't stop. Yeah, he's going back to the warthogs. He's like,
19:56Guys, I'm sure there's a water there. Catch that guy. Don't have to eat for two weeks.
20:05He's really giving me a thorough workout today, guys. But it's been fun for him.
20:15Are you tired? Eh? Carney? What do you say, boy? What this clever guy has so brilliantly done,
20:37is he's walked a massive area in a very short time. But guys, he's circled back and he's heading back
20:50to the vehicle,
20:52his Uber ride. That's going to take him home. That is how smart Con is. I told you in the
21:01beginning of this video,
21:02that this cat is super, super clever. And look at that. There he is. And there's the vehicle.
21:12Lions would never do that. The lions, I always have to call George to come fetch me. And he's had
21:21enough of his walk.
21:26And he's like, Thanks, Kev. That's been amazing, bud. I got to track a warthog, got to run,
21:34got to jump over rivers. And I'm a happy cat. Look at him. It's almost like those horses when they
21:49have been ridden and they sense home and they start to bolt when they know it's home time.
21:57And we're just going to open up from here and he'll jump in. What a good cat. There we go.
