18:03About that all important lion roar.
18:08When they've recorded the sound.
18:11It's measured 115 to 120 decibels.
18:16Which, if you know sound, that's quite loud.
18:21In fact, so much so that often when a lion is roaring, when I'm sitting or standing next to the
18:28lions and they're roaring, you actually feel the ground vibrate.
18:32That sound value in decibels is equivalent to an ambulance siren.
18:39It's equivalent to a rock concert.
18:42It's very loud.
18:43It can be heard up to eight kilometers away.
18:46Now that's by a human.
18:48I'm pretty sure that a lion can hear it further than that.
18:54Their hearing is better than ours.
18:56And for sure, they can hear it further away than we can.
