05:56And if you're not going to be able to get any pressure on a good quarterback, he is a good

06:07I'll tell you, all 22 for him, though, actually, in a way, made me not credit the defense because there's
06:14nothing to credit there.
06:15But he made a couple of throws that when we always say, oh, they can make all the throws, we
06:21just, that's such a blanket term that is used now for every quarterback coming into the league.
06:26But he made high difficulty, a couple high difficulty throws.
06:30The touchdown pass to Josh Cameron was amazing.
06:32I mean, you basically threw through a gauntlet, a Rube Goldberg, and somehow your eyes are just able, they're paying
06:41so close attention, your eyes are able to keep somebody off their platform just for a split second.
06:46And then you want to talk about anticipation, like, that's where it is.
06:49That is an obscene amount of trust.
06:51I mean, he was having a, he had a tremendous game on Sunday.
06:54Like, I can't take that away.
06:56If you had played against a lesser quarterback, you might have had a chance to keep things close.
07:00Because a game can be managed.
07:01Because you can't manage a game when your first four drives are all what they ended up being, and along
07:07with the turnover, the fumble.
07:09Yeah, but when people say that, well, the Browns fans are being too hard on Deshaun Watson, what do you

07:15Like, one little doodad of saying, like, well, technically he didn't even apologize, but trying to explain yourself after that

07:25And then you gave them what they wanted.
07:27I mean, there's plenty of people, he knows this.
07:29And he, like, the whole point of denying the truth over this, I thought was silly, ended up being right

07:36You went down and you gave them everything they wanted.
07:39Because now they know they're in your head.

07:42You tell any fan base that's trying to razz you, you let them know they're in your head?

07:48Well, and especially because they don't think the team has hope with him.
07:51It'd be one thing if you're like, hey, we've got a young quarterback, we don't want to mess.
07:55Even he might have made a mistake publicly with PR, but the last thing we want to do is, you
08:01know, contaminate his mindset.
08:03With this guy, they don't care.
08:04They'd almost, if they can add to it, if they can, you know, make the flames even larger.
08:09And so, look, the things that you could say about the defense with the new defensive coordinator and with, you
08:16know, the first time we'd seen Swessinger, and there's a lot of moving parts there, and no Miles Garrett.
08:22Like, the excuses that you're willing to make for the defense, no one's willing to make for Deshaun Watson.
08:26Because you could say a lot of the same things.
08:28Offense, new coach, new calls.
08:32In fact, the defense, they were supposed to run a similar system, even though there was much more zone.
08:37Offense, it was going to be a totally new system.
08:39And new receivers, new offensive line.
08:41But no one's going to be willing to make any of those excuses for Deshaun Watson.
08:45Now, do you think, though, that we were overboard with Deshaun Watson?
08:49Only because, even though PFF...
08:52And do you include yourself in that at all?
08:53Yeah, the only thing I would say, if it were anybody else, I would say it's two years removed from

09:07But it's Deshaun Watson, what would that look like?

10:10I mean, when you have Rex Ryan, who will rip people.
10:14Rex Ryan openly rips you being on the football team.
10:16Kevin Clark, who's a guy I like, saying that he's using self-sabotage as a possibility.
10:21He wonders if Deshaun Watson actually really wants to be out there
10:23or whether he just tells himself that.
10:25And if it's self-sabotage.
10:26And this is after one week.
10:28You know, I say, like, hey, yeah, there's definitely other problems there.
10:31But if Deshaun Watson gets benched, I don't think it's going to be a
10:34you-don't-have-deshaun-to-kick-around-anymore type of situation.
10:37I just think we'll move on to the other things to complain about.
10:40It will probably end up being the next quarterback to play.
10:43It'll probably still end up being that defense.
10:45Because when you lose 95, you lose a lot.
10:48And that's going to be a lot for Mike Rutenberg to handle.
10:51And whether or not that you're going to be a guy that can call a defense
10:54and help this defense out over time.
10:56I know it was your first week out.
10:57Or if maybe you just could have been a Miles Garrett merchant.
11:02And maybe he might have made you look a little bit better than what you are.
11:05Or it might have made Jim Schwartz look a little bit better than what he was.
11:08Because we all know who he's replacing.
