04:23welcome to this episode tonight we're
04:25getting into some interesting news
04:26starting with Dave Meltzer listen I'm
04:29not going to say that I'm like some
04:30people who cannot stand Dave Meltzer at
04:32all he does serve a purpose in the pro
04:35wrestling world the pro wrestling
04:36observer has been a magazine and now a
04:39online option for many people for
04:42decades Dave knows a lot of people in
04:45the industry he's done a lot within the
04:46industry but Dave Meltzer is not an
04:49expert he just isn't he thinks he is but
04:51he's not because he's been wrong as
04:52much as he's been right about things
04:54but today I'm just annoyed because if
04:58there's no news for the day that you
04:59have to report on don't report stupid
05:01news because that bothers me I think
05:04you me and everybody else listening to
05:06any shows like this if I asked you what
05:08do you think the main event of
05:10WrestleMania 43 is going to be if I
05:13asked you that question I firmly believe
05:16you had an answer to that question all
05:18the way back at WrestleMania 42 this
05:20year I think as soon as Obafemi walked
05:23out on the after show and talked about
05:26Roman Reigns I think we all knew from
05:28that minute forward that Obafemi versus
05:30Roman Reigns is definitely penciled in to
05:33be the main event in Saudi Arabia for
05:35WrestleMania 43 however Dave Meltzer likes
05:38to make it a new announcement make it
05:39sound like he's breaking some you know
05:41important news you know crossing the
05:43fourth wall or whatever and act like he
05:45knows something that we don't all know I
05:47think even a blind man could have seen
05:48that that's the main event for
05:50WrestleMania 43 in the works I know
05:52that Nick Khan this week said that
05:54they're well into the planning stages for
05:55WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia a lot of
05:58the matches have been determined Dave
05:59Meltzer reported previously I'll give him
06:01his kudos that the Rock's filming schedule
06:02would make it very prohibitive for him to
06:05be able to work a match at the show but
06:06that he could potentially fly in do an
06:09appearance and do something for the show
06:10it just wouldn't be able to be a match I
06:13buy that and I think the Saudis want to
06:15see the Rock at the event I don't know
06:17that they are going to be able to get
06:18him to wrestle but he'll probably make an
06:19appearance maybe hit a rock bottom or a
06:21people's elbow or something but his
06:22filming schedule is very rigorous this
06:25year I don't think we're going to see him
06:26wrestle ever again I hate to say that but
06:28I genuinely how I feel I think he's you
06:31know his body is you know he's changed
06:33some things up because he's trying to
06:34do different movie roles and the such
06:36it's got to be difficult to put on the
06:38muscle mass shed the muscle mass put it
06:39back on take it back off I don't know
06:41if we're ever going to see him wrestle
06:42again but I would love to of course I
06:44want to see the Rock versus Roman we've
06:46been waiting to see that for years but
06:48right now it makes more sense for it to
06:49be Roman and Oba and I think everybody
06:52feels that way now does that mean at
06:54WrestleMania 44 we get Rock and Roman I
06:57mean how old is the Rock going to be at
06:58that point that's why I think WWE missed
07:01the boat they should have pulled the
07:02trigger before Cody ascended to the top
07:04of the card and they did it and that's
07:06the problem I don't think we're going to
07:08get the match I think it's going to be
07:09Oba versus Roman for the WWE World
07:13Heavyweight Championship and I expect
07:15Oba to be crowned the new guy by the
07:18company at that event that being said
07:20Dave Meltzer please get with the
07:22program dude we all figured that out
07:24months ago I don't know why you're
07:25breaking it is news now let's get into
07:27some really exciting stuff for our
07:28Latin American audience WWE is holding
07:31some tryouts and there are some really
07:34interesting names going to those
07:36tryouts now keep in mind WWE has
07:37acquired AAA and they're trying to
07:40increase their Latin influence on WWE
07:43programming in the United States and
07:45trying to secure a television deal for
07:46AAA they will be holding a talent
07:48tryout there is a Chilean superstar named
07:50Roma who announced on X that he will be
07:52attending the WWE tryouts as well as
07:55Panamanian superstar crush is going to
07:57be there and then there's a website
07:59called Lucha Libre online they announced
08:00several stars first off Chileans Javi
08:02star and Dylan Fabrizio they're both
08:06going to be there a Brazilian star Alan
08:08Salas and then we have two Argentinians
08:10Mirko and Angel del Toro all scheduled
08:13to be at the WWE tryouts and who knows
08:16they have run so many shows in the last
08:18couple years down in Central America
08:19South America this is a great opportunity
08:21to increase their presence there and
08:23when they do these international tours
08:25have homegrown phenomenal talents that
08:27understand the WWE way of production
08:29they can work on their promo skills or
08:31interview skills on their live event
08:33success probably come into NXT at some
08:36point or maybe AAA get even more
08:38exposure and then maybe there's a few of
08:40these people that make it to the main
08:41roster look at how successful Penta has
08:44been how successful Ray Phoenix is
08:45becoming Ray Mysterio people like that
08:47there is definitely a dire need for a
08:50much higher representation of our
08:53Hispanic Latino folks in the main
08:55programs in WWE and I get it we've had
08:57some that have made it there the ones I
08:59just said are some of the exceptions
09:00to rule we've had just as many who've
09:01been buried like in all seriousness I'm
09:04watching Triple A's Triple Mania last
09:06night night one and all I could think
09:08to myself was like Berto and Angel Garza
09:11are studs but in WWE they never made it
09:14very far Santos Escobar was phenomenal and
09:18he's not even on the roster anymore so
09:20WWE doesn't have the best track record
09:22with pushing talents in that in that
09:25genre in that in that demographic I think
09:27this recruitment class could be very
09:30exciting if WWE gets on board with
09:32pushing stars with much more
09:33international experience and they can
09:35draw in fans from non-conventional
09:37locations and bring them into the WWE
09:39universe in a great great way let's move
09:42on to Royce Keys in the news because
09:44word is coming out that they are viewing
09:46him internally as a future world
09:49heavyweight champion this is something I
09:52don't think we would have said in AEW
09:53they always put him in the mid upper
09:55card but never in the main event scene
09:56and now they're saying that they are so
09:58impressed with Royce Keys and his work
10:00especially right now with OTM in the
10:02946 that he is somebody they are
10:04penciling into at some point be at the
10:06world heavyweight championship level
10:07certainly main eventing pay-per-views I
10:10think the first one we may see that
10:11happen at would be the survivor series
10:13where I think we're gonna see a major
10:14war between the unified bloodline and
10:18I'm sure a few other members joining
10:19his faction and seeing the 946 in the
10:22war games match we'll have to see how
10:24it plays out but hearing that they look
10:25at him and regard him so highly very
10:27exciting for Royce Keys I'm sure very
10:29excited for fans of Royce Keys which I
10:31am definitely one of got to talk Sammy
10:33Zayn after winning the WWE championship
10:36at Smackdown Sammy Zayn is in very select
10:41company as one of only four superstars to
10:44ever win the WWE championship outside of
10:48the United States on two different
10:50occasions the other people being John
10:53Cena who had won the championship outside
10:55the US twice Brock Lesnar who won it
10:58twice in Saudi Arabia and Seth Rollins who
11:01won the championship once in Saudi Arabia
11:03once in Canada so Sammy Zayn becomes the
11:06fourth we're having won the championship
11:08from Cody Rhodes in Saudi Arabia and now
11:11CM Punk in Canada I'm sorry in Mexico and
11:14he is the first person in WWE history to
11:16win the WWE championship in Mexico which
11:18is a whole nother thing what a what an
11:20interesting situation right now in WWE
11:22doing some crazy things things they've
11:23never done before congratulations to our
11:25fans in Mexico who got to see a
11:28championship change on that level in
11:29person for the first time ever I love
11:32the WWE is giving the fans some unique
11:34some new experiences some first-time
11:36opportunities this is an exciting time
11:38even if you don't love all the booking
11:40that goes on in WWE these types of firsts
11:43are something that should be celebrated
11:44and they're a wonderful thing for the
11:46business let's get into some free agent
11:49slash signee conversation one Serena
11:51Deeb she has been off television in AEW
11:54still under AEW contract still collecting a
11:57paycheck since October of 2024 the same
12:00time that Britt Baker went off TV now
12:03we've heard people screaming to the
12:04gallows about how much we needed Britt
12:06Baker back on TV but nobody's saying
12:07anything about Serena Deeb and if you
12:08don't remember this lady can go she is a
12:12phenomenal female wrestler would bring
12:14so much to the brand and she's been
12:16sitting on the sidelines now she still
12:17wrestles she's making matches on the
12:19independent scene and doing her own
12:21thing there but you're signed to an
12:23AEW talent contract and I always have to
12:25question why Tony Khan signs people he
12:27does no intention of actually using give the
12:29lady some television time and if you
12:31don't have time on dynamite or collision
12:33use her on ring of honor if you don't
12:35have a look ring of honor does not have
12:37a television deal at this point so
12:39instead of recording one ring of honor
12:41episode each week record to one for
12:44dynamite one for collision have two
12:45episodes to get more people exposed to
12:47television time I think Serena Deeb is
12:49being underappreciated her contributions
12:51to the business going all the way back to
12:53CM Punk in WWE she has always been
12:56willing to do anything to further the
12:58business I think she deserves a much
13:01better position before she hangs up her
13:02her boots for the for her career and
13:05hopefully we see her on television
13:06sometime in the near future somebody we
13:08will not be seeing in an MLW television
13:11program is Tessa Blanchard which is in
13:13direct conflict with the reporting last
13:15week it was thought that she had signed
13:17to work for MLW it turns out that what
13:21happened was CMLL after the whole TNA exit
13:24holds the exclusive exclusive
13:26negotiating rights for her bookings and
13:28her dates they gave permission to her
13:30for her to work in MLW show but they
13:32were frustrated with the way MLW made
13:35it seem as though she had signed a
13:37multiple appearance contract with them
13:39and then she kind of fed into that
13:41talking about how she wanted to come
13:42for the MLW women's championship CMLL
13:45was like wait a minute we only gave you
13:47one date so then there was some
13:48discourse of frustration between the
13:50two companies and now her booking for
13:52MLW has been canceled altogether they've
13:54rescheduled her to wrestle somebody else
13:55on a CMLL show and it sounds like her
13:58debut in MLW may just not happen at all
14:00which is really a shame I want to see
14:02her in a United States ring as well as
14:04the Mexican ring I get it she's not she
14:07in the past has not been the greatest
14:08human being on the planet she was very
14:11young I'm always one of those people
14:12believe people deserve a second chance I
14:15think she was trying to do that she
14:16tried to do that in TNA was starting
14:18to get some traction again discord with
14:20them and CMLL triple TNA wanting her to
14:22be primarily focused there CMLL wanting
14:24the same led to her leaving TNA and now
14:27we're going to see her not get an
14:28opportunity in MLW because of almost the
14:30exact same issue these people need to
14:32stop acting like they own people if she
14:35wasn't booked for CMLL and you agreed
14:36to let her work MLW it's a pro wrestling
14:39show we're supposed to work people up
14:41into a frenzy we're supposed to make
14:43people think bigger than what is actually
14:45happening it's just all part of selling
14:47the match and her appearance I don't
14:49know why people get their feathers so
14:51ruffled I'm actually a little
14:52disappointed in CMLL at this point
14:54because they're a wrestling company
14:55they've been in business for forever
14:56they know what it's like to try to
14:57promote an appearance that's exactly
14:59what she was doing no harm no foul and
15:01now we're going to lose a booking in
15:03an MLW for something we shouldn't have
15:05had to lose it for very frustrating
