03:46tell you

03:47i loved raw this week there was nothing on this show that i was disappointed with starting off the show

03:54with roman reigns arrival at the arena only to be passed over by wwe champion sammy zane acting like

04:01a hollywood movie star with glasses on cell phone in hand on his way to the ring and he's gonna

04:07basically take roman's spot he comes out he's starting to talk to the fans and before things

04:12really get cooking here comes the otc roman reigns coming to the ring to have a face-off with the

04:19man

04:19he will face a crown jewel for that crown jewel championship and i loved everything about this

04:24segment roman reigns being very respectful of sammy being on his show sammy running it back talking

04:30about their history together what i really loved about this though is that at some point they did all

04:35this reflective stuff a lot of positive vibes the hugging it out i thought that was really nice a

04:40great touch a call back to the night that they gave sammy the honorary oose shirt which then

04:45coincidentally roman brings up that the wwe championship is not the title that's most important

04:50that sammy has but honorary oose and sammy goes on to talk about the fact that he is the head

04:56of the

04:56his own table over on smackdown and he hopes that roman can understand that he has to focus on his

05:02needs

05:03at this point there was nothing in what sammy said that was not accurate and then sammy told him that

05:09he was frustrated that roman wasn't sweating him at all wasn't taking him seriously or whatnot for the

05:14crown jewel championship and roman hit him with a shot basically talking about if his track record

05:20means anything he may not even be champion by the time they get to crown jewel this was great back

05:25and

05:25forth there was a lot of solid conversation there was a part about whether sammy was on the show to

05:30talk about titles or was he there to talk about the 946 was he there to do the bidding of

05:35the bloodline

05:36and i thought the wording was the key roman reigns even though he's the most over guy tonight on the

05:42show

05:43still came off a little bit heelish when he's essentially talking down to sammy acting as

05:49though he has to be a subordinate sammy brought up some great points that when roman had the wwe

05:54championship it was the number one championship but now that roman has the other championship somehow

05:58the wwe championship falls down the pecking order and that's insane to me the wwe championship is the

06:04most storied championship in wwe i don't care who the person is who holds the belt that championship

06:12holds the prestige roman got profane talked about how that belt hasn't meant anything i'll use a

06:18different word hasn't meant anything since wrestlemania 40 which is absolute nonsense it's

06:23disrespectful of everything that's happened to that belt since so again like i said roman almost going

06:28heelish here and i loved it and roman basically telling him it's not about the title it's about who

06:33holds the championship it was great everything about this segment was fantastic and in one simple

06:41interview no physicality no nothing in one conversational segment i am now absolutely

06:47locked in on crown jewel these two are going to have a great match i've predicted it before i'm going

06:52to predict it again the 946 are going to cost roman reigns that match and sammy zayn is going to

06:59win

06:59that crown jewel championship in saudi arabia if the matches are held there or wherever the alternate

07:04location is if they decide to move it as they're getting ready and roman is leaving the ring

07:09penta's music hit and as penta came to the ring and went right past roman reigns it was obvious

07:14that he was teasing a potential cash-in of the money in the bank briefcase on roman i would have

07:19liked to have seen more interplay between penta and sammy zayn but we go to commercial when we come

07:24back it is penta versus braun breaker after everything that happened last week and this was a

07:30really good match a lot of near falls at any point in time i actually for a little bit there

07:35i actually

07:36thought when uh penta went to do a dive and braun breaker hit him with a spear off the dive

07:41i thought

07:42that was it i thought he was pinning penta he did not penta kicked out this match was back and

07:46forth so

07:46much it was really well done at one point we see the vision come out we've got maxine dupree on

07:52one

07:52side of the ring we have austin theory on the other side austin theory trying to get the money in

07:57the

07:57bank briefcase to get it to braun and instead he is intercepted by javon evans who's still wrapped up

08:03and taped up post money in the bank and he fights off austin theory takes the briefcase and as braun

08:08breaker goes to say something to javon evans he turns around and cracks breaker over the head with

08:12the briefcase which he falls back into a mexican destroyer and penta picks up the win over braun

08:18breaker you do not typically see braun take a pinfall loss but it all meant something here this was

08:24perfect i was okay with all of it it was done very well it protects braun because of the briefcase

08:28shot

08:29we don't want to do anything to his character protects penta because obviously he gets the win

08:33and it kind of elevates javon a little bit because now javon is directly cost braun break or something

08:40so now you can spin that into a braun versus javon match which i fully expect braun to win but

08:47it at

08:47least gives him something of substance to do to keep him relevant until he's ready to be elevated again

08:52as a world championship contender from there we get introductory music for chelsea green and eo sky

08:59they are going to be a part of a tag team match and but before we get to that there's

09:03a backstage

09:04segment with roman reigns walking out jackie redmond stops him she's asking about the 946 asking about

09:10sammy zane asking about penta basically having having people come from all directions and roman says

09:15we're going to have to go back to the drawing board he's not sure what to do he's got to

09:19go back to

09:19the drawing board and i thought it was a very poignant point to make from there he gets in

09:23his vehicle and leaves the arena i thought that was really really important because you know

09:29after last week there's going to be some kind of 946 interaction and here's roman blowing the

09:34blowing the joint he's leaving so that's kind of leaving whoever's still in the building to fend for

09:39themselves that's the perception um from there we go back to the tag team match chelsea and eo are in

09:44raquel uh rodriguez roxanne perez and live morgan are out at ringside um this tag team match was one

09:51of the better tag team match i've seen but i gotta emphasize chelsea green was so spectacular in this

09:58match she was hitting everything with precision it all made sense there was one little wonky piece

10:05there where they were doing like a hip toss kind of move with her and roxanne perez otherwise this was

10:10really great stuff to dive off the turnbuckle towards the end through live and raquel like

10:14everything about chelsea's performance tonight really made me buy into her as a world champion

10:20that's something i think wwe needs to lean into this is a young lady who when she was in lucha

10:25underground had one-on-one matches with penta if she can hang with penta then she should be

10:31strategically positioned to be a phenomenal worker in wwe and she is getting more and more of that as time

10:37goes on i think she's getting more comfortable in her role within the company and i love it i loved

10:41everything about this um at the end of the match we see eo with a quick roll-up on raquel

10:46and they

10:46get the win i love this because it furthers the storyline obviously eo pinning raquel means she's

10:51probably getting an intercontinental championship match which i fully expected anyways after last

10:55week and obviously chelsea and live are headed for crown jewel to battle for the crown jewel

10:59championship the issue is what do you do with roxanne if she would have won money in the bank i

11:04could

11:04have told you what we were going to do with roxanne but because she didn't what do you do with

11:08roxanne she has to we have to give her more if we want to elevate her and that is the

11:13report that

11:14came out last week is that they want to elevate roxanne to be in a premium match at wrestlemania

11:18in one of the main event segments for the women's championships one of them so whatever you're doing

11:23with her you have to get going with it now i suspect we'll see a championship match on smackdown

11:28for roxanne at some point but from here what happens if are you going to have her lose that

11:33match are you going to have her win that maybe have that match this friday have her win it and

11:37have her and live at crown jewel think about what that would look like and i'd actually be okay with

11:42that even though i don't want chelsea to lose the championship she's got a lot going on right now

11:46with tiffany stratton with nikki bella maybe now with page even and various other talents over on

11:52smackdown i don't want to see chelsea lose the title but if chelsea losing for a cash-in

11:56is what set up live versus roxanne at crown jewel i could actually see why they may pull the trigger

12:01on something like that how fascinating that match would be from there we get a 946 replay of last

12:08week and then a vignette where they basically said nothing it was a boring vignette a waste of time

12:14accomplished nothing to further the storyline these guys are minimalists and i know sometimes that's a

12:19good thing but this was not it's just a wasted vignette you need to start having real thoughtful

12:24vignettes if you're going to build stories if you want to bring heat to the equation from whatever

12:29they're saying in these these these vignettes we got nothing we got a couple words from carmelo we

12:35got a few words from royce keys and we got jada parker ain't nobody safe like i've heard that already

12:41it's the same vignette every week just in a different locale it's kind of ridiculous so i really hope they

12:46start building these guys story conversation stuff a little better than what they've done so far

12:51because i think i could have done without this the only thing on the whole show i didn't really care

12:55for from there we get a match jd mcdonough taking on joe hendry jd has dom with him and joe

13:01hendry

13:01has a funko pop head with who knows who underneath the punk funko pop i gotta tell you jd mcdonough

13:09it's almost a travesty that he's the body size that he is because you and i both know that he

13:13will

13:13never get a chance to be a world champion he probably will never get a chance to be a second

13:19tier

13:19champion like intercontinental united states perhaps triple a cruiserweight champion but i

13:24don't even see that in the cards right now because that's you know ray phoenix is so over i don't

13:28see

13:28him losing to jd mcdonough but what the reason i say all this is in this match with joe hendry

13:33once

13:33again like is often the case jd mcdonough is such a skilled technician he pound for pound is one of

13:40the

13:41best wrestlers in the world and he will never get the respect he needs for the skills that he puts

13:46on

13:46i'd almost like to see him go babyface just so he could have a run getting cheered

13:51he is incredible this match was great top to bottom mcdonough really outwrestled joe hendry

13:57throughout the match but here's my issue right at the end of the match there's a scene where joe

14:01hendry pushes him into the ropes and dominic holds mcdonough's hands so that henry rolls back off

14:06and mcdonough turns around and hits him with the headbutt and pins him and he defeats joe hendry

14:09what the heck are we doing with joe hendry he should not be taking pinfall losses to jd mcdonough

14:16if you are ever going to put him into any kind of substantial role if wwe has already turned the

14:22page on joe hendry and i cannot believe i'm going to say this if they have turned the page on

14:27joe hendry

14:27release him release joe hendry he is too talented not to be pushed in a much more meaningful way

14:35he should never lose it to jd mcdonough again in his career this is a guy who was a mystery

14:40opponent for randy orton he's a tna world champion he had he's he's he was over as can be an

14:45nxt

14:46former nxt champion this is not somebody to be jobbing out to the judgment days lackey

14:51okay that i have an issue with now i'm not saying it's a bad match it was a fantastic match

14:56i loved

14:56everything about the match i just don't like who won the match and and that's kind of hypocritical

15:01because i'm sitting here talking about how great jd mcdonough is but since we know it's not going

15:05anywhere i don't need him to win i just want to keep seeing phenomenal performances by jd

15:09joe hendry i want to see him win i want to see him get up into an ethan page level

15:14where he's

15:15feuding for the intercontinental championship and things like that we're never going to see that if

15:19he's losing to mcdonough this to me didn't make a lot of sense i particularly thought it was crazy

15:23the fact that he was outside the ring jd mcdonough whacking the funko pop guy over the head with the

15:28guitar and it looked like it almost split through the thing could have hurt the guy on the inside of

15:31the

15:31costume but hopefully we're done with that funko pop nonsense because it was kind of ridiculous to

15:35begin with um we see a backstage segment where lyra valkyrie is walking down the hallway bailey is

15:41behind her almost creeping her out she keeps turning around to figure out if bailey's following her and

15:46at one point she ducks behind a wall and she turns around and throws a shot thinking it's bailey and

15:51it

15:51turns out she hits lola vice and it was recorded earlier in the evening supposedly so now lola wants to

15:56see her in the ring tonight and that's the match we get we get lola vice coming out first followed

16:01by lyra valkyrie after at a commercial break when we come back the two have a really good back and

16:06forth match i think lola is still kind of finding her way on the main roster but she's doing a

16:10really

16:10great job especially with the amount of experience she has i really think she's got a bright future

16:14she's a very talented young lady lyra is as well she always has been she's put on great matches this

16:20insane character she's playing right now is very interesting and at some point she goes outside the

16:25ring and bailey is under the ring ape and grabbing a hold of her foot and she freaks out she

16:30calls the

16:31referee and the referee comes out to look at her he doesn't see bailey and as he's looking for bailey

16:34bailey grabs lyra by the hair and she's holding her through the uh the ropes and the corner post

16:40holding her by the hair when she rips herself free she ends up getting in the ring lola vice ends

16:44up

16:44hitting her with her finisher that spinning back elbow and she pins her and she defeats uh lyra valkyria

16:50after the match bailey is taunting lyra as she goes into the crowd lyra grabs her pulls her back over

16:57the guardrail and then there's all but it looks like lyra's going to try to lay out bailey but

17:01bailey catches her throws her over the over the guardrail again chases her into the back and then

17:06bailey gets up on the turnbuckle and this was interesting to me she told her they're going to

17:09settle their differences next week in a no disqualification match here is my concern

17:16problem or maybe it's nothing the word last week was that bailey's wwe contract along with many

17:23other talents uh the the creed brothers ivy nile there's a there's a whole list of people who

17:30supposedly their contracts run out in october if bailey's contract is running out is next week

17:35no disqualification match set up so that bailey can be written off wwe tv permanently and is she

17:40leaving at the end of october or like some speculated when she came back to television after

17:45that great write-off before did she sign an extension next week's match to me is the

17:50determinate factor if bailey loses that match to lyra and has lost three straight to lyra

17:55she'll never recoup from that she is leaving if she wins next week then i think she's staying long

18:01term and we have an answer to our concerns about whether she's staying or going since there's been

18:05no official confirmation one way or the other but we do know that her other contract supposedly was

18:10supposed to run out in october so definitely a situation to monitor keep our eye on

18:15but i just thought that the fact that they're doing a notice qualification match and on television no

18:19less before a ple after everything they've done for this this feud was a little surprising to me

18:25we do get a backstage segment with becky lynch and stephanie vacura stephanie still not medically

18:29cleared even though she wrestled this past weekend very weird people are it's 2026 social media is out

18:35there everybody knows she wrestled this past weekend but she's playing it up that she's hurt on raw

18:39she they uh we have adam pierce tells them when she heals up becky suggests the two of them wrestle

18:46and the winner gets live and it sounds like he's okay with that we're finally at some point going to

18:50get that match becky tells her to heal up so that she can beat her and walks off speaking spanish

18:56i thought it was an interesting segment it's a match i can't wait to see i don't know how soon

18:59we're going to see it depending on how long they want to play up this injury angle but definitely a

19:03must

19:03from there i'm saying it the only way i can we get one of the best matches that we've had

19:10on

19:10monday night raw in quite a while and that's saying something considering i said something similar last

19:16week but this was even better than last week for the wwe intercontinental championship champion chad

19:22gable defending in a three-way against ray mysterio and dragon lee this match was absolute fire and i at

19:32several points thought dragon lee was winning ray mysterio was winning chad gable was winning then

19:37it would be back to dragon lee back to chad back to ray 619 splashes all this stuff it just

19:43there

19:44were so many near falls that you could easily see being the end and they were in san diego

19:48so you're in ray's hometown is 619 area code it would have made a lot of sense so i really

19:54didn't

19:54know where this was going in the end chad gable with reversals and whatnot package up and chad gable

20:00gets the pinfall victory over ray mysterio and retains the intercontinental championship in an

20:05absolute matt classic and i thought this was the best thing on raw i really did i love everything chad

20:11gable does this is this is like a callback to the 80s when the intercontinental and even the 90s when

20:16the intercontinental championship was the belt you gave to the guys who could really work the real

20:20workhorses chad gable is at the apex of his career dragon lee is unbelievably talented ray mysterio at

20:27his advanced age is still moving like he's a cruiserweight in his 20s this was i literally had

20:33chills watching it this was a phenomenal match i hope if you got to see it you loved it if

20:38you didn't

20:38please go out of your way to watch this match it is that good it is worth the time investment

20:43check it out after the match post-match ethan page hits the ring attacks everybody and he really goes

20:49to town on chad gable while he's pummeling chad gable because chad gable had been in the ring

20:53celebrating ray mysterio handshakes hugs arms up in the air they get it then he gets attacked by ethan

20:58page outside the ring dragon lee is about to stand up and big cast is right behind him cast attacks

21:06dragon lee power bombs him on the guardrail ray mysterio goes in for the save he catches a boot to

21:11the face um and be perfectly honest with you big cast flexes and i thought dang that guy is jacked

21:17right now he looked great back to ethan page entering hitting his finisher over and over again on chad

21:22gable this is a huge opportunity i still think enzo coming in and making it three on three would

21:28be a great idea but i don't know if they're going to do that i seems it seems like they're

21:31so hesitant

21:32to bring in enzo and put him with cast which makes no sense to me they've got brand recognition already

21:37there but this was awesome as well the beat down looked real the shots were really snug it really was

21:44believable i loved everything about this and then we get to the big news of the night the usos come

21:50out

21:50they're calling out the 946 the 946 respond they come through the crowd the usos are outnumbered

21:57you've got four men plus jada parker versus the two usos who are wielding a bat and a chair

22:02they surround the ring and as they start to get ready to get on the ring royce keys is outside

22:08he's

22:08got the mic and he's like ain't nobody safe and it's obvious they're going to jump him four on two

22:13and instead solo sekoa comes out from nowhere and attacks royce keys as he's public royce keys

22:19another person comes around the side he he goes after them solo look great in this and then turns

22:25into a big brawl everybody's in the ring solo takes another um uh crowbar shot to the knee this

22:31time from carmelo and the 946 has a beat down and it's going down and going down it's four on

22:37three

22:37jada parker's there taunting and after the beat down jada parker grabs handcuffs and they're getting

22:44ready to handcuff one of the members i really don't know which person they were playing in handcuffs

22:47and cue the otc's music roman reigns comes back into the arena we thought he was gone they did a

22:55great job of letting you think that he was gone and here's the thing right and i hate i can't

22:59believe

22:59i thought this because i was wrong i'm gonna admit that right now i was totally wrong about the vibe

23:04i was getting all of the members of the bloodline are laid out the four members of uh 946 are

23:12standing

23:13tall roman walks to the ring the commentary is like this is the first time they've got to contend with

23:18the otc everything's changed now they back off a little bit he gets in the ring and you see the

23:24usos slowly getting up and solo slowly getting up and he's talking some trash and i actually had the

23:29thought what if roman turned right now and became the leader of 946 what if roman was the fifth member

23:37of 946 what if the 946 was going to be roman royce keys carmelo and the tag team from nxt

23:43because i

23:44always forget their names um versus jimmy j solo jacob fatu and they need a fifth member and they bring

23:52up zilla or something like that now the problem is i think that the star power would be so leaning

23:56on

23:56roman side of things at that point that wouldn't make sense i actually my brain went there because

24:00i'm always looking for like a really big moment but let's be honest roman coming out and joining

24:04forces with his cousins that is pretty big news anyways in the end they go to war and roman is

24:12the difference maker he is the reason why for the first time the 946 is on the run he hits

24:17his superman

24:18punches he's hits his spears and it is obvious that this is what we're headed to for war games he

24:24still has to contend with sammy at crown jewel like i said i think sammy wins because of 946 we

24:29are

24:29obviously on a collision course for war games we still have to add a member to the 946 because

24:34jacob fatu will be back and that's going to make it five versus five now we did an episode on

24:40who

24:41those are top five candidates to be the fifth member i don't know how you feel about that please

24:46go check that episode out it's a great episode if you ask me um we speculate on the top five

24:50candidates that we think could possibly be there um but after tonight i think it's obvious the otc is

24:56not going anywhere and this is going to be an incredible war games match this year i loved everything

25:01about raw i've been talking about rating systems and things like that for a while now every week

25:05this was four and three quarter star show this is as close as i can get to a perfect show

25:11as a 50 as i

25:12could possibly get this was solid stuff i loved everything about it top to bottom the only thing

25:17i i the vignette the vignette from the 946 is the only thing it was boring to me you know

25:22i would have

25:23had jd uh jd mcdonough and lose to joe henry but i can't complain about the match it was phenomenal

25:27all the storytelling all night long to build for crown jewel every all of it it was all fantastic
