00:00All right, guys, in Baton Rouge, it's your game of the day.
00:02It's LSU.
00:03It's Clemson.
00:03Tiger on Tiger crime here.
00:05Dabo Sweeney needing a big win to try and steady the ship,
00:09but LSU probably need it more because LSU's aspirations are much bigger
00:15than that of Clemson.
00:17Dabo can go here, hang around, and say, hey, guys, don't worry.
00:20It's going to be fine.
00:21Lane Kiffin is expected to not just win at LSU but win big,
00:25and winning your opening game as a double-digit favorite is the type of things
00:30that LSU faithful are expecting.
00:33Of course, there is a lot of conversation around the NFL stuff.
00:35We just got into that side of it here.
00:37These guys are not going to play here in the opener,
00:41so it's not changing the number too much.
00:43A number that sits at 10, 10.5 depending on where you look at a total
00:47that is settling in, dropping a little bit,
00:48but I'm seeing 50.5 anywhere across the landscape right now.
00:53I think these are two very talented teams.
00:57These are actually not one but two teams, Dave,
01:01that I put into the college football playoff last week on our show
01:05when we did a CFP prediction as to who the 12 teams would be.
01:11Give me the number that stands out to you heading into this game the most.
01:16The number that stands out to me is honestly the total.
01:20I love the under 51 here.
01:21You talked a couple of minutes ago about who this game probably means more to,
01:26and I think the pressure is on LSU.
01:28And I said in the last segment,
01:30I wasn't sure whether they could get all the pieces together
01:33to win this game by 10 or more in terms of covering the game,
01:37but they also have what is projected to be a great defense coming back
01:42to begin with, lane or no lane.
01:44You know, SP Plus has them as the number two rated defense.
01:47And think what you want about Clemson and Dabo.
01:49They have a really good defense as well.
01:51They have the 10th rated defense in the country.
01:54So that's really the number I'm looking at is two of the top 10 defenses
01:58projected this year in the country.
02:00You got a lot of question marks on offense on both sides with the two quarterbacks
02:06being new to the systems with Clemson and LSU and Vincita and whether they can get it together.
02:13So I'm going with, hey, we don't know what we don't know with these two teams.
02:18Is Dabo and Clemson back?
02:20Is LSU going to be able to put it on the field?
02:22The NFL controversy with the players.
02:24So to me, when I see a lot of question marks, the first thing I do is go to the
02:28under.
02:29I think 51 is a lot of points out there.
02:31We're 50 and a half, 51.
02:33New pieces on both sides.
02:35Two big defenses.
02:36Last year, LSU had the worst SEC run defense in the conference.
02:41They couldn't move the ball last year.
02:43I expect it to be different, but I'm playing the under 51.
02:46I'm probably going to get to Clemson plus 10 after you're done talking,
02:50because I know you're on that.
02:51But I'm going with the under 51 and a half,
02:53because to me, there's too many question marks on both sides on offense.
02:57You got two defenses.
02:59That's a combination of, you know,
03:01maybe we're looking at a 24 to 20 type game that gets you way under without a sweat.
