00:00Let's start with Clemson and LSU and the overall excitement for what this game is going to look like, because
00:06it's going to be wild.
00:08Marty Smith of ESPN saying LSU officials confirmed to ESPN that Saturday's season opening home game against Clemson is the
00:16most media celebrity credentialed game in Tiger Stadium history.
00:22Lane Kiffin's debut will be a wild scene in Death Valley.
00:262026 marks LSU's 102nd season in Tiger Stadium.
00:33So over 100 years worth of football at Tiger Stadium, Death Valley, this will be the most credentialed media and
00:42celebrity credentialed game in Tiger history.
00:46Everybody wants to be seen.
00:48Everybody wants to get their picture with Lane Kiffin on the sidelines, right?
00:55NIL world, here we come with celebrities and endorsements and products and everything that's going to be part of this
01:02game when Dabo Sweeney takes his Clemson Tigers to go play in their version of Death Valley.
01:09It's really funny.
01:10Two Death Valleys.
01:11They both play and they're playing each other.
01:13It's LSU's Death Valley against Clemson's Death Valley.
01:16It's LSU's Tigers against Clemson's Tigers.
01:18But the similarities kind of end there when it comes to what these two teams are looking like, because this
01:25is a game in which most people believe that Lane Kiffin's got a national championship caliber team.
01:30Clemson is not being talked about in the same way.
01:33These two teams met last year in the season opener.
01:37LSU went on to a 17-10 victory by shutting out Clemson in the second half.
01:42And that was kind of it.
01:43Both teams went 7-6.
01:46Dabo and Clemson trying to prove that the non-NIL recruiting high schoolers is still a way of developing a
01:54program and building a program and winning a national championship.
01:57But Lane Kiffin trying to come over from Ole Miss and bringing in a ton of transfers and a ton
02:05of NAL money to spend to boot, including players that may or may not get LSU kicked out of the
02:11SEC like we talked about yesterday.
02:15The game itself, I mean, LSU has to destroy Clemson to live up to the hype.
02:21But if they do, I think there's going to be a lot, even more buzz around LSU and their potential
02:28to win the national championship.
02:30The problem, I think, for a lot of folks who are going to back LSU is that Clemson is the
02:36professional side at the moment.
02:37This number has been ticking down all summer.
02:39We've seen 11.5, 11, 10.5, 10.
02:42And the pro money just keeps on trickling in on Clemson.
02:47And a lot of it has to do with the fact that Clemson is being overlooked, that Dabo is being
02:54doubted, that nobody thinks that Dabo Sweeney's team is going to be able to hang with LSU.
02:59But there's so many new players on that roster for LSU.
03:03I mean, this is not an established program that Lane Kiffin's got a machine rolling through.
03:09So I would be careful laying 10 points.
03:11I don't think I've got any real issue at the moment, any real interest, I should say, with laying 10
03:22points with LSU, even at home, even at night, against Clemson.
03:26That feels like a touchdown game one way or the other.
03:29And if Clemson beats LSU, am I going to be stunned?
03:32No, I'm not going to be stunned if Clemson beats LSU.
03:36LSU's got so much hype.
03:37It's just everyone running to the window.
03:40It's all group think.
03:41The public is all over LSU, but the professionals are seeing something here and they are slowly ticking this number
03:48down.
