00:00So we go over to now the New York Giants.
00:03The New York Giants doing New York Giants thing.
00:07What do they do?
00:09They bring back Odell Beckham, and he makes the 53-man roster.
00:13I've said this before about this football player.
00:16This guy here is the most overrated wide receiver
00:19and the most overhyped wide receiver in New York Giants football history.
00:24One catch on a Monday night.
00:26Really?
00:27And then what else?
00:29Help me out here.
00:30The only other thing that I remember Odell Beckham for
00:32was throwing C-notes out at the national championship game at LSU.
00:37I don't remember any other big years.
00:40I don't remember any other big catches.
00:42I remember one highlight reel that this guy had.
00:46He is the Jadavian Clowney of wide receivers.
00:49The New York Giants shouldn't be signing relics.
00:52They need to be signing players that can make an impact on that football team
00:56and making moves to help Ajax and Dart.
00:59There's no doubt about it.
01:01The kid's on the firing line right now because he acts like he's a superstar in New York,
01:07and the guy has not done superstar things.
01:10Look, I love John Harbaugh.
01:11I think it was a mistake for the Baltimore Ravens to have let him go.
01:15You're talking about a coach that understands how to win.
01:19You're talking about a coach that knows how to put a roster together,
01:22and he was in one of the best organizations in all of pro football with Ozzie Newsom
01:27and Eric Dacosta, the current general manager of the Ravens.
01:30Steve McSgetty was one of the absolutely best owners in all of pro football,
01:34but I think that was a mistake to move off of him.
01:37Now you go to New York.
01:39Joe Schoen, you're going to have to help me here.
01:42You keep that guy employed?
01:44Why?
01:45You're talking about a general manager that allowed Saquon Barkley to walk out the building
01:50and walk down 95 and go to the Philadelphia Eagles and put up a 2,000-yard season
01:56and end up helping a team win a Super Bowl.
02:00You allowed a guy to leave in Daniel Dimes Jones.
02:03He's now just signed a contract extension with the Indianapolis Colts,
02:07and now the guy's in a place where he may end up winning that division
02:11and may be a player in the AFC.
02:14Show me where Joe Schoen, the current general manager of the New York Giants,
02:18has done anything.
02:20Malik Nabors?
02:21Sure.
02:22Not a bad player.
02:23All good.
02:24But at the end of the day, when you're talking about building a football team,
02:29I don't know who has the worst GM.
02:30Am the guy up in Buffalo or the guy in New York when it comes to Joe Schoen?
02:37Dude, the New York Giants have been a train wreck for a decade or more
02:42when it comes to building a football team.
02:45Giant fans don't remember the last time that they were competitive.
02:49And try to help me out here.
02:50Show me all the way back when you're talking about Dave Gettleman
02:54and all the things that they were doing.
02:56They really haven't had a general manager in that building since Jerry Reese.
03:01You know, when everybody was talking,
03:03hey, we got to get rid of Tom Coughlin.
03:05We got to get rid of Jerry Reese.
03:06What exactly have you done for the last 13 years in New York?
03:11The New York Giants are clearly one of the greatest franchises in NFL history.
03:16Unfortunately, for the last decade and a half, they have been the worst football team in the NFC East.
03:24Look at their roster.
03:25Show me players where they have helped build a roster where they're being competitive.
03:31The Philadelphia Eagles are running circles around the New York Giants and constructing a roster.
03:37Howie Roseman has, without a doubt, done laps around the New York Giants.
03:43The Giants got to get their stuff together.
03:45And hiring a relic like Odell Beckham, who did nothing in New York, is counterproductive.
03:54This is a football team that if you do believe in Jackson Dart,
03:59you've got to start putting better football players around him.
04:02And Scadabo is not that guy.
04:05You allowed a player in Saquon Barkley to leave.
04:09Did nothing really to construct an offensive line, which is getting a little better.
04:16But at the end of the day, the New York Giants, where are they going in 2026 with moves like
04:22this?
04:22I say this all the time.
04:24Look, the diva position of wideout, you don't really need to have a big-time offensive football player
04:31at that position to win Super Bowls.
04:34You just don't if you have the right signal caller.
04:37Show me a guy, prior to signing a contract, that really signed one of those big-time deals
04:43that helped the team win a Super Bowl.
04:45Most of these guys, these diva wideouts, are interchangeable.
04:49A.J. Brown is now on his third team in New England.
04:53Devontae Adams is on his third or fourth football team.
04:57Tariq Hill, he's moved.
04:59A couple years ago, Tariq Hill was considered by NFL.com the best player in pro football.
05:05Edge rusher and wide receiver have to be the most overpaid positions in all of pro football.
05:12And bringing Odell Beckham back to New York, I don't know how that helps the New York Giants.
05:17And I do believe in John Harbaugh.
05:20I think John Harbaugh is going to put that program, once again, back on the map again.
05:25But folks, it's going to take a big-time lift when it comes to that and putting the Giants in
05:31a place.
05:32Odell Beckham makes the opening day 53-man roster.
05:36You bring him back in, doesn't make sense.
