00:00And then you get this out of nowhere, parachuting in with Jackson Dart introducing Donald Trump at a rally.
00:07And then you have Abdul Carter, you know, showing up on Twitter saying that, hey, listen, what are you doing
00:12here?
00:12You know, I'm paraphrasing this here.
00:14My question to you, though, Jacob, would be, hey, my question for Abdul Carter would be, hey, show up to
00:20practice on time and show up to meetings on time before you open your face.
00:24But how do you think they handle all of this, the New York Giants?
00:29Yeah, Dan, I think that the Giants have handled this about as well as I think anyone could have expected.
00:34You know, I think their media availability yesterday, John Harbaugh came out, talked about it right away.
00:39And I kind of expected that we weren't going to hear much from Jackson Dart and Abdul Carter.
00:44You often when these sort of like tips or spats emerge, they kind of say we want to keep this
00:49in the locker room and not talk much about it.
00:51And they did say we want to keep our conversations about it private.
00:54But both guys spoke at length.
00:56Jackson Dart gave, I think, a four or five minute statement just kind of explaining why he was at the
01:02Trump rally.
01:03He was invited to speak and he felt like he had to do it sort of thing.
01:06And then Abdul Carter kind of made it clear during his media availability, like there's no hate between him and
01:12Jackson Dart.
01:13You know, he just felt like Dart was standing on his business and he had to stand on his his
01:18own there, too.
01:18So, you know, maybe not the favorite forum for people to see this unfold.
01:23That's kind of the social media era we live in.
01:25But I was really impressed that the Giants had both guys come out and just say, you know, say their
01:30piece, say we don't want to talk about it much moving on.
01:32But they kind of gave everything they needed to give to make this not linger.
01:36So I think they've handled it about as well as they really could have, Dan.
01:40Boy, I'll tell you what, I love your take on that, because if you fully embrace it instead of halfway
01:45embrace it, it's going to linger.
01:47They went out full board, didn't they?
01:49And the New York Giants really didn't hide the players.
01:52You think this maybe galvanizes a team?
01:55I mean, something like this, you know, most people would think it would tear a team apart.
01:59But, you know, hey, everyone has difference of opinions on things, whatever, whoever you ever want to support or not.
02:04But something like this could galvanize a very young football team, though.
02:09Yeah, I think John Harbaugh said it best.
02:11He said, you know, we had some difficult conversations or productive conversations.
02:14I can't remember the exact wording, but he sort of implied that, hey, you're going to have some difficult stuff
02:20in every season.
02:21So for it to be happening now and for them to be able to have to communicate through what's going
02:26on might actually benefit the Giants long term.
02:29And because they've worked it out seemingly in a way that's worked for kind of everybody, this might be a
02:35good sign for them.
02:35I'll be interested to see how this plays out.
02:37But I think they really, you know, there was the messaging after the meeting they had.
02:41There was, I believe, two days before their media availability.
02:43They said they were moving forward from it.
02:45And I think by addressing the entire situation with all parties involved, they really have positioned themselves to move forward.
02:53Like you said, it's not going to linger.
02:54So they can move on.
02:56They can get back to football.
02:57So I think they've really done a good job handling the whole thing.
