India and Uzbekistan signed 11 MoUs and agreements covering education, culture, mineral resources, Ayurveda, and heritage conservation. Both nations elevated their diplomatic ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. A key focus of the bilateral talks was a long-term arrangement for supplying uranium to India to support its nuclear power program and long-term energy security. Discussions also highlighted the expansion of digital public infrastructure, enabling the operation of India's Unified Payments Interface in Uzbekistan to facilitate seamless financial transactions. Additionally, the partnership aims to enhance state-to-state relations, environmental conservation, and bilateral tourism, backed by a foreign minister-level mechanism to monitor future progress across multiple sectors.
