00:06sidelines of the very BRICS summit,
00:09which has now concluded, but the bilaterals definitely still continue.
00:12Right now, it's Prime Minister Modi's bilateral with Kazakhstan President Kassem Jomart Tokayev.
00:18Prime Minister Modi and President Tokayev's bilateral meeting has just been held.
00:23It's a big India-Kazakhstan partnership boost that we are speaking of here.
00:27over several sectors, which include areas of cooperation that include transport, connectivity, critical minerals, energy, investment and trade.
00:37Practical areas of cooperation that, in fact, are being spoken of.
00:41You can see these visuals that have come in from the Bharat Mandapam of the very meeting that's taken place
00:46just a little while back.
00:47The very bilaterals that have been continuing on the sidelines of the summit,
00:54they've each brought reinforcements to India's relationships, some strategic partnerships,
01:01some mutual bonds that we see that India shares with each of the member nations on its own,
01:09independent of the BRICS conglomerate as well.
01:12Now, Pranay Upadhyay joining us on the broadcast.
01:14Pranay, very good afternoon to you.
01:16Well, the summit may have concluded, but the action for India goes on with these bilaterals continuing.
01:21If we speak of Kazakhstan, what are the key takeaways we are learning of from this bilateral meet?
01:28Kazakhstan is an important partner of India in the Central Asian, from the Central Asian region.
01:33And in fact, Kazakhstan is not a full member of the BRICS,
01:36but certainly it became an important dialogue partner in 2025.
01:40And in fact, the president, you know, Kazakhstan Zomarath Tokayev is an important member of the international community.
01:47And in fact, you know, recently, Prime Minister Nareen Modi met Kazakh president on the sidelines of the SCU summit
01:53as well on 1st of September.
01:55And now both leaders are meeting here.
01:58And in fact, as far as the energy supplies are concerned, as far as the energy routes are concerned,
02:02you know, Central Asia's connectivity is concerned about besides that, you know, the critical mineral supplies are concerned.
02:08These are the important areas for, you know, for India and Kazakh leaders to discuss about.
02:13And in fact, when we talk about building supply chain resilience,
02:17when we talk about building the alternative connectivity models and routes and finding ways to do our business,
02:24certainly these are the countries with which India would like to partner.
02:27And in fact, you know, India-Central Asia summit, which took place in 2022,
02:32in fact, Prime Minister Nareen Modi highlighted the importance of Kazakhstan during that.
02:37And he also stressed that cooperation with Central Asian countries is an essential part of regional security and prosperity.
02:44So this is how India looks at Central Asian region at large.
02:48And also Kazakhstan being an important partner of India.
02:51And in fact, these are the areas where India see prospects of increasing our bilateral trade as well,
02:58because the bilateral trade between India and Kazakhstan is currently about $924 million.
03:04And in fact, there is a lot of potential as far as India-Kazakh business needs are concerned.
03:09So I think with this meeting, you know, that bilateral trade and bilateral business cooperation,
03:15economic cooperation is likely to get pushed.
