00:00PNM Chairman Marvin Gonzalez responded to comments made by UNC Senator Anil Roberts about court documents relating to a preliminary
00:08unexplained wealth order involving the construction and refurbishment of PNM properties.
00:14Gonzalez says the PNM will not disclose its legal strategy but is prepared to defend the matter in court.
00:21The PNM will not be beated to discuss our legal strategy on this very serious and sensitive matter.
00:32But as chairman of the party, I want to make it clear and I want to assure the membership of
00:39the PNM that the PNM is ready, the PNM is willing, and the PNM will robustly defend this matter before
00:51the courts.
00:53Gonzalez also challenged Roberts' criticism of the PNM, pointing to his tenure as minister of sport and the life sport
01:00program.
01:01Gonzalez alleged that the program was linked to a serious criminal activity while Roberts was minister.
01:08I want to remind the country that this same Anil Roberts, who should not have been a senator in the
01:16very first place, based on moral and other ethical issues,
01:21concerning his conduct in public affairs, were under his charge as a minister of government, one of the worst programs
01:31that ever took place, sponsored by state money, taxpayers' money,
01:38a program that is referred to as life sport, that resulted in murders and all kinds of serious crimes that
01:48took place when he was the minister.
01:51Gonzalez then turned his attention to the UNC government's plan for 30 police force across the country.
01:58He questioned whether any of the companies receiving contracts for the projects contributed to the UNC's 2025 election campaign or
02:06previous campaigns.
02:07What you see happening today with the construction of 30 police posts all over the country,
02:14I want to ask the UNC whether those contractors that are receiving hundreds of millions of dollars and billions of
02:25dollars in contract,
02:26whether those contractors contributed to its election campaign in 2025 and in previous elections.
