00:00Hi there, following a very warm night in places, it's going to be a humid start to the weekend
00:06but much cooler weather is on the way.
00:09Humidities will be lowering through the weekend, albeit slowly as this cold front moves through.
00:15Now this cold front has brought some showers and thunderstorms.
00:18Any remaining showers and thunderstorms will move along as we start the weekend.
00:23It turns drier once again across England and Wales, southern and eastern Scotland,
00:28a large part of Northern Ireland, mostly dry as well.
00:31Showers by the afternoon, largely focused for northern Scotland, parts of western Scotland.
00:37Otherwise, once again, it's dry for the vast majority.
00:41Sunshine coming through, a bit more cloud compared with recent days.
00:46And yeah, still a humid feel, I think, especially towards the south and southeast.
00:50And we're talking about another day in which temperatures will reach well above average for the time of year,
00:55up to 30 Celsius or so in some spots towards the southeast.
00:59Obviously, that's nowhere near as high as they have been through the week, but very warm nevertheless.
01:05It's feeling fresher, though, towards the north and the west.
01:08Temperatures here returning closer to average for the time of year.
01:11And that fresher, lower humidity air is gradually crossing the country.
01:17It's going to take some time.
01:18So it's going to be another warm night in place.
01:20Not quite as warm, but another warm night for the south and southeast on Saturday night.
01:24Cooler towards the northwest.
01:26Here we've got cloud building ahead of the next weather system that's moving in.
01:30And it's western Scotland, Northern Ireland, Irish Sea Coast,
01:34where we'll see some dribs and drabs of rain by the start of Sunday.
01:37Clear spells dry elsewhere.
01:40And temperatures in many places staying in the teens, if not the high teens, in the far southeast.
01:45So, yeah, warm, just not as warm as it's been.
01:48Fresher towards the north.
01:50Single figures in some sheltered spots where we've got lengthy clear spells.
01:53But it does turn cloudier for many on Sunday morning.
01:56And we've got these outbreaks of rain moving into west of Scotland.
01:59On and off, mostly light.
02:01So, not an especially wet system, this.
02:05And once again, it's bringing the rain to those areas where we least need rain.
02:09And barely a drop where we most need the rain.
02:12Another sunny day for the southern half of the UK.
02:16One or two light showers always possible for Wales.
02:18But otherwise, it's spells of sunshine.
02:21Dry, light winds.
02:23Feeling warm in the sunshine, but nowhere near as hot and humid as it has been.
02:28Temperatures reaching the mid-20s in the south and the southeast.
02:31High teens, low 20s further north and west.
02:35Now, the weather system that brings the cloud and the rain towards the north.
02:39That will move through.
02:40The next one coming along, that's going to bring more meaningful rain in places, even to the south for a
02:47time, middle of the week.
02:48Bit of uncertainty about that.
02:49I say meaningful rain.
02:50I mean, we need an awful lot of wet weather to make up for the severe deficit of this summer
02:56and spring so far.
02:57And 5 to 10 millimetres, which is possible around the middle of the week in the south, albeit uncertain.
03:03That's not going to make much of a difference.
03:06It will change the feel of the weather, of course.
03:08A much cooler and more mixed week of weather ahead.
03:11No heat wave to come during the third week of August.
03:15As low pressure becomes increasingly stationed to the east of the UK and we see winds coming from a cooler
03:21direction, bringing some rain, bringing some showers and bringing a more mixed end to next week.
03:29So, that's the forecast for the next few days, but of course, we'll always keep our days right here on
03:33the YouTube channel.
03:34Bye-bye.
