00:00Hi there, good morning. High pressure builds back in today. That means most places will be dry, but not entirely sunny.
00:08We do have areas of cloud around first thing. The most extensive cloud present through the North Sea into eastern and northern Scotland,
00:15producing some patches of light rain and drizzle, but nothing like the intense thundery downpours some places saw on Thursday.
00:23Meanwhile, plenty of sunshine develops across England, Wales into Northern Ireland,
00:26and it's going to feel warm in the sunshine with generally light winds, but with high pressure towards the northwest,
00:33well, that's going to produce an east-to-northeasterly breeze, and that will eventually allow some of that low cloud to affect the coasts of eastern England,
00:41including parts of Norfolk, for example. Of course, where we've got the low cloud coming back in and the onshore breeze, it's going to feel much cooler.
00:50High teens, low 20s at best, and it's a cooler day on the whole for Scotland, Northern Ireland into Northern England.
00:55High teens, low 20s. But further south, where we do have the sunshine and away from the immediate coast,
01:02temperatures reaching the high 20s or even 31 Celsius, so it's another hot day for many southern parts of England into south Wales as well.
01:12The low cloud that I mentioned, that's in the North Sea, will tend to creep back westwards as the night goes on,
01:18and it's going to reach perhaps as far as east Wales, much of the Midlands, so a cloudy night to come in the east.
01:24Of course, that's going to keep it relatively warm, a muggy night for sleeping in places, but the clearest skies will remain towards the west,
01:33and we'll start off Saturday with plenty of sunshine for Northern Ireland, Western Scotland, much of Wales and the southwest.
01:39That's really the theme as we go into the weekend with that high-pressure holding firm across the northwest of the UK.
01:46Winds coming around in a clockwise fashion. We're going to see a lot of low cloud in the eastern parts, the best of the sunshine towards the west.
01:53But with the isobars also pinching together, I think for Wales and the southwest, despite the sunny skies,
01:59it's going to be increasingly windy at the same time.
02:02So, Saturday starts off with a lot of low cloud, and I think it's going to take time to burn back towards the east,
02:09and even then, it may well linger across parts of northern and eastern England throughout much of the day.
02:14So, not entirely sunny, some areas just keeping the persistent cloud through the day,
02:20even if it is settled and dry with high pressure in charge.
02:24But we will see plenty of sunshine towards the west, especially parts of central, Western Scotland, Northern Ireland,
02:29much of Wales and the southwest, one or two shower clouds just affecting the far southwest there.
02:36Again, where it's going to feel a bit cooler because of the breeze.
02:38But out of the breeze, for parts of South Wales and the west country,
02:42I think temperature is still reaching the mid to high 20s, where we do have the low cloud,
02:47and where it's stubborn to clear back, low 20s to mid 20s more likely.
02:52Then, heading into Saturday night, it's really more of the same with that high pressure in a similar place.
02:57Always a chance of the old shower towards the southwest, extensive low cloud towards the east, in between.
03:03Plenty of settled weather. We'll keep you updated right here on YouTube.
