00:22Najib Razak, said the appointments were made between July 2021 and May 2025.
00:27She testified that her team traced the misappropriated funds through a complex network of offshore entities linked to those involved
00:36in the fraud.
00:37Barkhouse added that her investigations were ongoing, including efforts to pursue parties accused of facilitating the movement or laundering of
00:46the funds.
00:47During cross-examination by Najib's lead counsel, Shafi Abdullah, she agreed that fugitive financier Jolo was among those at the
00:56centre of the 1MDB controversy.
00:58However, Barkhouse stopped short of calling Jolo the main person behind the alleged conspiracy, saying her focus was on those
01:06who received the funds.
01:081MDB is seeking to recover about US$5.64 billion from Najib and several others over funds it alleges were
01:17misappropriated.
01:18The suit, filed in May 2021 by 1MDB and four subsidiaries, also names several former senior 1MDB officials as defendants.
01:28The hearing before Judicial Commissioner Redzwan Idrus continues tomorrow.
