00:00Malaysia could recover another US$2 billion in assets linked to the One Malaysia Development Berhad scandal by the end
00:08of next year.
00:09Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Azam Baki said the assets would be the last of those that were misappropriated.
00:17To date, he said Malaysia has recovered RM31.3 billion or 74.53% of the RM42 billion misappropriated from
00:261MDB as of 2025.
00:28He said the percentage of recovered misappropriated funds was higher than the international standard of about 60% to 70%.
00:37At a press conference, Azam also unveiled four artworks repatriated from New York after being traced to funds linked to
00:441MDB.
00:45Azam said the artworks were returned to Malaysia on April 14 with help from the US Department of Justice,
00:51the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Sotheby's Auction House, and the Attorney General's Chambers.
