00:00PKR's Wong Chen has confirmed his resignation as Subang MP, effective 5pm today.

00:06In a Facebook post, Wong said he met Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul last Wednesday

00:12to hand over his resignation letter.

00:15The timing, according to Wong, was meant to give parliamentary officers three working days

00:20to prepare for the vacancy of the Subang parliamentary seat.

00:24Wong also revealed that he and Johari had a gentleman's agreement

00:28not to release any details until today.

00:31He added that the title Yang Berhormat would be removed from all his correspondence by next month.

00:37The former MP will hold a press conference on Wednesday at 11am.

00:41Wong is among three PKR MPs recently barred from accessing the MyHas portal,

00:46which manages special constituency funding.

00:50Wong, Rodzia Ismail and Lee Chen Chung had all attended the May launch of Bersama,

00:55founded by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nick Nazmi, Nick Ahmad.
