You know, part of the fun going around and seeing these houses is what they actually have to offer on the outside before you get to see the inside.

Now, we talked about whether it’s the panels that might provide a backup system, the air conditioning system, the solar system.

This particularly stood out to me because we had a client and on the outside of the home was a car charger. Traditionally it’s pretty much always located inside the garage and connected to your power source or your electrical grid inside the house.

But this was outside.

I said, oh, how is this working?

Well, it turns out that the charger was powered by a battery storage that was provided by the solar panels, which were located on the roof.

I said, isn’t that something?

Now this is adding value to the home, probably, you know, somewhere in the area of at least $20,000.

00:06Hello everybody my name is Chris Berger and it's time for Berger Point. You know part of the fun
00:12going around and seeing these houses is what they actually have to offer on the outside before you
00:18get to see the inside. Now we talked about you know whether it's the the panels that might
00:24provide a backup system, the air conditioning system, the solar system, and this was particularly
00:33stood out to me because we we had a client and on the outside of the home was a car
00:40charger which
00:42traditionally is pretty much always located inside the garage and connected to your power source or
00:49your electrical grid you know inside the house but this was outside. I said oh what how is this
00:55working? Well it turns out that the charger was powered by a battery storage that was provided
01:04by the solar panels which were located on the roof and I said isn't that something? Now this is adding
01:10value to the home probably you know somewhere in the area of at least $20,000. Now by doing so
01:17because traditionally we think of electrical vehicles in the United States not that many. However
01:24statistically speaking it's about seven and a half percent between electrical vehicles and now
01:30even the plug-in hybrids. So I wanted to show you what this panel looked like and how unique it
01:36is.
01:38And what's unique about this charger is that of course it's attached to the outside of the home
01:45but above it are the solar panels that provide the electricity for it. Essentially free after you
01:54pay for the panels. Over the weekend I got to see a kind of unique concert. It was called the
02:00Happy
02:00Together Tour and it was located in New Hampshire and they had eight different artists providing music
02:09and it was really extraordinary. But one of the things that I saw Gary Puckett in the Union Gap
02:15and actually my wife and I saw him 50 years ago when we were in high school which is absolutely
02:22amazing.
02:23Have a good one.

Did you know that you can put an electric car charger on your home and it will increase the value of your home? Did you also know you can make that charger powered by solar energy? Check this out...
