You know, adding value to your home - seller - buyer - what do you look for?

What are the hidden treasures that you really want?

Well, you know a lot of people are looking for city water, as well a,s a city sewer and the reason for that is because at that point you don’t need a well or you don’t need a septic system.

However, you pay for each individually, each month or quarterly, so always keep that in mind.

Now certainly one of the big things is electricity.

So you want to keep that in mind too because if the power does go out how do you run your home?

Well, I wanted to speak to a little bit about a the GENERAC system or an outdoor generator.

Now, that outdoor generator is connected to the electricity panel inside your home and when the power goes out the generator automatically restarts your entire house.

Now could there be some things in the house that aren’t turned on? Yes, but that’s up to the individual homeowner because the Generac system or the generator system is hooked directly into your panel box and you control the circuit breakers.
Because when you add a generator to your home you’re in fact adding at least ten thousand dollars in value!

So sellers keep that in mind. Buyers certainly keep that in mind.

Let’s take the tour and I’ll show you what I mean…

From left to right - Gas Meter - Electric Meter - A/C Units - Outdoor Generator

You know when you walk around the side of the house - the outside - you can really get a glimpse of what’s going on.

Right there you see the first thing is the gas meter and then the second thing you see is the electric meter, the third thing that you see is the air conditioner units and they have two systems so it’s split and perhaps the most exciting thing is a Generac (outdoor generator) which is a backup generator.

They’re very popular now and power goes out that automatically kick on, but that’s actually fed by natural gas.

So that we go back to the first meter. That’s what feeds the generator.

Now the generator can also be fed by propane gas, but the most popular or the best value for your dollar, of course, is natural gas, if available.

So I just wanted to give you a glimpse of what’s outside the house because you can really tell what’s going on inside when you see what’s there.

And that’s my point!
