00:40No Time to Waste Tour, 2026. We got a couple new songs we've just been putting out leading
00:46up to a new album release. So right now, tonight, we're in Chicago Park West and Stoked to Play.
00:52This is actually our second show in, so still getting stuff dialed in a little bit.
00:58So the drum kit I'm using, I actually borrowed from a great drummer friend in Nashville. His
01:02name's Jack Thomas. He was nice enough to loan me these drums. So this is just a Ludwig maple,
01:09you know, 13, 16, 22. I love this like teal sparkle. I got the pearl eliminator with the Zorro beater,
01:19which I like. Kind of this cool square beater just for really good attack. And I'm rocking the
01:25six and a half Ludwig copper phonics snare.
01:35And loving it, yeah. These heads, the control dot, you know, honestly, tons of attack and stuff.
01:41This is what Jack Thomas gave to me. And I've been just rocking them because the second night in,
01:46I'm like, I'm going to try it out. And I've been liking it. I throw on a couple of moon
01:49gels just so I
01:50keep it a little bit tighter. I just have kind of classic Evans Genera HD snare snare top.
01:58And one thing I've been getting into is actually using the lug locks a lot more because, you know,
02:04playing for an hour and 20 minutes and just slamming the snare drum, it just slips. And the tuning
02:10that sometimes like a lug just gets totally loose. So I've been, I bought these Tama lug locks and then
02:17these, Jack had a few already in there. So I've been supplementing with those. The kick head has a
02:23Power Stroke, Power Stroke three, which honestly is what I always use. I love this one. My other
02:29favorite is like Power Stroke, Remo Power Stroke coated Power Stroke three and the bottom heads. I
02:36haven't even looked at it. I think it's just like a Remo clear ambassador probably. Yeah, exactly.
02:39Um, snare, hazy side, Remo. And then I brought my own symbols. So I, uh, we can talk about this
02:47ride
02:47first. This is the Zildjian Custom Dark Ride 22. I love this ride. Um, there's tons of these rides
02:55in circulation, but they're all 20 inch. Like there's so many 20 inch versions of this ride symbol.
03:01And a good buddy of mine, Andrew Tolman, he's playing drums with Imagine Dragons. At college,
03:06he had this symbol like way years back and I always loved it. And then one popped up and
03:11I just remembered loving it. So I went and checked it out and picked it up actually just right before
03:15tour. Um, so I've been rocking this ride, just a Zildjian 19K Dark Thin Crash, which I like.
03:25And then this is actually one of the new Zildjian symbols. It's the Paper Thin Crash.
03:30And I've been, yeah, I dig it a lot. I just feel like I gotta be a little careful that
03:35it is super
03:36thin. So just like not to get too carried away, you know, when I slam in it, but, um,
03:43just opens up super nice with, with not too much effort. This one is 18. So I'm 18, 19.
03:50What was that? My, I had the 20K Sweet Crash that I love, but I cracked it just like a
03:56little bit
03:56before tour. So I threw in this other one that I like. I like this dark thing. Um, the hi
04:00-hats,
04:01these are the case, the custom session hi-hats. These are like the Steve Gad hi-hats and Steve Gad
04:09is my favorite drummer. So I've had these forever. I think I'm just used to them, you know, they're like
04:14clean. They're not, they're not overbearing. They're not crazy cutting. They're just, I don't know,
04:20they're just like full thick. So I've been rocking those for a while. I'm actually rocking the Vic Firth
04:28Modern Jazz Collection. Um, I'm trying these out. Another, I guess, name drop, or like a shout out
04:36to my buddy Jordan Rose in New York. So he's, I don't know, before the tour, I'm like, what have
04:40you
04:40been playing lately? I don't know. Drummers always want to talk like, what six have you been using?
04:45What would, you know, for this style gig, this size? So I've been trying these out. They got a good
04:49weight
04:49to it, somewhere between like 5A, 5B, a little bit longer, I think. So I've been using those. This is
04:57uh, the brand new, yeah, the brand new Roland SPD-SX Pro. And I had the original one for the
05:06last like
05:06nine years, and I just wanted to upgrade the triggers. Uh, I use a snare and kick trigger,
05:13and just the single trigger. And I just, for some of the songs are the strike, um, the music's kind
05:21of 80s influence. So there's a lot of Simmons style snare drums. They have like the really big
05:27gooshy snare drum. So just some of the songs I found, like I'll blend in the snare to get a
05:31little bit
05:32longer reverb tails, a little bit like more oomph, and uh, hybrid with the samples. And the pad is cool.
05:39I will say like the new, this new pad, the edit functions are amazing. It comes with like a four
05:45band EQ. Um, the onboard effects are great. And I even, even like there's like a transient designer,
05:52you can adjust the attack, um, and sustain or like roll the attack, slow the attack. And so I've been
05:59liking it a lot. This is kind of my first week with it. And it's really, really great. And the,
06:05the app for the laptop is really, and when you first open it up, you're like, whoa, I got a
06:11ton
06:11more control over it, but it's got great features and I'm loving it so far. I also have the rock
06:16and
06:16sock thrown. I personally like the corkscrew more than the hydraulics. Sometimes with the hydraulic,
06:24I don't know, I'm getting a little too bouncy going on. So that I feel like this is more sturdy
06:27for me.
06:27Um, in-ears, I have custom in-ears, but sometimes I find, um, I rock these Shure 215s and I'll,
06:36I'll buy these, um, triple flange tips. And just as a drummer, I just jam these in and it, it,
06:43I can really like isolate a bit more, um, some of the noise and really hear the mix better.
06:48So I've been using these lately. And then as far as running the show, we have a redundant playback
06:55here. So we have the play audio 12, which is amazing. And basically from here, we're running
07:04Ableton, um, all the tracks. And if anything happens, if there's like a hiccup or anything,
07:09it will just transfer right to computer B. So it's kind of a backup, um, backup laptop.
07:16And outside of that, we just have, we have like a wireless mic, um, for some extra vocal,
07:22like processing and effects on a few songs. And then this is just our IEM, our in-ear monitor rack
07:28down here. Um, so we're on just, we all just are on the Sennheiser wireless packs.
07:36So that's what we're, we're using for this tour. And it's been going well. Yeah. Thanks.
