00:16kit endorsed by Blackwood Drums. They're out of California. Travis makes amazing drums. He
00:23makes great stave drums. He makes great metal drums and I used to have a stave kit from him
00:28and I loved it and I toured it really really hard on our first record and you
00:34know I backlined a lot of shows with that kit and for this tour I wanted something
00:39new and I wanted a metal kit and I went with copper. He made me a copper kit. The
00:45sizes are 24, 14, and 18. The 14 inch Tom is 6 lug. I like low tuned big drums and I
00:57don't know these drums are amazing. They are ungodly heavy. The kick is you know
01:03upwards of 50 pounds and I love it. I mean this kit is amazing. For the heads on
01:10this tour I definitely go between just like coded Emperor Remos and these black
01:16dots here. I do find myself often going back to the controlled sound black dot but
01:23yeah I mean on my snare I'm just rocking an Emperor Remos. The snare is actually not a
01:29Blackwood it's a Monaro. My friend Salvatore that plays in a band called
01:34Private Mind makes these snares for his homies and you know for a select few. The
01:41size is a 14 by 6 and a half and yeah I mean it's it's a steel handmade carbon steel
01:51drum that is thick and loud and it cuts and it's it's no bullshit. It's just it's
01:58a drum. It's great. On the resonant heads I'm rocking just ambassadors. A snare
02:04side ambassador on my snare and the ambassador Remo ambassadors on the
02:08single ply on the bottom. For the kick head I always rock a Power Stroke 3, a Remo Power
02:14Stroke 3. I mean it doesn't really get much better than that. It sucks I went into this
02:20tour with a like 70s a vintage 70s 15-inch I think it was like a Zeke custom
02:26some some some some older Zildjian bottom high hat but it broke on this tour so I
02:33went and picked up a I have a K-Suite on the bottom and on the top I have a 15-inch
02:40fat hat it's got that good chunk it cuts it's it's it's it's a good high hat on the
02:48left I have a 22-inch paper-thin crash this crash is awesome it changes all the
02:54time every tour I've done with it it like you know it's gotten quieter then it's
03:00gotten louder again it's it's it's a really diverse symbol and I love having a
03:04big symbol on the left I'm always rocking the 24 light ride I got two of them I
03:09keep them in rotation we're one down so far on this tour and we'll see if someone
03:14makes it through the night I got this sweet crash I've never had a sweet crash
03:19before I'm I usually rock a dark thin K crash here in 20 but it broke so I
03:27picked up a sweet crash and it's awesome it's a great symbol right here I got this
03:32cluster crash I got these little janglies that my homie Kaden from pool kids made
03:38for me and yeah throw it on there just so it sounds like shit it's awesome
03:44six I rock Vic Firth 2b yeah I mean it doesn't really get much better than a
03:51pair of Vic Firth 2b's so yeah they're perfectly balanced so yeah throne is kind of
03:59weird it's a Carmichael throne so I like went through this weird bout where I had
04:05like sciatica and like any pressure on like the bottom of my like the top of
04:10my ass really it was just like killing me and so I got this throne and it has
04:15this little cut out here and people hate to use it but it's awesome for me I have
04:20this snare weight I put it on my floor tom I think it just takes like a little bit
04:26of the ringiness out and I mean on tour it's hard enough to tune your all your
04:31drums every single day when you don't have a ton of time so I mean it does help
04:36a lot but just kind of being and I like myself super low and our front of house
04:41guys sometimes like yo man like it's a little bit too wall-y so yeah that helps I
04:47got the snare weight on there kick pedals DW 9000 single pedal I got the wood beater
04:54but I got it turned around to the plastic side just to have that little bit of
04:57extra weight on it and that has helped me a ton I feel like with doubles and
05:03whatnot another DW 9000 stand and then all the hardwares DW 9000 except for this I
05:11also have the DW 9000 rack tom stand and I don't I like my stand I don't I like a
05:19rack tom that is hanging I prefer that I like to have my stuff a little bit over the
05:25kick where you're not gonna be able to get a regular snare stand or a tom stand in
05:31that position yeah this is my kid our record baby's out now we're the best
05:39come see us yeah we're on tour now we'll be on tour in fall we got you know plans
05:46for the entire world that this this coming year and yeah it's gonna be safe
