00:09He was on the IL, came up, pitched pretty decent.
00:13I mean, he's a middle back-end rotation guy.
00:17I think he's got pretty good stuff when healthy here.
00:20I thought Miami should have and could have won that game last night,
00:25but the bullpen let him down a little bit there late.
00:27But an opportunity to get back and a lot of questions in that Met locker room
00:33to me here, which has got to be Advantage Miami.
00:37Yeah, you would think so, but you don't know what can happen on any given day.
00:41But, yeah, I mean, the Mets, if I'm not mistaken,
00:44they also made an IL move today,
00:46and they put a left-handed pitcher on the IL and called up two other guys.
00:50So the Mets aren't quite playing, Joe, with a mash unit yet,
00:55but we're getting close.
00:56You know, when you trade a pitcher and then you scratch another
00:59and then you put another on the injured list, it's getting to that point.
01:02So I understand the notion there.
01:04As far as Junk is concerned, Joe, I mean, he can pitch six innings,
01:08but he's more or less been a five-inning pitcher,
01:09like a lot of the pitchers are in the big leagues.
01:11And he's been a little hit or miss.
01:14I think that's fair to say.
01:15What I saw last night in that game between the Marlins and Mets was,
01:19I came away thinking, you know, look,
01:21I think the Marlins definitely are better than the Mets.
01:23There's no question, but I came away wondering, Joe,
01:26how that Mets team with Juan Soto lost so many games.
01:30Like, this is not a bad team on paper.
01:32They have, like, I'm watching the game,
01:34and they have Benj and Ewing and Lindor and, you know, Simeon, Bichette.
01:39Like, I mean, you can understand how the Mets are pissed.
01:43Like, I mean, it doesn't really make a lot of sense.
01:45It seems like a pretty okay team to me.
01:46And I think that's the difference between what we're watching right now
01:51with the Mets versus, like, let's say, a Sacramento or a Kansas City
01:56or even Detroit at some point.
01:59They'll probably be completely out of it.
02:00So you're talking about teams that are 15, 16, 17, 20 games under 500,
02:04but those teams in Colorado are genuinely horrible.
02:07Like, the Mets have a $300 million payroll,
02:09and they have big league players who are going to be looking to salvage
02:13the second half of the season.
02:14It's a different scenario, so don't be surprised, Joe, to see the Mets.
02:19They may not win a lot, but don't be surprised if they're in a lot of games
02:22the rest of the year.
02:23They have quality guys and former quality guys, too.
02:27You know, Polanco may be the exception to the rule there.
02:29I don't know what happened to him.
02:30He's batting at $1.50.
02:31He looks horrible.
02:32He shouldn't be on the field.
02:32But everybody else they have are former All-Stars and former good players.
02:37So I don't think anyone's going to roll over the Mets,
02:41but the Mets, what will happen, Joe, will probably blow some leads.
02:43You know, that kind of thing.
02:45And in a game like tonight with Senga, I mean, it would be a miracle
02:49if he threw two good innings.
02:51I think that's probably all they're looking for tonight from him
02:53is just to make him – honestly, Joe, if he threw two shutout innings,
02:57I think they would take him out just so he feels good leaving the park.

03:01I think that's probably what they would do.
03:03Yeah.
03:04And, yeah, eight and a half is a total, I'll tell you right now.
03:07I think their runs are coming because I do think Miami, the bats,
03:10will absolutely be able to get to Senga.
03:13And I keep hearing Luke Weaver's name mentioned with a lot of teams.
03:17He did a great job of turning it around.
03:20And he's been one of the most consistent arms in that Mets bullpen this year.
03:24He was a little – didn't go quite well last year with the Yankees.
03:28Didn't start off great this year with the Mets, but he has been solid.
03:32He would be a tremendous acquisition for bullpens on some contenders here.
03:39But I do – I like your Marlins here tonight to get back going.
03:43What do you make of some of these home road splits?
03:47I meant to ask you this yesterday.
03:49You know, going down the list of some of these guys, I mean, we talked about Woo.
03:54What a ridiculous home road.
03:56Even – I'm looking at junk right now.
03:58The home road splits on some of these pitchers is just – it's night and day.
04:03And it's not always their graded home and bed on the road.
04:07Sometimes it's the other way around.
04:08Why such a difference sometimes with that this year?
04:12Yeah, I'm not really sure, Joe.
04:14Joe, if they knew the answer, I guess that's why they get paid the big bucks.
04:18You know, I really don't know the answer to that.

04:21He's been fantastic in Seattle.
04:23And the second he leaves Seattle, he hasn't been good at all.
04:26So, you know, hard for me to say.

04:29I mean, obviously following Miami, I mean, I'm watching their games every day.
04:33And I think they have the third least or fourth least wins in all of baseball on the road.

04:40They just seemingly are just playing better at home.
04:42And, by the way, Tampa Bay is 64-44.
04:45Take a look at their road record.
04:47It ain't that good, you know?
04:48Yeah, they got 40 wins at home.

04:53Yeah, I mean, I think the Rays have the most wins in baseball at home.
04:56They have Milwaukee, one of the two.
04:58So, yeah, so that's kind of the dynamic there.
05:00But, you know, those kind of small ball teams, Joe, they usually find ways to take advantage of their ballpark
05:05at home.
05:06It's happening.
05:07Milwaukee does a lot of bunting.
05:09Tampa does a lot of bunting.
05:10Miami plays a lot of small ball.
05:12You know, it's not a coincidence, I think, that those teams have records.
05:15Slug will get you a great record on the road because the three-run home run just changes the game.
05:20But in this case, maybe that has something to do with it.
