00:00Good evening, you're watching To The Point. I'm Preeti Chaudhary. These are the headlines.
00:06Rahul Gandhi accuses Home Minister Amit Shah of giving orders to open fire on protesters on July 20th, demands his
00:13resignation and Supreme Court monitored probe.
00:17BJP SLAM's leader of opposition accuses him of spreading lies, demands apology.
00:25Anti-paper leak bill passed in Lok Sabha via voice vote.
00:29The bill passed via voice vote in midst of ruckus. The legislation will be tabled in Rajya Sabha next.
00:41Amid showdown, one-day matram bill passed in Rajya Sabha. Bill will now criminalise insult of one-day matram with
00:48imprisonment up to three years, a fine or both.
00:56Controversy snowballs over Kangana Ranaut's remarks. Actor Sonu Soodh calls BJP MP's remarks shameful.
01:03Kangana responds to CJP spokesperson Jaip called Saurav Das useless and unemployed.
01:17Stop story viewers, the anti-paper leak bill has finally been cleared in Lok Sabha.
01:23The debate, most explosive moments, had little to do with the bill itself though.
01:27Rahul Gandhi accused the Home Minister Amit Shah of authorising pellet gun use on student protesters.
01:33Repeated the charge even after parts of his remarks were expunged, triggering a massive showdown with the Treasury benches.
01:40The government hit back, the opposition walked out. Rahul Gandhi held a press conference outside, asking for the Home Minister's
01:47resignation.
01:48As we speak, the BJP holding a press conference. But here's more.
02:12The anti-paper leak bill is passed after nearly two days of heated debate in the Lok Sabha.
02:18But the final day wasn't about the bill. It became a bitter political showdown over the student protest and the
02:26July 20 police crackdown.
02:29Day two began with leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi taking the floor.
02:33But instead of dissecting the bill, Rahul turned the spotlight on the July 20 crackdown.
02:39After his comments on Home Minister Shah was expunged, Rahul repeated his charge that it was Home Minister Amit Shah
02:46who authorised the use of pellet guns against protesting students and demanded an explanation.
02:53Mr. Amit Shah was responsible for the brutality that was carried out.
03:02There are two possibilities. Possibility number one is he gave the order to shoot people with pellet guns,
03:11to beat people with latties with nails, to use electric buttons on people,
03:19or he didn't know it was happening. If he didn't know it was happening, he's incompetent.
03:31The allegation triggered a storm inside the house. Treasury benches erupted in protest. Ministers were on their feet.
03:40Mr. Amit Shah, you can think you're so wrong. You can't do it. You're doing what you're doing without thinking,
03:49thinking by using it, and who got a firearm. How can you do it? How can you do it?
03:56How can you do this? Rahul Gandhi. You should talk with Naitapipak,
04:12As the chair struggled to restore order.
04:33As the chair struggled to restore order.
05:04Union Minister Jitendra Singh rejected the allegations,
05:08saying the Home Minister neither orders police action nor firing.
06:04The confrontation then turned personal.
06:07During the heated exchange, Rahul Gandhi used an expression described in unparliamentary by the Treasury benches.
06:15The chair ordered the remark to be expunged from the House records, giving the Treasury benches another opportunity to target
06:23the opposition.
06:23But beyond the political theatre, the pellet gun controversy refuses to go away.
06:30India Today had earlier reported that at least four student protesters suffered pellet injuries during the July 20 crackdown.
06:38Hospital records accessed by India Today documented pellet wounds.
06:43With the opposition staging a walkout, the Treasury benches passed the anti-paper leak bill.
06:49The question is that, these days of service would not be attached to the power of service.
07:06The question is, one day of service, then the whole name of service is called Vyrozen.

07:48The bill has been passed, but Parliament's fiercest battle
07:53wasn't over-exam reforms.
07:55It was over the crackdown that followed the protest.
07:58The legislation may promise tougher action against paper leaks,
08:03but the questions over the July 20 police action,
08:06the alleged use of pellet guns,
08:08and who must answer for it, are far from settled.
08:12Bureau Report, India Today.
08:16Joining me right now is Mr. GVL Rao,
08:19former Raju Sabhai MP, senior BJP leader.
08:22He joins us live.
08:23Mr. Rao, thank you for taking the time out,
08:25joining us this evening.
08:26A lot of what Rahul Gandhi had said in Parliament
08:29was expunged, Mr. Rao,
08:30but he made up for it in that press conference a short while ago.
08:33The direct charge of the opposition now is very clear.
08:36They are asking for the resignation of the Home Minister
08:38because the opposition claims
08:40that orders for the use of pellet guns for the brandishing
08:43and the use of an AK-47 in Bihar
08:46came at the orders of the Home Minister.
08:49Good evening to you and all the viewers.
08:53I think Rahul Gandhi has been desperately trying to gain
08:57a political mileage from the student protests,
09:02and therefore, he's only trying to make up
09:05for the opportunity lost by engaging in falsehood.
09:11On the floor of the House,
09:13Rahul Gandhi's claims have been countered.
09:17And Rahul Gandhi will have to apologize this time.
09:22He has done this umpteen times so far.
09:24He has apologized to the Supreme Court
09:27for lying on the Rafal issue.
09:29He has, in the past, apologized to a court
09:34for making personal abusive comments
09:37to the entire, to all those who have the surname Modi.
09:42I think this has become a very,
09:44he's become a routine offender.
09:46I think he's only trying to make this new demand,
09:50only to somehow try and gain political advantage
09:54out of the student protests.
09:56And BJP will certainly call his bluff.
10:00Well, you know, the BJP has attempted to call
10:03what you say is his bluff in Parliament as well.
10:05You had Dr. Jitendra Singh's response says that
10:08the use of weapons during a crisis situation
10:11is the call of the local administration
10:13and not the Home Minister.
10:15But do you think that the opposition
10:17is going to spin it in such a way
10:19that at least where the optics are concerned?
10:24You bring in, after the education minister,
10:27the Home Minister.
10:29No, I think he will definitely fail in his attempt.
10:34The Congress party certainly feels very unhappy
10:38about the manner in which the entire student protests.
10:43They were unable to gain advantage of it.
10:45And therefore, he's trying to grab the initiative.
10:48That is at one level, a political,
10:50I would say, a desperate attempt.
10:53And at another level,
10:55it is also to find some other excuse
10:57to let Parliament not function.
11:01We have seen how on several occasions,
11:04we have seen every time a Parliament session begins,
11:07there is some new controversy that is brought up.
11:10The Congress has always been looking for excuses
11:13to somehow stall Parliament.
11:15And this is certainly one more attempt
11:18to make a demand which certainly will be vehemently opposed
11:21by the BJP.
11:22And I'm not allowed Parliament to function.
11:26It's nothing but stalling tactics.
11:28All right, Mr. Rao, thank you for joining us.
11:30I'm going to cut across to the BJP press conference.
11:32Like Mr. Rao said,
11:33that the BJP is not going to take this sitting down.
11:35It's a press conference of Rahul Gandhi,
11:38followed now by a press conference of Mr. Sambit Patra.
11:41Listen in.
11:47When the President is given to the Raghul Gandhi,
11:53he also has given several actions.
11:55Why not be given to Rahul Gandhi Ji to the Raghul Gandhi Ji,

16:46being convened
16:47by the bjp

16:52who said
16:53that we all
16:54know
16:54orders of
16:56using a
16:57certain weapon
16:58or force
16:59doesn't quite
16:59come from the
17:00home minister
17:01in situations
17:02of duress
17:02stress
17:03especially
17:04managing a

17:05it comes
17:05from the
17:06police personnel
17:07on ground
17:08the sdm
17:09and that is
17:09common knowledge
17:10you're trying to
17:11trap the home

17:46you've had
17:47dr. jitendra
17:47singh mr. hudda
17:48who said
17:49that you're
17:49trying to
17:50basically pin
17:51the blame
17:51political blame
17:52on the home
17:53minister
17:53when the congress
17:54knows very well
17:55in a situation
17:57like a protest
17:58like a riot
17:59the use of
18:00force
18:01and how to
18:02escalate the
18:02use of force
18:03in terms of
18:04weapon
18:04lies with the
18:05police officers
18:06on ground
18:07at west
18:08the local
18:08sdm and dm
18:10and you're
18:10trying to
18:11basically
18:11trap the
18:12home minister
18:12in this
18:16see there are
18:17two questions
18:18on that
18:19two issues
18:20at hand
18:21first of all
18:22i was listening
18:23to the press
18:23conference by
18:24sambit patra
18:25my friend
18:26from bjp
18:27also a colleague
18:28in parliament
18:31he's absolutely
18:32the press
18:33you know
18:33some of the
18:34things that
18:35sambit patra
18:36said in the
18:36bjp headquarters
18:37are actually
18:39bunch of lies
18:40i would say
18:41unfortunate
18:43i'll start
18:44with one
18:45issue which
18:45is rahul
18:48ji leader
18:48of opposition
18:49not getting
18:49time to
18:50speak in
18:51the house
18:52and i would
18:54go on to
18:55say that
18:56it's not just
18:56rahul ji
18:57who has not
19:00been given
19:01time to
19:02speak
19:02it's the
19:02entire
19:02opposition
19:04congress
19:05party and
19:05the opposition
19:06has not
19:07been given
19:07adequate time
19:08to speak
19:09on this
19:10issue which
19:11has been
19:11the trend
19:12with this
19:13bjp government
19:14not just
19:15for one
19:15year two
19:16years but
19:16for 12
19:17years
19:18even in
19:18this debate
19:19on the
19:20record i'm
19:20saying from
19:21the congress
19:22party we were
19:23supposed to be
19:2330 there were
19:24supposed to be
19:2513 speakers
19:25the government
19:27had initially
19:27agreed for 12
19:29hour debate and
19:30said that it
19:30could be even
19:31extended but as
19:35soon as the
19:35debate started
19:36they reduced the
19:38time of the
19:39debate to about
19:41eight hours from
19:4212 hours and
19:43out of the 13
19:45speakers from the
19:47congress party
19:48seven did not
19:49even get a chance
19:50to speak not
19:51utter a single
19:52word even
19:55before raulji
19:56spoke today even
19:57yesterday i was
19:58interrupted after i
20:00spoke for about
20:01seven or eight
20:01minutes i was
20:03supposed to speak
20:03for 15 minutes i
20:04was interrupted by
20:06piyush goelji and
20:07sanjay jeswal and
20:10as soon as i
20:11started putting
20:12questions to
20:13government on
20:13behalf of the
20:14youth of this
20:14country the
20:15gen x of this
20:16country the
20:17gen z as we
20:19call them the
20:20same questions
20:21that were being
20:21put at the
20:22protest sites and
20:23when we were
20:24started to put
20:24those questions
20:25they started to
20:26intervene it
20:28happened today as
20:30soon as rahulji
20:30started speaking
20:32bjp members and
20:34ministers continuously
20:36started to disturb
20:37him i was
20:38listening to
20:38sambit patra who
20:39was saying that
20:41he he said one
20:43word he used of
20:44one word which
20:44was unparliamentary
20:45by the way he
20:46did not when he
20:48used the word
20:50idiot which is in
20:52the question that
20:53bjp is saying he
20:55did not even say
20:56who is he talking
20:57about but as
20:58soon as he would
20:59say the word idiot
21:00the entire bjp
21:01would stand up
21:03and it is the
21:04same bjp who
21:06are talking about
21:06parliamentary
21:07propriety and
21:08preaching parliamentary
21:09propriety today
21:10their members like
21:12nishikam dubey the
21:14kind of vocabulary
21:15they have used
21:15against our late
21:17prime minister
21:18neheruji our late
21:20prime minister
21:21indiraji and about
21:24all the congress
21:25leaders and members
21:26continuously the kind
21:28of vocabulary they
21:29openly use in the
21:30house i mean the
21:33kind of absolute
21:35double standards at
21:37play here are
21:39appalling but mr
21:41huda you speak of
21:41the double standards
21:42where their idea was
21:44they did not want
21:46this debate
21:46they did not want
21:48this debate i
21:49alleged that they
21:50did not want this
21:51debate this was not
21:53a debate that not a
21:54bill which they
21:55have brought in by
21:56heart in fact they
21:58wanted to quell the
21:59voice of the youth
22:01they had put they
22:03have all the police
22:04brutality and police
22:05force they had
22:06tried to cause the
22:08protest but when it
22:10went out of hand
22:12overnight they
22:13announced the
22:14nilakani committee
22:15they announced this
22:16bill then they
22:18that even that did
22:19not solve their
22:20purpose that they
22:20had to announce
22:21dharminder pradhan
22:22resignation and
22:25prime minister had
22:25to come and make
22:27appearance on
22:27instagram
22:28but huda ji the
22:28counter charge
22:29huda ji the
22:30counter charge from
22:31the bjp is
22:32the counter charge
22:34huda ji from the
22:35bjp is that the
22:37congress was unable
22:38to leverage political
22:39mileage of a
22:40student's protest
22:41therefore they have
22:42changed the goalpost
22:43in parliament you
22:44asked for the
22:45resignation first you
22:47began with a
22:47discussion you wanted
22:48a discussion then you
22:49change the goalpost for
22:51a resignation of the
22:52education minister you
22:53got that now you want
22:54the resignation of the
22:55home minister while
22:57you had dr jitendra
22:59saying who said in
23:00parliament that you know
23:02better that ultimately
23:04on ground where there's a
23:05riot like situation as
23:06per the government or
23:07there is a protest the
23:09use of force and the
23:10escalation of that force
23:12to crack down on the
23:13protesters is taken by
23:15local police officers on
23:17ground or at best sdm and
23:19dm you're directly asking
23:20for the resignation of the
23:21home minister
23:27see now it is not
23:31anybody who's changing
23:32the goalpost it is not
23:34that we are playing a
23:37game here or a match here
23:38or football match that
23:40you are talking about
23:40goalpost it is the
23:42changing circumstances
23:44for the last three or
23:47four months the country
23:48and its students and
23:51the youth have been
23:54asking for the
23:54resignation of the
23:56education minister that
23:58was the goal of the
24:00agitation that we saw
24:01that was the goal of
24:02chatro ki goonj
24:04agitation by the
24:05congress party also that
24:07was the goal for which
24:10the agitation was taking
24:11place at jantar mantra
24:12and elsewhere in the
24:13country that was the
24:15aim but where did the
24:17home ministry get in
24:19i'm saying it's not
24:19change congress changing
24:21any goalposts for any
24:22political thing it is the
24:23changing circumstances
24:24the day delhi police
24:27applied brutal force
24:29trying to quell the
24:33students movement in
24:35delhi and which was
24:37followed up by police
24:41supplying great force
24:43across the country
24:44including yesterday i'm
24:47saying changing
24:47circumstances are
24:49changing every day
24:50yesterday morning that
24:52video went viral which
24:54was day before yesterday
24:55ak-47 was fired at the
24:57student protesters in
24:58bihar the after the
25:01application of brutal
25:03police force by various
25:05state police including delhi
25:07police which comes under
25:09home ministry directly
25:11and the matter of law and
25:13order comes under home
25:15ministry which is quite
25:18it's quite a i mean we
25:20have to have a
25:21but you know yourself you
25:23are a local mp you know
25:24when a protest breaks out
25:26local police take the call
25:29the sdm takes the call to
25:31escalate from force to
25:33lathe charge to tear gas or
25:35to water cannon
25:36pretty on this on this on
25:37this on on on on this on
25:39this i tend to differ we have
25:44also been in state in
25:46governments we have been
25:48opposition in governments we
25:50know whenever a application of
25:53force to the extent of a
25:55lathe charge even a lathe
25:57charge takes place later i
25:59mean pellet gun firing and
26:01ak-47 firing and you know the
26:04asu gas and water cannons even
26:07for lathe charge typically
26:09political clearance is taken by
26:14the minister involved or the
26:16chief ministers in the state it
26:18is always whenever there is a
26:21firing always you look at
26:23indian democracy it is always the
26:27chief minister or the home
26:28minister of that state who are
26:30held responsible here the delhi
26:33police comes under home
26:34minister so what it cannot be just
26:38passed on to and that trahuji
26:41said uh clearly in his press
26:43conference also today that if
26:46clearance was not taken that is the
26:49standard of the government that all
26:50these firings and brutal application
26:52of police force to quash the student
26:55protest everywhere across the country
26:57okay taking place without any political
27:00clearance then but the home minister
27:02should say that but hudhaji i'm going to ask you
27:06okay so you're saying a minister is my the
27:09permission needs to be taken running the
27:11home ministry then okay that's your
27:13that's your political point but who
27:14does you have to ask you one question
27:16the fact is that the education
27:20minister's resignation has come at the
27:22behest of not so much the opposition and
27:25the congress it's come directly and you
27:26will bear that out it's come in because
27:29there were students who were protesting
27:31it's coming because of them do you think
27:34now you'd be able to get in the home
27:37minister's resignation where even the
27:39education minister's education came at
27:41the behest of students and not so much
27:42the opposition
27:47see now here you're right there is
27:55any agitation like to the scale that we
27:59saw comes from a section of our society
28:04who feel aggrieved by a government action
28:07such as similarly farmer protest took
28:09place for one year farmers were sitting
28:11750 of our farmers their dead bodies
28:13returned to their villages i myself had
28:16attended so many of those funerals but
28:20there is a role of the opposition when
28:21such agitation takes place because the
28:24section of the society is feeling
28:25aggrieved by the government's action so
28:27opposition then raises that voice
28:30strongly in a principal opposition party
28:32can either support the agitating section
28:37of the society or they can support the
28:40government stand on that particular
28:42matter congress party and the rest of
28:44the opposition parties they decided to
28:46also stand with our students and
28:49congress party was already our student
28:53organization national student unit of
28:55india we were already having a chhatro
28:57ki goons program for the last three
28:59months myself i was leading a protest three
29:02months back in kurkshetra where water
29:04cannon was directly at me and by special
29:09orders it was just focused on me so we were
29:13fighting also the stew but it is a student's
29:16victory it is a the gen z who has won this
29:19battle i'm glad sir you're giving giving
29:21the credit where due responsible opposition
29:23party we we we we we we stood with them and we
29:29fought the battle too rahul ji took you
29:32remember all the rmps lead in the uh in the
29:35leadership of rahul ji we went to prime
29:37minister's residence and staged a dharna there and
29:40we were forcibly removed by delhi police
29:42there etc you're saying you assisted the
29:44students but i'm glad you're giving credit
29:46to the students i want to ask you one
29:47quick question with this okay before i let
29:50you go the bjp saying very clearly that
29:52rahul gandhi will need to apologize if not
29:55right now in front of the media then in
29:57court they will not let the accusations
30:00like this pass on the home minister
30:07see i think unfortunately instead of the bjp
30:14this is the arrogance the quantum of
30:17arrogance that this government carries with
30:19itself this is a reflection of that in
30:22they should be apologizing to the youth of
30:24this country they should be apologizing to
30:27the gen z of this country for the kind of
30:30the manner in which they have treated and
30:32they continue to treat you look at the look at
30:35what's happening now after the police
30:38brutality there's a further crackdown of
30:41all the students or all the young people
30:43whose memes got viral or whose social media
30:47they got some virality their ex accounts
30:50are being taken out some of them are being
30:53rounded up by the local polices even some bjp
30:56leaders there's some satyam pandit bjp leader
30:59in gaziabad who's just you know who's
31:01started abusing and beating so you're
31:03saying you're going to keep taking it up
31:04asking them that why did you park you know
31:06participate yeah so i mean you look at
31:09what's happening now i mean okay their mp is
31:11calling them a generation gutter one one of
31:14their ex uh state president in haryana mr
31:18dhankar call them uh you know gaddar deshke
31:22gaddaroko and those kind of slogans so
31:24the bjp's uh crackdown and witch hunt against
31:28the gen z is a reflection of their uh arrogance
31:34and actually the it's the bjp government it's
31:36not not just the uh not just the resignation
31:38see resignation was one thing but look at
31:42manner in which uh mr dharminder pradhan was
31:44celebrated after resignation that shows that
31:47the arrogance is still there they are they don't so that's the all this what you are seeing in the
31:54parliament now that's all the time that we have for now thank you for taking the time out and answering
31:59all our questions the congress is very clear they're going to keep at it they're going to demand now the
32:04resignation of the home minister the bjp having none of it they're going to take rahul gandhi to court make
32:08him apologize
32:09uh they say that the congress has shifted goalposts from wanting a discussion to the education minister's resignation and now
32:16the home minister's resignation while in all of this at least the congress admits that it was the students who
32:22actually got in the resignation of the education minister so the politics playing on the sidelines but there has been
32:28a fair amount of inspiration from one generation to the other the student movement over paper leaks may have begun
32:34a janitor mantra but its message is now reaching schools classrooms from gen
32:39gen z to gen alpha students in uttar pradesh arabistan launching their own small protests for basic dignity in education
32:49take a look
33:01the movement against a broken education system is no longer just a gen z story
33:17after weeks of protests over paper leaks and accountability gen alpha has now found its voice
33:31this time the protest came from a government school in uttar pradesh's fatehpur
33:39hundreds of students of the sarvodaya intercollege walked out of the classrooms gathering outside the school gates and demanding their
33:46basic rights
33:56they were demanding drinking water working fans electricity benches toilets and clean classrooms

36:22An India Today investigation found that while remote schools struggle with vacancies, several
36:27well-connected teachers have secured postings near cities in schools with barely any students.
36:35Following these reports, the education department took action and has now deployed teachers
36:40on a deputation basis to more than 80 government schools in the district, aiming to restore
36:44the long-disrupted teaching system.
36:49From paper leaks to broken classrooms, from missing fans to missing teachers, India's
37:01student movement is evolving, because this generation isn't just demanding fair exams,
37:06it's demanding schools that actually work.
37:15With Nitish Srivastava and Sharath Kumar, we're a report, India Today.
37:23Alright, there's a bit of Gen Z dust rubbing off in Gen Alpha.
37:27Alright, meanwhile, yesterday, BJP MP Kangana Renaud sparked a massive controversy with a
37:32long Instagram post, in which she primarily painted an entire generation of Gen Z women
37:38with the same brush, calling them ugly, corrupt, not even worth becoming housemakers, claiming
37:45that they contribute nothing to society.
37:47This was our take yesterday on what she had said on Instagram.
37:54So here goes, Ms. Renaud.
37:56There is but a deep irony in someone like you, a young woman who built her career on her own
38:02terms with immense hard work.
38:07How dare women be crass, how dare women be angry, how dare women occupy public spaces without
38:16first proving they are dignified enough to deserve that space.
38:20That is the burden we women have carried for generations, the burden of respectability.
38:27And it is precisely that burden these young women refuse to carry.
38:34Because, Ms. Renaud, we are millennials.
38:37We cared.
38:37We measured every word.
38:39We watched every step.
38:40We carried the burden of respectability everywhere we went.
38:44They don't.
38:46And dare we millennial women pass that burden of respectability on to them.
38:51They deserve better because we know we deserved better.
38:55And from us women, a generation above them today, instead of contempt, they need, if not
39:00loud, a silent hat tip.
39:03Also, for the record, contrary to what you said on drugs, alcohol, data stands testimony
39:07that this generation is actually drinking a lot less, doing a lot less drugs than our generation.
39:15So that, Ms. Renaud and viewers, is a millennial woman's rant.
39:19For the Gen Z reaction, Ms. Renaud, you may check out the memes on Instagram for what Gen Z has
39:25to say about you and your comment.
39:30Well, today, parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut directly chose to address us and said, I just want
39:37to quote her because she posted on social media attaching a video with it.
40:06She also posted her statement on Instagram.
40:09This is what she said.
40:27Why should these women have the burden of dignity or discipline?
40:41Why do we have to give that burden to this generation?
40:44Excuse me.
40:45Why do we have to give that burden to this generation?
40:58Excuse me.
40:59How do we have to give growth?
41:00Why is the idea that you fighteth from when the dog born is mirth?
41:04Because you love totit me in a country.
41:07Don't be polarized.
41:08Don't do this cucinia daudahra that is being dominated by feminazi in your life.
41:14All right, so, you know, this is not advice.
41:16This is not a take, but this is a response to what she said
41:19because she tagged us, tagged me.
41:21So, Kangana Ji, you actually lost me at kapde utarne ki azaadi.
41:26The language you used in your post directed at me is despicable.
41:30Leave alone Gen Z, you seem to have very little respect for women at all.
41:34But this isn't really about me.
41:36You also appear to conflate young women registering dissent with abusing people and taking off their clothes.
41:42Perhaps you don't know this, but our government recognized and even bowed to a protest
41:47where young men and women expressed dissent in innovative ways.
41:52Believe me, naked women shouting obscenities was not one of them.
41:56Nor was I attempting to provoke or encourage anyone to do so.
42:00My take was entirely on how you seem to have fainted an entire generation of Hindu women with the same
42:08brush,
42:08which was and is downright pathetic, communal, and here is a word you deeply hate, sexist.
42:16What I was actually hoping to provoke was something else entirely.
42:20You, hoping to incite, hoping to provoke you,
42:24that you, Mr. Anoth, would stand by these young women and applaud them for breaking barriers that our generation never
42:31could.
42:32You also speak of poor children.
42:34Kangana ji, one can always draw analogies sitting high in ivory towers.
42:39But if you truly watch the clips that you claim to have,
42:42you would know that this protest was a great class leveler,
42:46bringing together young women from every walk of life,
42:50sitting side by side in protest in solidarity.
42:54Lastly, ma'am, in your video, I believe you referred to me as a feminazi.
42:59Kangana ji, for a woman who is an achiever, a member of parliament,
43:04and someone whose words carry so much weight.
43:07I urge you, deeply, I urge you, to replace that word with feminist.
43:12You may not know it, but feminazi is a deeply insulting term.
43:18It's not a critique.
43:18It is a slur that weaponizes one of history's darkest associations to demean women who advocate for gender equality.
43:26The term undermines the hard-fought achievements of the women's movement and is routinely used to discredit silence voices speaking
43:35against patriarchy or misogyny.
43:36I'm sure you wouldn't want that, would you?
43:39I hope you choose your words more carefully in the future, because your words matter.
43:44Like your direct, borderline abusive tweet to me.
43:48Well, that's enough of a crash course for a parliamentarian.
43:50For the rest, refer to the thousands of reels already made by young Gen Z girls on your post, on
43:57your language.
43:58Far more entertaining than this.
