00:15They have sort of been playing up and down, up and down a little bit.
00:19Remember that horrible year that they had last year?
00:21They actually played pretty well in the second half of the season and have kind of continued that this year.
00:26We know they have Pete Alonzo and Gunnar Henderson and enough offense to get them through.
00:29But do they have enough pitching here down the stretch?
00:32It feels like the Orioles next week do very little.
00:36Maybe they're like a hold team to kind of see if they can get hot in the last couple months.

00:42With the amount of prospects that they've had and brought up and have been good, have been great, haven't come
00:48to fruition,
00:49they've always been in a spot where it almost seems like they're gun shy to trade away their prospects.
00:54Because of the way that Gunnar Henderson came up and exploded onto the scene, they say, OK, we have four
01:00more of these prospects.
01:01What if they all turn into Gunnar Henderson-esque players?
01:05Then we're going to have a loaded team of emerging superstars.
01:08And then we'll always be in the postseason.
01:10But sometimes you need to be willing to trade away one of those up-and-coming players in order to
01:15acquire something that you need right now.
01:17And I believe it was two years ago with the Orioles where they were looking at Jackson Holiday coming up
01:23or right on the cusp and saying,
01:24listen, if they could trade him, they could have gotten a picture that really pushed them over the edge.
01:28And they never did so.
01:29So it always seems like they're trying to play catch-up and they need another picture.
01:32But you've got to be willing to move an asset to get an asset.
01:36Yeah, they did for Burns.
01:37And then Burns left in free agency.
01:39Right.
01:40That's been the dynamic.
