00:00One Craig's thoughts on another Craig Kimbrell DFA yesterday by the Baltimore
00:08Orioles a disastrous second half for a guy at the back of the bullpen in
00:13Baltimore he was let go yesterday Craig you see the caption there it says Craig
00:18cut I got very worried when I saw that with a quick skim of the rundown
00:22yesterday something had been happened to the Daily Mail I'm glad that it's not
00:26I'm hey oh I'm glad that is not the case but Craig for your thoughts on
00:31another Craig what happened in the second half for Kimbrell in Baltimore I
00:36mean it's what happens to all pitchers at this stage of Kimbrell's career you
00:40know the Orioles were were signed him very smartly but were forced to use him
00:45early and often in a lot of different situations this was not the plan of
00:49course they had Felix Bautista as their closer you know they brought in Kimbrell
00:53to package along with the end of your canoe in the back end the Orioles
00:57didn't do a ton at the deadline as we've talked about over and over again so
01:02therefore they handed the ball to Kimbrell way too many times gave up six
01:05runs the other day I think if you look at track record for his career and you
01:11compare him to some others like Trevor Hoffman and Billy Wagner who I think is
01:15gonna get in the Hall of Fame in his next try I think Kimbrell's gonna be a
01:18Hall of Famer eventually may not be the first try second try third but
01:21eventually I do think he he gets in but I think it's fair to say that it's
01:26probably the end of the line from him being effective now Ben I would say this
01:30if Kimbrell wants to pitch for another two or three years come in in the sixth
01:34inning maybe in some losing situations with the White Sox or some other team he
01:39absolutely will get signed and he can continue to pitch he can if he want if
01:42they got to tear the jersey off him this is what happens in baseball but as far
01:45as him being an eighth or ninth inning guy in the future I think we've seen the
01:48end of that
