02:26for this week's meeting we will be discussing glamour magic i've mentioned glamour magic in
02:31the past particularly in some of our rituals videos but that was a very brief explanation
02:38so today i will go into as much depth as i can feel free to put your insights and questions

02:55glamour magic glamour magic has been practiced for a very long time all around the world
03:02it began with the concept of beauty and visual appeal glamour magic is the magical aspect of
03:12changing your appearance for a long time humans have known that it feels good to look good
03:18and witches have known this especially well since we often dress up or strip down for rituals when
03:26you feel confident and proud of your appearance your mood improves your aura becomes brighter
03:32your magic is enhanced your overall view of yourself improves and your soul and higher self beam with
03:41joy and fulfillment you may be asking what is considered glamour magic glamour magic consists of
03:48anything that changes or enhances your appearance it can be makeup clothes accessories shoes cosplay
03:57jewelry piercings tattoos body paint or even cosmetic surgery you can do as much or as little as you want
04:06you can transform yourself into a more accurate representation of your true self or transform into
04:14someone else either way focus on the magic and power of transformation as you work your glamour magic
04:22let's start with the basic thing that most people wear which are clothes how can you make selecting an
04:31outfit for the day more magical well mindfulness is the key to adding magic to your daily life start with
04:40an
04:41intention you can select your clothes based on what vibe you're feeling or aiming for you can select
04:48based on what feels comfortable on your body on that particular day you can select your clothes based on
04:58what your plans for the day are you can select a color based on your personal system of color magic
05:06my husband is
05:08actually really into color magic so sometimes i will add one of the colors from his color magic to my
05:17own outfits
05:18so for example today is a blue day so i added blue to my makeup and i'm wearing my blue
05:23collar if you're like me and most of
05:26your wardrobe is one color you can add color magic with accessories you can charge your accessories
05:35on your altar or in the moonlight to add magic to them you can also incorporate stone magic lately i've
05:43gotten into the practice of drawing one card from each of my decks for the day's theme or focus and
05:51based
05:52on what the cards say i will choose the stones that go in my cage necklace for the day so
06:00the cage necklace
06:01i love because it is a great way to have your stones if you don't have pockets so you know
06:11sometimes you
06:11don't want to stick it in your bra you know the pointy ones might hurt um or you might just
06:17forget that
06:18it's there which i commonly do and then when you go to take your bra off there it goes on
06:22the floor
06:23and sometimes you just don't have pockets so this is a really good way to carry your stones without
06:29having to worry about what way you're carrying them you know what i mean so this is super easy all
06:38you do
06:39is you pull it to stretch it and then you pop your stones in there or you can sort of
06:47like stretch it
06:48this way kind of like a mouth and pop your stones in there and i like to sort of arrange
06:55mine so they
06:56fit well if you don't like the cage i recommend putting your stones in your pockets bag or hat some
07:03companies make shoes with pockets in them so that would be a really good place for your stones
07:09and of course you can often find stones in jewelry form so you don't have to worry about storing them
07:16many symbols are often made into jewelry and other types of accessories such as hair clips
07:23these can be charged to strengthen their powers some coats may have symbols as well other things
07:29to consider with accessories are the other materials that they are made of such as metals or leather
07:37you can rub a drop of moon water on your accessories to infuse them with moon magic you can also
07:45charge
07:45your items by figures of the deities or entities whose power you wish to wield you can also charge your
07:54items by figures of the deities or entities whose powers you wish to harness i keep most of my jewelry
08:02in a shell below my altar because it charges them but i also have two specific necklaces that i charge
08:09on top of the altar one is a hades coin on one side it has hades on the other side
08:16it has hades and
08:17persephone i put that near my hades and persephone statues and when persephone is in the underworld so
08:26autumn and winter i store the stone on the altar with the persephone side facing up and when it is
08:35spring or
08:36summer when persephone is in the mortal world i store the coin with the hades side up and the other
08:45one
08:45is a small jar of shungite that has a triple moon metal logo on it and it charges next to
08:59my hakate statue
09:01hair care and skin care are both self-care and glamour magic you can customize your skin care routine to
09:11suit your skin type and goals you can dye straighten curl and style your hair as you can see i
09:20recently
09:20dyed my hair red and i'm really happy with how it turned out previously it was green before that it
09:29was
09:29half green half purple before that it was purple before that it was half purple half teal and then
09:36before that was teal and that's just recently within like this year i guess um i think maybe i started
09:48last year but yeah i i have had a lot of other hair colors in the past as well but
09:55those are just the
09:56recent ones you can try a new hairstyle or color or you can do one of your favorites if you
10:05don't want to
10:05be limited to what your natural hair can do or how much chemical damage it can take you can always
10:14get a wig i love wigs i always have they're fun they are a great way to try out different
10:21styles and colors
10:24without it being permanent or long term some days i wear a blonde wig some days i wear my wig
10:33that
10:34is the colors of the ace flag i love my asexual pride wig is what i call it i also
10:41have a teal wig a black
10:44wig and a dark red one and i definitely will have more in the future for personal and cosplay use

10:56currently obsessed with house of the dragon so like i'm trying really hard not to get a white wig
11:01i want one so bad but discipline so i like actually have a whole list on amazon that's just wigs
11:14and i love wigs so much next up is makeup i've always loved to play with makeup it's a great
11:22way to express
11:23yourself and there are an infinite amount of ways to do it creating your own style can be a lot
11:30of fun
11:31you can try tutorials try to replicate particular styles or just make it up as you go pun intended
11:41i like to change the colors of my eyebrows with eyeshadow i i usually do two different colors
11:48colors and i like to do a lot of like bright and vibrant colors with a lot of black or
11:55sometimes

12:32different ways to express yourself with makeup the best part about makeup as glamour magic is that with
12:40it you can transform your appearance however drastically or subtly you want makeup can make
12:48you look like a completely different person or it can accentuate your natural beauty and both are valid
12:56and can be deeply meaningful cosplay is another fun form of glamour magic if you don't know cosplay is when
13:04you dress up in a costume and act like the character you can pick a character that you love one
13:11that you
13:11hate one that you just feel like you might be good at portraying or even one that you've made up
13:17yourself
13:18you can follow the source materials costume or make up your own you can do an alternate version of the
13:25character such as a pinup version a goth version a burlesque version a gender bending which if you don't
13:34know is essentially just changing the gender of the character and changing the outfit accordingly
13:42vampire versions zombie versions and so on it doesn't have to be a canon cosplay and canon is essentially
13:51just according to source materials so like it doesn't have to align with the source material
13:59to be valid it can be anything honestly anything as good as bad whatever it works as long as you
14:11are
14:12you know in the mindset of the character and trying to portray the character i think that
14:20all that really counts everybody's at a different skill level and some people buy their stuff and they
14:26don't make it and that's fine you can cosplay any character you want some people actually cosplay as
14:33real celebrities and like historical figures sometimes so that can be interesting as well
14:40many cosplayers make their own costume which is something that i need to resume doing i got all the
14:46materials and stuff well not all but most of the materials and stuff but i have not started on it
14:51yet
14:52oops but many others buy their costumes which is also valid there's also casual cosplay which is
15:01essentially cosplaying what the character would be like in a casual setting you know like jeans sweatpants
15:10t-shirt that kind of thing just hanging out listening to music you know just casual settings
15:18cosplaying isn't just an art it's a combination of multiple arts and that's magical as fuck focus on
15:27channeling the energy vibe and aura of your character and you will increase your performance and the magic of it
15:36many cosplayers use body paint as well as makeup body paint is a form of glamour magic that i don't
15:43have much
15:43experience experience with personally but i will when i'm ready to do the cosplays that require it
15:50but i do love looking at body paint it's very it's a very beautiful form of art the more permanent
15:57forms of glamour magic are piercings tattoos and cosmetic surgery of course these are not completely
16:04permanent but they usually last a lot longer than other forms of glamour magic like makeup i have only one
16:13tattoo so far but i have a long list of tattoos that i want to get and as far as
16:19piercings goes my ears
16:20and my nose but i do want other piercings as well i've always loved tattoos and piercings but most goths
16:30and witches and especially goth witches do so that explains a lot piercings are cute and they can be as
16:41temporary as you want them to be if you want or need to get rid of it for any reason
16:46all you have
16:47to do is take the jewelry out and it'll close up and sometimes it doesn't even leave a scar tattoos
16:54are a
16:55little more permanent um sometimes it's just better to cover it up with another tattoo as opposed to like just
17:03getting it removed altogether either way i think that most passionate people have at least one thing
17:10that they would love enough to get a tattoo of and i highly encourage it because if your body's a
17:17temple
17:17why not decorate it like one as for cosmetic surgery i think that if you're aware of the risks and
17:24know the
17:25ones performing it have a lot of successful operations in the past you should do what you feel will help
17:33you
17:34feel more confident and allow you to love your body the only like cosmetic surgery that i've had is a
17:42lot
17:42of dental work um because my crazy hormones and a lot of pained teeth clenching have caused a lot of
17:54issues
17:54with my teeth but i definitely want to get things so bad i will get them eventually because of my
18:04health issues and because they require so many surgeries and there are so many other potential
18:12surgeries that i might need i don't really want any unnecessary surgeries but i understand people who do
18:20the only thing that i would do is like if if my boobs got to a point where i felt
18:26that i needed to
18:28get a reduction then i would because fuck that however i encourage those who are interested in it to
18:36do thorough research on these specific procedures operations and doctors and don't forget to meditate about
18:43it ask your higher self or any entities or deities that you work with for their opinions glamour magic
18:52should be fun sometimes it gets messy but it's an important part of the process it is in the mess
18:59that
18:59we discover accidental wins new perspectives and new styles let your true self shine or take on another
19:09persona whichever you choose glamour magic is present in every clothing makeup shoe and accessory that you select
