00:25President of the Roxborough Village Council, Mikel Lewis, told the TV6 News
00:30the blocking of the beach area is of concern to the fisherfolk.
00:34Even though there's an owner, we are saying as the village council,
00:39this is where the boats would dock.
00:43Now we are in the rainy season as well.
00:46And given that is the case, a tropical storm warning, anything could happen.
00:51Now when this is the case, where are the fishermen going to pull up their boats?
00:54Public Relations Officer of the Roxborough Fish and Folk Association, Brian Daniel,
00:59is not ruling out legal action in the matter.
01:02So do you plan as an association to take legal action anymore?
01:06If it comes to that, we'll have to go that direction.
01:09Contractor Curtis Nimlet told the TV6 News,
01:13while he has been contracted to carry out the fencing of the property,
01:17he is hopeful the matter would be resolved.
01:20Documents indicating ownership of the land was shown to the Roxborough Village Council on Friday.
01:27I hope that sometime in the near future,
01:30that some negotiation or consultation could take place
01:35and we could arrive at some amicable solution.
