00:00The mole situation at Chopra Cultural Complex, well I would have assumed
00:05Judith's there in May 2024 and two weeks after I got sick. Been to the hospital,
00:14been to seven different doctors including two dermatologists and only one
00:18doctor would have diagnosed the mole. My blood count was 6.9. Doctors asked me how
00:25am I alive for today and so I would have brought it I would have brought it to my
00:30former boss which is who is Niall George who is currently the presiding officer
00:35and he informed me to not report to the office right and since after that it
00:41went downhill from there. Forbes Reid says her ordeal began while she was
00:46working at the Chopra Complex in May of 2024 where she alleges mold was present
00:52in her office and on furniture she used daily. She told TV6 News she suffered
00:58severe scarring to her back, legs, shoulder and chest which she attributes to
01:05exposure of mold deposits on her chair, desk and other areas of the office. Forbes
01:11Reid also claims she was not the only employee affected. She says several of her
01:18colleagues experienced skin irritations with some requiring hospital treatment.
01:24She's now considering legal action as she seeks answers over what she says
01:30happened to her health while working at the complex.
01:34On my office chair and I brought it to the cultural officer's attention and she just spray
01:40Lysol and place a plastic over it and just push it in a corner. So it was on the chair,
01:46it was on the
01:46desk and on the telephone and on the computer. Are you exploring your legal options?
01:51Of course I am. I'm definitely exploring my options because of the permanent scarring of my skin.
01:57Forbes Reid says she brought the alleged mold problem to the attention of the then
02:04assistant secretary and now presiding officer of the Tobago House of Assembly Niall George.
02:10George confirmed to TV 6 News that the issue was brought to his attention and that he subsequently
02:17wrote to the administrator regarding the matter. But Forbes Reid says the mold issue is not the only
02:23matter. She is seeking to resolve. She says she is also awaiting payment of her
02:29charity after documents were received and have been awaiting the necessary sign off from
02:35presiding officer Niall George since me. He has to do the appraisal in terms of grading my performance
02:41for the service in which I provided in capacity of personal secretary. So that's it. How would you rate
02:49your performance? Well, last performance appraisals were good. They were very good. So I cannot
02:57understand what's the difference now. When contacted, Mr. George has said he is aware of the document
03:02and it would be treated with Elizabeth Williams, TV 6 News.
