00:09So I'm going to go with a safer option and get braids.

00:30Today on Brianna, I'll be giving her dirty blonde goddess braids.

00:37So I'm really looking forward to making sure that there's a seamless transition
00:43between my black hair and the blonde hair.
00:45But then I also want to make sure that the curly body wave looks really full and luscious.
00:51I do have some thinning around my edges from a quick weave,
00:54and so I really want to make sure that this is as gentle as possible.
00:59So how do you feel about going blonde?
01:01I'm really excited.
01:02I wanted a really big change.
01:04I've never been this blonde before, so I'm anxious to see how I look with it.
01:09Yeah, I feel like 613 is a good color to try.
01:12It's one of my favorites.

01:16Okay, let's get started.
01:18First, I will begin to part the back, which is the nape, into a small section.
01:25Then I will be using Suavecito's edge control to define the part.
01:30Once her part is defined, then I will make four squares in the back of her nape evenly.
01:36Once that is complete, I will begin using Rossifari synthetic braiding hair,
01:41and I will be adding six pieces of pubic hair through each braid.
01:46To do small, dirty blonde goddess braids, it should take me about four hours.
01:52So the hair I have, it's my first 613, so it's as blonde as it comes.
01:58And then I also got a mix of 27 and 30, which are some brown tones to
02:06even out the blonde transition with my black hair, so it gives that dirty blonde feel.
02:12And then I also have a water wave human hair in 613 to give the curly, luscious body that I'm
02:22looking for.
02:23In total, for the dirty blonde goddess braids, you get small.
02:27It costs about $425, just with braiding hair included and a wash and blow dry,
02:32but you will need to provide your own human hair.
02:34In total, the hair came to about $200.
02:39My hair journey has been a journey.
02:42I was getting perms when I was younger, and then by sophomore year of high school,
02:46I went fully natural.
02:49I've had a bunch of different colors in between.
02:51I've done auburn, red, I've gone jet black, honey blonde,
02:56and so now I'm in my most natural black, natural stage hair.
03:01The dirty blonde goddess braids is a protective style.
03:06It lasts about six to eight weeks.
03:08Depends on proper care.
03:10Once everything is complete, I will begin to do the baby hair.
03:14I'll be using Suavecito Edge Control to define her baby hairs as well.
03:19After that, I will mousse her down and use oil shine to shine her up, blow dry it in.
03:25And once we have completed that, we will dip the ends of her braids.
03:29Then I will trim her ends to make sure her hair is defined.
03:33And now that everything is complete, I will now show Brie her final look.
